Whats more notable is that the community is the perfect breeding ground for more hatred-- see CGP Grey's video-- that anger amplifies when it echoes, and that communities will tend to be closed off from the outside world. It's precisely where you get the phrase "echo-chamber" from!

||Personally, I see them as creatures (of light?) who've been sapped of their light because of the ancestors using creatures of light as a source of power for their contraptions, leaving the krills starving for light. And because of this, they're now hungry for any light they can get. This doesn't feel exactly waterthight to me, though, because the krills clearly are a different species to the creatures of light that we see in the current state of the realms. Were all the krills drained to darkness, leaving these dark krills to be the only representation of the species left? Or something else? Or is this interpretation just off, and they've always been predators for creatures of light? Unsure! But in any case, this is my take as of current ||

To add onto it, ||krills are canonically called dark dragons, right? (Can be seen e.g. in the Dark Dragon Repellant spell name.) What if there used to be dragons of light in the Kingdom of Sky, but perhaps they were so strong in their light that they were an attractive option for exploitation for their light? And now all that is left are the corrupted versions, the modern dark dragons. This is maybe reaching a tad bit more, because I don't think there's any sign of dragons like that in-game, but it's IMO a fascinating thought||
(also, unsure if I should or shouldn't be spoilering these things outside of #lore-discussion-spoilers, so I'll keep on doing so just in case ^^;)

Something that might support this thought a bit is that ||Treasure Reef seems to house machinery that I feel is suggested to have been involved in light extraction from various creatures of light, such as the mantas you free from the tube-shaped containers during the Abyss quests. In another Abyss quest, if I remember correctly, you open that one big door in the depths, and a few krills swim out? It could maybe be possible that if those dragons of light did exist, they were kept and exploited in that same place, eventually corrupting them? And there's also that huge krill even deeper down in the same area, but I feel it's a whole another plotpoint. But again, just some thoughts!||

It’s permanent so no need to rush, can’t be fast tracked via money like literally most other things can, and it requires completing a task that isn’t hand holdy

You have to buy the hair styles first though. And complete their constellations

Might really just be a skill issue from me, but has anyone else been finding it more annoying to press on things lately? I swear some patches ago I found it easier to press the burn button quickly on the go, but now it's like if there is more than one item to be burnt (like candle clusters) the button just keeps going all over the place even if I'm not moving

hmm sanctuary but that one island in the clouds with the waterfall. flight area also has nice little nooks to get into. oh the butterfly and candle cake spot in isle is also very nice to chill there

wind paths on one of the little islands <- wind chimes sounds
in the forest under a tree or tarp <- rain sounds
prairie peaks in the little cove above that huge waterfall <- waterfall sounds and river sounds and also a really pretty day/night cycle
sancuary islands right between the two peaks on the big island above the small waterfall <- there's a little stream running through it and the sounds of the mantas are also super calming
i also love chilling in my nest with the ocean waves shell from days of nature
