@everyone 🤔 okay question. Is elgato still using the elgato sound capture software? Because I can't find it anywhere. I went to El gato's website and the link I did find is taking me to downloads which and turn is not on that page. They all got a sound capture is still apparently on the actual elgato capture HD software but I can't get it to come up and it's not installed like it was before

Does anyone know how to setup the streamdeck as a soundboard to where I can record & loop stuff people say in-game over the microphone?

im not sure you could easily do the recording natively . but you could use the SD as a shortcut key/control for a looping/recording software.
then add the recordings to the soundboard buttons on the streamdeck

Yeah I’m brand new to this, so it makes little sense — but the ultimate goal is to just be able to press a key on the soundboard that records a line that was just previously said and then spam it as a troll lol not really in public chats but more when I’m just in calls with my friends

With Elgato wave in wave link products, how can you keep the stream output and audio track of Spotify music separate? No music is playing in the stream audio but instead is running via a separate audio because if I deselect the stream output in obs then there is no game audio because it is linked to it and how can I play music without being banned from Twitch

Add Audio Capture on Spotify in OBS directly, mute Spotify on Stream Mix in Wave Link, Use VOD track and make sure the Spotify capture isn't on there

That's how I do it until we get a 2nd Stream Mix

you won't have a problem with game audio unless game has DMCA music in it, but some games have a Streamer Mode in them now that removes copyrighted music ingame

I would:

1. Remove the Video Capture Source from Streamlabs Desktop, wait a minute, and then quit Streamlabs Desktop.
2. Open Device Manager, find the camera, right click on it and choose Uninstall device.
3. Once that is done, shut down your PC and unplug the camera.
4. Boot the PC and once its back up, plug the camera into a different USB port and let Windows detect the camera and set it up.
5. Once that is complete, launch Streamlabs Desktop as administrator and add the Video Capture Source back.

You don't need to live in the area if you're applying for the Social Media Internship position, but you will be required to be in the Milpitas office. Unfortunately, we don't offer relocation, so you'll need to move to the area for the summer for this position if you get chosen.

Microphone FX will work with just your mic and it's VST's yes. You can also mix the mic into your Stream Mix with VSTs - the Mic FX will be ONLY the mic and it's VSTs and is good for using it with other apps like Discord where you don't want your whole stream mix, just the mic.

Hi, planning on getting an elgsto4k60 to connect my pc to my MacBook running windows through an adapter, to use the MacBook to stream the games played on my pc. Just wondering if there are any performance hits using an elgato on the game on my pc, and also was wondering if I can use the pc with the elgato plugged in but not connected to the MacBook, as sometimes I won’t be bothered to be connect it if I’m not streaming as I willdisconnect the laptop daily to take it to school. Because of this the elgato will just be in the pc not connected tot he MacBook at times. Thanks

To confirm this is an older Intel mac running Windows in Bootcamp by the sounds of it? There should be minimal impact running the PC through the capture card to your monitor (or cloning the PC's main screen to the capture card's virtual display). Disconnecting it would be the same as not connecting to a display - shouldn't be notable impact (though if you're physially disconnecting the capture card it use the clone route as the 4K60 Pro will lose passthrough ability if not powered). For the Motherboard, check your manual - some split up the actual slots differently. You need at least x4 lanes actually available in one of those slots (but the card is PCIe 2.0 so either will work if they're at least x4). Some motherboards change the number of available lanes based on what's connected inside. Any further questions on it should be asked in #capture-cards generally.

Yes, but the actual manual for the motherboard will tell you what lanes are available based on the config of the particualr system

For example some lose lanes if you plug in another NVMe SSD

That said - if the capture card is going to the Windows running Mac with an adapter (I'm assuming an Thunderbolt PCIe enclosure) the PCIe lanes in the PC won't matter, The PC will connect with HDMI.

It occurs to me that I should probably confirm that you're talking the 4K60 Pro, and not the 4K60S+ USB based one. But given the talk of PCIe ports I'm assuming the Pro which is PCIe based.

Good luck with it - but maybe check that the Bootcamped mac also meets the specs for it. If it's a base macbook you might be able to use the intel QSV encoder with something like OBS, but you could also wind up stuck on software encoding which needs a moderately powerful CPU

hey everyone! new to streaming, started off streaming from twitch on my ps5 to now streaming on my ps5 through my elgato hd60 x with the chat link pro. ive noticed no matter how many youtube videos ive watched my streamlabs desktop will not produce my game play or chat audio. in the mixer i cant even get the volume (green, yellow, red) to come up to show anything. has anyone else ran into this that could help out? im going crazy trying to stream but its tough with no sound or audio to interact with viewers

It's bundled in with Game Capture HD, not a separate download. You may have to go to "All Downloads" to see it if your card uses the newer 4K Capture, but Sound Capture will still work with the newer cards once installed.

Yea it plops in a trunk easily. I just have some shoots in the Rocky Mountains for example that require back packs and back strength. It was more of wondering if anyone else had found the perfect bag for the stuff.

There are cymbalbags you could use, made for carrying cymbals for drumsets
