I got that torch yesterday with cutie. It looks like a free version for that one movable lamp...

It doesn´t work when you lose your light and sometimes the light of the torch turns off, maybe cause sometimes it touches water. However, it can be useful because you don´t have to click on the candle emote every time you find a recharge statue, it lights it up inmediatly (unless it doesn´t have light, of course 🥲 )

Maybe I wouldn´t recomend it to the eye of Eden but is good to the part before the storm when you have to light up those "light points"

Either ways i would recommend continuing and getting more into the game. It’s fun being a returner after all the cool things they got. So basically each two months they make a season which has its own story and its own cosmetics, the elder of the season would be at home to help you telporting into the season area and see the seasonal cosmetics, some of them you can buy without seasonal pass and some you can’t, they have seasonal quests that is updated every two weeks. We currently have only two quests so far

You have to press the button of the statue in the middle to reveal the quests that will help you to get seasonal candles. The quests would be each day on a different map and different quests that takes 5-20 mins

honestly i agree that not every season / its story can allow to have more quests, but i REALLY wanna seasons to start having more than 5 quests.. like, back in revival we had around 8 i guess? and having quests every week is really good even though revival quests were pretty much 2 clicks for me. but what i love in duets and other recent seasons is that the quests have gone really long. for example, in the second duets quest we had to ||clean everything up that took some time, then help the duets guide, and clean up again later playing the melody again!|| that was so fun, i wish all the quests were so long because its really worth the wait.

It actually just occurred to me - we've kind of been wondering about what's going on with the Moomin season, but seriously, what are they going to do??? Because the thing is, TLP and NCD are small, self-contained stories. And with Aurora, songs are much easier taken into isolation.

Whereas with this, at the bare minimum, TGC have eight regular books, I think some picture books, a comic, and the adaptations on top of that to work with. How are they going to fit this into the one season.

Ah, okay. Then you’ve probably just been around Aviary, then, I’d expect. And I think Duets Guide might move when you visit the concert hall.

If you want to teleport in again, once you load in, kind of walk around the left side until you find a circle of light you can sit in. If you do that, it’ll take you to Homespace. And I think the guide stands kind of in between the portals.

Interact with them to open up their tree, and the bottom option should be your teleport option.

Which realm haven’t you found any spirits in yet? We can maybe point you in the right direction.

oh, then surely it was the constellation menu. to visit the temple you need to get all the way to the end of the realm! (if you didnt get there after spirits were waiting for you to kind of ascend them)

after reliving a certain spirit, you gonna have to ascend it through the realm temple and then you will be able to get the interaction menu even at your homespace

You should have ideally gotten ascended candles from going through Eden. If you want to use them to unlock spirit trees, that’ll give you access to higher tiers and more unlocks, as well as giving you an extra WL in your next life!

So if you unlock two spirits up there, instead of starting with just one, you’ll have three starting out.

(If you didn’t, that’s okay, too!)

you get more clothes when you give candles to the ancestor spirits, during seasons to the spirits there, or during events! but the capes cost hearts which you can get from other spirits (especially the season spirit guides) or by befriending people where they can give you a full heart or light your candle and give you a small bit to go towards a heart

A variety of places! Your easiest method is probably through the base-game spirits - you can trade any hearts you acquire for them at the constellation pad at home.

You also have Seasons, and Days Of events. They’re short-term, but they tend to be a lot easier, as you can get items easily enough through seasonal candles and tickets respectively.

Every second week, there’s also a Travelling Spirit (a past seasonal spirit) who arrives at home and trades their items for candles. They’re also time limited, lasting four days.

So basically the traveling spirits give you wing buffs. Those become wing lights you can only take after you finish eden. In short, every time you finish eden you get more and more wing lights. So you can get stronger every time

Personally I look at it like you're picking up WL to put into the Eden laundry machine to get washed again cuz why else do I bring them back up there every week

Honestly, I wouldn’t stress about it too much immediately. You have shards, so you can acquire AC through other means!

But when you feel ready, I’d recommend you look up some guides to Eden. Collect as many WLs as you can find, wait until after next Sunday at least so it resets, and just go for it.
All else fails… stick yourself to whoever you can find. Eden is easier in numbers. You find a lot of roaming groups going up Eden, so even if it’s a group of other moths, that’s still a good number of people who can help keep you alive for long enough to get what you need. Older are ideal because they can even show you where to go, but many take shortcuts instead of taking the ground route, so that might not be so easy.

You can honestly avoid Eden and only hit up the red shards, that's still a great way to get AC

Yeah. I actually go for fairly long periods of time without Eden trips nowadays. I have something like 95 WLs when reviving, and a backstock of 120-odd ACs. It’s not quite so necessary.

Honestly, yeah, that’s some sheer bad luck. It doesn’t happen every time, at least not in my experience. There are just times every so often when Eden likes to just not work properly.

I’ve had twice in two years where I got stuck in what I like to call ‘Purgatory’, when the void phase doesn’t load in right until you have to choose the option to move on.

ngl it all depends, but ac usually help with moving on with each spirit. if you go into where you can gift them candles and get something in return, where the cloud stuff is usually means you give them ac, but when you complete a constellation and want to get smth from the elder spirits, it varies

It depends. Some are as cheap as 1AC, while others I think can be around 3. Treat 2 as your average - travelling spirits will always cost 2AC.

Some items cost AC, though. And it can be a lot of AC. But they’re also fairly reliable.

I'm attached to Enchantment Guide. He was the first Spirit I encountered after Steward, and I loved his unique Middle Eastern inspiration. I remember being near him when the game prompted me to leave a boat note. My first ever Sky boat message was "Let no one diminish your ability to bring light to other people's lives."

That was on my absolute first ever play session on the morning of April 12 . So... I'm attached to Enchantment Guide.

i think thats EXTREMELY important to remember. like, iirc they spend a while working on stuff, especially when its going to be multiple platforms. usually some updates come quicker because its only on one platform, but stuff like sky (and stardew, and many other games) have to make sure that its usable for all platforms. sure, stuff is broken too, but theres only so many times some places allow for updates and patches

And adding an entire new input device feature for one of five platforms seems like it'd be cool on paper but in practice that development effort is better spent elsewhere, so you're better off finding ways to do it yourself if you want it

In summary, an old, limited time exclusive skin from 2019 came back to the item shop on accident for an hour today, and ofc many people (myself included) bought it because worst case scenario it would just get refunded exclusivity is also really dumb in the first place tbh. Then once it was removed from the shop, Epic Games put out a statement in regards to it, saying that they’d refund the skin for anyone who bought it today, but THEN they went back on that statement a while later and said instead they’ll let players keep the skin but have their vbucks refunded, and people who bought the skin back in 2019 would get an exclusive OG style soon.
I’m surprised honestly, but glad at how it turned out
