I was wondering if there was any response in this chat from the devs about the props not being able to be placed in air anymore? Chat went brrr for a long time there so I’m not sure if I missed something or not. It seems like a bug but we’ve had a few updates now and nothing in the known issues so I’m worried it’s a VERY unwanted change. It’s gonna kill oobing even more than they have with the last round of changes. But it also makes getting up to some of the non oob higher spots almost impossible solo.

Finishing this third quest is really interesting — although there's no "following" happening, that seems to be what's happening here. Oh, if you think about it this is like we're in a wind path except there's no wind path. Because you can still steer your flight without breaking the "follow"

So the quest was enlightening. Despite all my theories on what that area was used for, racing manta rays never occured to me, and yet it makes stupid sense. One of the memories in that location was about a manta ray. I mean all the memories kind of suggest that but it wasnt till now that I make the connections.

Id love to see them change crabwalk level 1/2 to have the same effect as the skipping emote that you walk in this way as long as you dont fly or do another emote.

the skipping emote is a whole new kind of emote I noticed that you can't use it at all when flying, while with every other emote you can still use it in the air (regardless of whether it's a "static" one like the point emote or one that let's you move, like the laugh)
I hope that means that we can get more walking emotes and hopefully make the assembly marching emote into one

Hi beta fam, been a while Still, am I the only one worried about the fact that the main seasonal rewards are expressions that eat up a ton of hearts? Imo newbies will find it very hard to farm enough hearts for all these expressions (already sent to btw)

its cheaper per emote than to fully upgrade an emote from a TS to get the whole set and the heart upgrades aren’t required to get upper rewards so i think its okay

Its 24 hearts / 15 candles to max out all three emotes i don’t think its too crazy especially since I highly doubt these are time limited like those of the TS.

TGC made the tier 2 capes and the elder masks while being fully aware how grindy they would be so unfortunately as much as id love to see a reduced cost or a currency switch I doubt it will happen.

Regardless, change has to start from somewhere. In light of the #beta-announcements post previously mentioning that the team is looking into the "broader issues" I hope they can take this into consideration too. Just voicing my thoughts + will definitely write feedback.

The season quests have been wonderful so far (albeit buggy), I hope more positive change can come from this season moving forward. I also really enjoy how they've been adding life to the previously established areas.

Yes the quests are nice. Would be great if the quest pace wasn't this fast though, it's a shame to not be able to fully appreciate the audio/visuals because a player is too focused on not getting left behind. Waiting to see how slow they make it since they're already aware that the pacing is a little too frantic.

Feels like the quest pace follows the actual tempo of the songs but it gets tricky because the pace by which we can fly and move doesn't follow those same tempos. In the valley I noticed that you do get carried alongside the voice for most parts but there are parts in between where I had to frantically flap to keep up with the voice guide. Too fast, really. Doesnt give enough time to soak in the experience, players end up focusing on keeping up rather than the actual content of the quests

Oh true true, the quest pacing really has to be slowed down, I barely registered anything in the 2nd or 3rd quests because I was too focused on catching up, staying within the audio sphere and minding my flaps and direction. It's too many things to keep track of: speed, flaps, direction, reading the lyrics at the bottom, following the voice, trying to interpret what the spirits are doing in the memories... I ended up just prioritizing speed because I didn't want to get left behind and have to repeat the quest over and over again.

for me the problem has more been that i can never tell when it wants me to just not move and when it's expecting me to go flapflapflap. i didn't realize i could just rely on the jellies in the second quest so i kept having to restart and only because of that i realized i might not have to move much at all for the valley one (valley one ended up going all smoothly for me). it's like.. the music tells me to go fast but i have to realize that i actually need to stay still and let the game take me through but i can't really focus on what the spirits are doing in the memories because i'm focusing so much on the possibility of having to suddenly start flapping ::D

To me, the ultimate gifts are kind of lackluster. The butterfly cape looked better before with more transparency, the pants aren't the best. And the Aurora hair seems a little too round- sort of reminds me of another jellyfish hair but that's just my opinion

But in my opinion the only thing that sets the ult apart from the other capes is its transparency i feel like it would be kinda dwarfed if every cape was transparent especially since the other capes have more interesting and complex designs in comparison.

Not everyone has the same perception of “nice” as you, same as not everyone has the money to afford all the capes. Anyway, how do you know they want to buy the capes or not? Besides, expressing one’s opinion on a matter does not mean they are complaining. “Pay before you complain” is kind of gatekeeping and not accepting different perspectives, and that is definitely not mature conversation. It’s still in the mid stages of beta and things could definitely change, and i personally hope they could improvise on the designs.

Or u can compare 3 red cape: From season of dream, season of belonging and red cape pack from day of fortune pack. I tried to mix very much but 2 spirit capes can't have a look like red cape pack. It have better color both in light or dark, better material, the color inside is gradient. And what will happend if the cape in adventure pass have transperent color ?
And more. Both of them have the same design but u see many veterent have belonging capes. They are the same too, a litter different in color and design but still make a different in design. Many people have like red but other like black or white. And they said nothing about this. But now why they are complaning about the transperent and the same design ?

I think all we want it but hard to pay. I know tgc do very well in choose color, material design for each kind of cape like ultimate, free spirit ( first time we can get it free in the season), in pass spirit( which we have to buy pass to get it, then it is a ts), iap pack ( yes! very expensive but very worth color and design than all of other cape). I like this way of them. U can see the old krill cape have same material with snoopky bat cape and they have to change it.
The transperent is opps. It can be iap pack or ultimate cape and no longer come back like a ts, or it will be expensive. So now u think it is nice but later, if it happend, we can't have a TS has a cape look like litter prince scarf, or it is too expensive to buy. U like beauty but what u will do when it is too expensive, or if u like it but it wont return as ultimate itiem ? I dont say u have to pay. But as the way tgc usually do, i dont want it is higher price because it is worth and be ts for people. And i can get it as fast as i can without complete season.

For a season pass exclusive content, I'm quite disappointed with how capes turned out. It feels as if selling point of those capes is not even an actual cape itself but shoulder decoration. Only the cape with a ring on the end of it seems actually interesting for me personally. The gradient-like effect on cape icons was giving me impression that cape itself would have some cool effect on it, but seems to be just plain color after all. With how things appear atm, I will be actually all out controversial and say I feel like Season of Shattering has more appealing season pass rewards.

I think transparency was probably intended given the Season Pass artwork and the icons having the colour gradient on them (no other capes have that other than the enchantment ones for some reason.)
If I had to guess they probably ran into some problems implementing the transparency? This is absolute speculation and could be wrong. I think there are a lot of time constraints on a season which make it difficult to deliver a complete fully fleshed-out season which I think is something Sky suffers with. A lot of the time the final quests are being tweaked while the season is currently active in the live version. Look at Shattering, we don't have any way to collect the wing buffs still. This is not a criticism against the devs at all, I think they do a great job with the limited time they have but I feel like a lot of ideas and things do fall a bit flat just due to the time constraints.

The reason the butterfly cape is the ultimate is because it's a special thing in the Aurora community If I'm correct and it's an iconic accessory that makes sense for it to be an ult like that. So the thing is, when you fail the quest, you get transported back to the quest starting point. If you immediately try to redo the quest, the game will always crash when you get to the scene where they rode the mantas. Returning home and going back to the quest should solve the crashing problem.

Im in LOVE with these capes… i’ve seen some comments about how the capes look too plain, but that was exactly the beauty of the original butterfly cape bug it was simplistic and sleek, once they all become translucent they are going to look amazing! I also love the feathered detailed shoulders.

Only qualm i have at the moment is the ultimate cape design, i really hope this isn’t the final iteration, i don’t like the fairy wing costume look

I think the design of the capes was intended to be opaque for THIS iteration of the update so we can clearly see the shape and design of the cape to provide better feedback, and if the team need to make any adjustments they can before making it translucent. If they were made translucent now it would make it harder for us to make out the shape of the capes to provide more adequate feedback… that’s just my take any way

Hey, i think you need to be a bit more clear on what your definition of “transparent” is.

There is a difference between transparency: an object that lets ALL light through making it completely see-through and translucency: an object that only lets SOME light through making it partially see through.

An example of transparency are prescription glasses which are completely clear that allow near and short sighted people to see better whilst an example of translucency is sunglasses that block out the harsh rays of the sun whilst still allowing you to partially look through them.

The reason i am saying this is because the feedback you provide may be unintentionally interpreted by the team as something you initially didn’t wish to convey, especially when we already have a transparent cape in game (the invisible cape).

I also do not want the capes to be transparent but i would like them to be translucent with the current colours they are. I hope this makes sense.

To really reiterate what Makeli brought up: All that Ash seemed to be saying was, essentially, the capes’ appearance isn’t bugged the way they were when they looked like block quilts.

#1 rule of beta: nothing in beta is final until it’s in the live version of the game. Random dev posts in chat can’t be taken as an indicator that something is set in concrete

If Aurora TS are done the same way as Little Prince TS, the pass-locked items will return with their spirits like other seasonal items.

I’m pretty stoked that (so far anyway) the masks aren’t pass-locked. They’re close to the no-face mask but way easier to get, and still unique for the season
