There is a jump technique where you can "nudge" the left controller forward and your character will automatically "smart jump" onto whatever is in front of them. You can make most of the jumps for this spirit with that technique. There is also one part where the easiest way to get to the next memory is to just fly straight up to it.

It can be a frustrating spirit, but mostly when people who don't know how to do it mess it up for everyone. It's still not nearly as frustrating as the Pleading Parent spirit

My theory is that some teams just have slightly more people in them and the way the scoring works kinda amplifies that advantage. If Forest has even 5% more people who only get silver, Wasteland would need to mobilize an extra 10% of their team every day to get gold, just to offset that advantage. I don't know why they designed it this way, but this tournament is basically about how many active players a team has more than anything else

NetEase (a different company from TGC) operates a separate version of the game specifically for China (which is pretty standard for online games in China). It's basically still Sky but some of the events and promotions are different, and there might be some other differences to account for whatever Chinese government might prefer to see or not see in that version of the game

First couple days Wasteland took some bronze but once they picked up the pace it's been static. Really the interesting part is that Prairie seems to always win the race games and Valley seems to always win the collect games. This can't really be explained by one team being larger than the other. But aside from that, yea, it seems like Forest just has a few percent more people than Wasteland, who has a few percent more than the rest

Players are sabotaging the game. There were five other players and I in the race, when I was almost at the end, the three players from the forest left the race and I won silver. This was my fastest run. In the other races I won gold with an average of 1 minute and 6 seconds.

I have a slightly different theory, because I'm pretty sure they sorted folks based on what team needed people in the moment: A massive majority wanted to be Team Forest. I think when players were sorted into a team they didn't want, folks kinda slipped into "bare minimum for the medals" mode because they lost their enthusiasm. Of the minigames I've participated in, it's usually Valley/Wasteland players who fail the challenge early just to get it done while I (Valley) actually compete against the Forest players. The Wingsuit challenge is especially bad for that.
(Not commenting more though, since this isn't a discussion channel lol. I just wanted to chip in.)
