Not really sadly, the desk clamp is already a c-clamp, but i would need a 90° rotation in order to be able to put the arm into the hole of the clamp since my rod is straight up and the clamp would go sideways. Or do you mean use a c-clamp on the rod and then mount the desk clamp to it?

Streamdecks are supported fairly well, not all features are the same though. You can check out StreamController by Core447, its kind of like the StreamDeck software. Cameras, mics etc. will work, but i dont really know about any software support for them. There is tons of alternative software not specifically to use with elgato products of course, but it might take some reading and maybe writing your own little scripts.

To elaborate: none of Elgato's official software is supported on Linux, and from my cursory glances it doesn't appear anyone's succeeded properly running them via WINE or such.

I believe capture cards should Just Work™ under Linux with standard capture software, including OBS and the like. Cameras and microphones should be detected and work in a basic manner, but you likely won't get the same kind of utilities like Wave Link that you do under Windows (this might not be a problem based on your audio setup). I can't speak to the lighting products, unfortunately. Stream Deck is in the best place of them all I'd say, with multiple third party reimplementations of the software built for Linux. You're solidly in "on your own" territory there, though.

The reason why we wouldn’t give you anything as far as work around it’s because of the HDCP. There are ways around it, but none of us are probably gonna give you that answer that you’re looking for. It’s best to probably research and then buy or beware on any of the products that you do get that woould permit you to do so but none of us here would condone piracy or anything that bypasses HDCP best of luck to you though.

Hey guys! Love the wave link software and wave XLR! I am here about a specific question. I am running into a situation where I need to be able to connect multiple XLR mics. Am having a hard time figuring out if I can use 3 Wave XLRs and connect them all to my PC AND use the wave link software still. Every Google search seem to return info on using one wave XLR in a dual PC stream setup but that's not at all what I am looking for. I need to connect two my XLR pencil condenser mics plus a Rode Pod Mic to my computer and wondering if buying 2 additional wave XLRs (I own one already) will do the trick. The one Reddit post said there may be an issue with the wave link software recognizing more than one wave XLR. Any input?

You can't use Multiple Wave devices with Wave Link. You can use multiple with Windows (or macOS) if you're not planning to run them through Wave Link though

They used a 2-port Mixer like a Behringer or Yamaha and then combined them into one XLR output into the Wave XLR, with the disadvantage that audio from both mics at the same time causes audio to sound awful and cancel eachother out

Would those work with mics with such different properties though? They were using Wave DX's on all the inputs which I imagine makes things easier. The question here invovles 2 XLR condensers and a dynamic PodMic.

Yeah if it’s a mixer that can output mic-level, and properly power the mics on its own and mix the signals then it should be fine. Just need to then consider whatever effects they use are being used on the mix of the mics as a whole.
But if it’s a splitter that doesn’t have amplifiers then weird things happen electrically to the microphones and their signal will probably be out of the normal range the mic preamp is expecting. Much lower impedance, for example.
Might get signal but sound very weird.

Dynamic mics are probably a best case scenario for this, but it’s still likely not great

Old capture cards like HD60 still use Game Capture HD. Newer cards like HD60 S, HD60 X, etc, use 4K Capture Utliity. Video Capture is specific to a device also called Video Capture, which does analog video only.

I have EpocCam Pro, and was using Wifi streaming, but it's very choppy.

I tried using Iphone>USB>Camera Hub, but the iPhone never connects despite being connected via USB. Does USB no longer work on Windows?

There is unofficial third-party software that does, such as streamdeck-ui or OpenDeck, but you might not have all of the features of the official software available and we wouldn't be able to help with any problems you might have with those.

Download their appropriate plugins from the Marketplace for most of them. Some you might only need to setup Hotkeys with the system action, depending on what you're doing

Eg a lot of art programs you can get away with just setting up the hotkeys for what you need to do

Some may have additional functions if you use a dedicated plugin like the Photoshop one though.
Keep in mind not all programs have plugins though.

It needs a Wave USB mic, Elgato XLR interface, or Stream Deck+ to activate the app.
While the app is active you can use it with other devices, though only Elgato Products can currently use Voice Focus mode, the other features and plugins should be fine. Eg, I've used mine in the past with a Focusrite interface, unlocking the app with Stream Deck+

ok, I do have the stream deck+ so i would be able to use it. I am just unsure about what to get for a mic. I am kinda on a budget lower then what the xlr dock mic arm and mic costs from elgato. I am what so ever going to get the xlr dock tho since i can hide it away in the stream deck+

I mean, given it's the Elgato sever you could go with the Wave DX - it's a standard XLR mic 🙂 But yeah, pretty much any XLR mics should work fine with XLR dock, sicne it can do up to 75 dB of gain.

If you're going with an under monitor arm, make sure your monitor is tall enough too. My old montior was actually too short. The measurements for the arms are on the spec sheets for the Elgato ones.

Also long as the USB-A port is a 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 or better, it can still work just fine. Also keep in mind that 4K Capture Utility doesn't do high refresh rate recording, you'd want another app like OBS Studio for that

For anyone else coming across issues with Streamlabs Desktop, The 6.9.0 update removed Streamlabs Desktop from integration within the Stream Deck software and added into it's own stand alone plugin. As for OBS, try it with an earlier version like 28 - that specific card doesn't seem to like OBS 30, some folks have had it pop up immediately on the older version

Even after the driver? I'd check the old Game Capture App then - that's what it was originally designed to run on. If that doesn't see it either (and make sure you get the latest one from that link not the Win 7 one there), then bring the issue to #capture-cards . Also note lights on the card - it should flash white twice on connection as it starts up when it does the self test.

And make sure if you're not sure it's the original USB cable that the cable you're using with that old card is at least USB 2.0. Those old USB Mini plugs also were used on USB 1 cables. Wouldn't hurt to check for dirt or signs of corrosion on the cable or the card's contact pins either, given the age of the original HD60

hello i had a interesting question. I'm in the process of building a new PC after mine caught fire. I'm considering a couple cases. one which is the Hyte Y70. if i get a y70 with a vertical, will the Elgato 4K Pro have the ability to fit with a 1/2 height pci bracket with the y70 vertical gpu?

Many tabletop mic stands exist.
They will come with a 5/8 thread in North America (and 3/8 in Europe)
So you’d just need to adapt that to 1/4 to make it fit all Elgato gear.

If I have a stream deck+ with xlr and I buy a Rodecaster Duo to supplement more microphones I can have 3 XLR slots total including my stream decks right? So I could have three people chatting on my stream setup? I'd like to know before I pull the trigger

You can, yes. You can add up to 9 inpout channels, including devices like the Rodecaster, to Wave Link as well.

One thing to watch though is only the XLR Dock will work with the microphone FX channel - for the Rodecaster you'd want to set it up in Stream Mix or Monitor Mix.

The way I use Wave Link there's no point for me having Stream + Monitor Mix. They both do the same thing for me and I just really dont understand this software to the extent I should know it. What do you mean by the FX channel not working and needing to be setup in Stream & Monitor Mix

It's not shown in the app like Stream Mix or Monitor Mix, but think of it as stream mix with only the mic channel

i will need to do research on this since all of this is flying over my head but with the inbuilt mixing of a Rodecaster do you reckon the audio will be just as good as my main mic plugged into the Stream Deck+ XLR

That depends on what sort of effects you've applied and how you're doing it - the Rodecaster Duo will have it's own on hardware, but you can also pull it through Wave Link using the Stream Mix and apply the same effects you have on your current mic to get the same sound, in general. So it CAN, it's a matter of how you set it upo

got my new (old) Fire tablet in to run Stream Deck Mobile on an entire week ahead of schedule! Seems everything works so far with a single SDM instance installed via the Google Play Store
