My first impression with the quests was a little confused, but I think I got a glitched quest, it didn't play the cutscenes. The second quest was very fun for me. I don't really like in the first quest I did, the server merged and the quest pretty much auto completed, I hope I'm able to still do stuff to contribute to the quests. 🥲

Having multi player quests is cool, but everyone is so fast, it goes by too fast for me 😆

yeah I'm weird bc I wanted to do the whole thing by myself. I even once waited at the meditation circles to enter the quest until no one was there. But then the server merged anyways and there were people again. I wish there was a setting to turn on that kept you in empty servers

The music and seasonal area is amazing, I love how this season adds some more lore and context for vault. I never really understood what all the lanterns were for until they finally started explaining them in recent events and now a whole season dedicated to it!

Like I entered the new area (the one after sitting in the 8-player meditation thingy), wanted to get some treasure candles while trying to understand what the first cutscene described, then something autocompleted because other people did it so I didn't get a chance to piece together what was supposed to happen, then I tried to go to the meditation spot to get out of there and I kept getting shoved out of that spot and idk why (might be one of said bugs?)

I'm not sure! In some ways, sky seems a weird mix of very simple technology and very advanced technology at the same time lol. Do the lanterns come from our inner lights? After watching Two Embers (kind of a spoiler if you didn't watch two embers) || the base floor of vault of knowledge seems to basically turn into a gigantic graveyard. It makes me wonder if the vault lanterns are largely memorial pieces, or little fragments of the spirit's inner lights after they died 🥲||

why do the memories stored in the lanterns show sentience separately from the spirit they show? the memories are shown thanking us, and the spirit they're a memory of is nowhere to be seen

Not to mention, as Sikachu said, why are the memories thanking us if the actual spirit isn't there? ||

I personally headcanon something similar, but a bit happier haha- Spirits can "haunt"/live in the world as long as their power lets them, but they always have to return to Orbit after a while to recuperate- Season Guides are more powerful and can prolong their stays!

Every few months I have a dream, its a slightly different layout of the wind paths, where when you enter its a straight wind tunnel, and it first becomes a 2 way, straight and to the right. The right has the main flight islands, aka where the spirits are and stuff

Heading straight leads to a 6 way split, each going to were lead normally

However a bit before the 6 way, and after the 2 way, there's a second hidden path that goes down to the left (note that all of this is completely covered in clouds so its hard to see) its leads to a special extremely well hidden area, like no one knew is was there kinda hidden

It is this absolutely beautiful area, similar lighting as isle of dawn, a beach that then goes into grass turning into these 2 sharp small mountain/hills. Its like a mix between isle of dawn and sanctuary islands, like take the main island of sanctuary but put the fluffy cloud wall behind it like the isle temple

The 2 mountains resemble the main island in the wind paths, having tight paths going up the sides with sorta cave homes in them (like the other wind island) all being furnished with beds and bookcases and stuff (you can even lay in the beds)

You shoot out of were the cloud wall is as the area is to your right, I remember my breath was taken away with how beautiful and peaceful it was, but it was also kinda lonely. There was no spirits or anything, just a few candles scattered about, and no other players (due to no one every discovering it)

TLDR: a dream of a area in the wind paths no one knew about that was absolutely breathtaking but lonely

one last bit of trivia: have you noticed that if you use an expression and then begin to walk, the expression animation abruptly stops?

it used to not do that. you could continue walking while the expression continued. that changed in january 2025, with the first patch for season of radiance. a small change that may have been unintentional, and was never in the patch notes.

I’m not sure what information you’re looking at, you may be confusing a few types of thing. There are items for in game currency (IGC). Then there are items on each level of the friendship tree that require a pass but don’t cost anything additional

Here's the thing: I like that sky has a built-in translator for chats. It's great for talking to people at 1 am-

what i don't like is that it copies the message to my clipboard every time. And so my clipboard is just full of random stuff in other languages.

I just.... kind of wish there was an auto-translate option.

But like.... have a little symbol next to the translated messages so that you know. Because sometimes the translator is wonky and doesn't work right.

The new spirit system is really cool because we can spend time with the spirits and we don't need to buy all nodes if we don't want to! So you could always try that out and see how you get on!

Basically you can invite spirits to walk around with you for 30 minutes each day and it will increase their friendship level and let you access higher in the tree to buy nodes in any order you wish

Had the cutest moment in sky just now. Saw some randos honking in aviary and I decided to load up my Aurora call and surprise em. They immediately reacted and lit me up and kept emoting while I did the call over and over (the star spell only last a few minutes so I decided to make it count ) one of the skids went to put on their journey mask to show me that call, and once my Aurora call went away I pulled out my voice of Aurora and sang them the seed they loved it so much makes me remember why I love this game so much. On the other news, the new season feels a lot more... Poetic, rather than the prior season. The way it shows those broken parts, that imperfection adorned new by a strike of light mending its wounds completely yet again

The season is collected, not a grand adventure. Idk why, but it resonated a lot more for me than migration for some reason; its vibes are silly but the execution of it is so cool and pretty

Coming back in blue bird, then getting to experience the incredible season two embers was, migration suffered a lot, but lightmending kinda brought it back a lil more

I think because migration was happening over so much of the map (and probably because they were taking a break between 2E and lightmending) there wasn’t as much room for it to be its own developed story. But I also love the vault aesthetics so I’m biased

Guys I'm so scared. I went to grandma's a couple minutes ago & met some very nice players. And one of them had a really cool outfit that I liked so I immediately went home and dyed one of my capes to replicate it thinking that I'd never see them again & so they wouldn't know I did that.

I forgot.... there was an update that made strangers stay lighted between realms.... I went back after dyeing my cape and ran into some people from the grandma event. (not the person who's outfit i imitated but still)
