I do, and I've owned a bunch of them, including the Shure MV7... I think standalone pod/studio microphones are highly overrated.

I refunded the headset though, because it was kinda ugly and as said, sound wasn't that great. But the microphone was extremely impressive and even more so, as it is a wireless headset, but oh lord that mic sounded good.

Ok gotcha. For what it’s worth, mv7 is very good as a usb mic for the cost, but it’s not really on the same level as SM7b or other pro dynamics or condensers with a good preamp. So you’re comparing against better than average usb mics, but I would caution you to think that means it competes with pro mics.

I also compare to all the pro streamers who use the SM7B... that kind of mics are amazing in very quiet and specific environments, but I'm sorry mate, you should get and try the 50x for yourself, the microphone is nothing else but outstanding. And then you can return it for the ugly design and poor sound.

I’m sure it’s a great sounding headset mic!
But you can’t compare mics by listening to them on different voices either. You’re not controlling the source, and several other factors like your own listening environment…
Anyway, I’m not trying to say it’s a poor mic. But as a professional just take the gentle reminder that you don’t really have the perspective to be making the claim that you’re making. 🙂

Wrong, I have personal experience with it all. As well as you really lack perspective of use case. A good mic is a good mic, it's as simple as that.

As one who has worked with video editing, content creating, streaming and more.. both professionally and as a hobby, you are simply wrong. If we talk the creation of music, singing etc. in a quiet environment and so forth, naturally a controlled condenser microphone is better for that specific purpose. However, it all depends and from pure sound quality, right of the box and for what it's made for and what this whole discord is for (gaming and content creation), that is as of this date, the very best microphone out there.

Anyone have an extra of that black plastic insert for the arm mount of the LP arm? Got my arm in the mail and it was missing that piece and the set screw. Found a set screw at the hardware store but that insert seems pretty purpose made doubt I'll find another.

That’s really the only reason, other than that it it’s a great mic

That's not on the microphone itself, unless you add a ton more like foam or something around it, which would require you to add even more gain, thus getting the same level of keyboard clicks etc

There are a lot of good noise reduction VST's you can use inside Wave Link, personally I use Waves Clarity VX and it's incredible 🙂

I'm having an issue with the Marketplace. Is this something I should use #official-tech-support channel for?

I had to wipe and rebuild my computer and reinstall my software. Once done I attempted to grab the plugins I used from the Marketplace and it won't take my password. However, if I go to https://elgato.com and enter my username/password there it works without any problems. I couldn't remember and thought maybe I needed a separate account for the marketplace. oh dear god please someone help me out im lost as helll... is it possible my 4k60pro not compatible with my motherboard which is Gigabyte b760 ds3h ? im not good in hardwares and im struggleing rn. the IT guy put the card into my pc, with the mentioned board, i reinstall everything, connect it to the gamer pc and in the moment i open obs, sound dies start to lagging as hell.. can this be because my pcie slot not good for this card?

This would normally get asked over in #capture-cards - but checking the listed spec for that board at https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B760-DS3H-DDR4-rev-10/sp#sp it is not compatible. 4K60 Pro needs a 4 lanes in the slot (listed as x4), all of those except your GPU are limited to x1.

Though I would expect it to only have issues with not showing video, not lagging out the system

Usually you wind up with it just not giving video, or part of the screen is just green from where it ran out of bandwidth

HD60 would work in that system if you can get one of the older cards and don't need 4K.
It also has a 3.2 Gen 2 port that would work with the 4K X external card.

Game is probably higher refresh rate or resolution, that's about match up

4K60 Pro Mk2 will sometimes work with x1 at up to 1080p60 and get really weird beyond that. Sometimes. Offically not compatible though because even then it can get weird.

My hubby is a high level HAM radio operator and was borrowing mine. He was fascinated by it. So I got him his very own. He has this thing locked in. He tunes everything up, makes antenae adjustments, runs scripts, logs and things I don't even understand ❤️

If you’re talking about the nvidia one, far as I know it just doesn’t work for some computers.
Works fine on mine but for what it’s worth the resource utilization is higher than the comparative effect in nvidia broadcast anyway.

Can you try in a different browser like Edge, or Firefox? It's important to narrow down if this fault is coming from the way something is interacting with your browser, or if you have some sort of network related issue that's causing the site to partly not load

If you only get it in one browser it gives a place to start looking - if it happens in two, it gets a bit more tricky because that implies network issues or something like a malfunctioning security app blocking part of the site.

In the White Balance settings for the camera, cool temperature seems to be the inverse scale to the light. Example, 'cool' temperature is set to about 3500k on camera (blue), but relatively same cool blue is 6300k for light. Have I set something up wrong, or is that normal.

I guess I was expecting the values to be same scale directionally.

Hey guys, i have a question. Is there any effect I can add to my elgato mic that can pic up the ambient sound, then completely reverse the frequencies and play it back in a way to cancel out any sounds at all? So I can use any headset with good noise canceling?

That's what most AI noise cancellaing plugins try to do. If you have an NVidia GPU there's the NVidia Noise Cancellation by Elgato VST plugin for Wave Link. Also NVidia Broadcast app. Some folks here use Waves Clarity Vx. There's a bunch out there, some paid, some free

right the problem is I want it backwards. I don't want it to cancel for the input, I want it to do it on my headset, so I can effectively cancel any noise from my headset in real time so when I play any audio on my computer I don't hear squat from outside.

for example, right now my wife is watching the TV, even though there's noise cancelling with my mic and nvidia gpu I can still clearly hear the tv

Oh, you want active noise cancelling on the headset - that's not going to work in real time, the latency is going to be too high even if you could set it up

Also the mic and headset being in different positions would throw the accuracy away to the point it would be almost useless anyway

There's a reason most ANC headsets and earbuds have to have multiple mics to do good ANC

If you've got the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless it should (wired version might too). It's not the best I've used though - good for stuff like a mini fridge, but not great for stuff like road noise that changes.
