I struggle sometimes with expressing myself how i want to, so Cozy's slower pace lets me think my messages through before i send them. You can always come take a break and chat here if you get overwhelmed! It happens to me often, so i usually don't chat there unless there's not much activity.

it's also harder to keep track of conversation in gen because it goes at miles a minute with multiple people talking at the same time, so having a closer relationship with individuals is more difficult and can be interpreted as being 'rude' when it's not

but that's just guessing and assuming what the other person interpreted the situation as

either way tl;dr tone is hard to read in text, esp when the other party doesn't try to make themselves understood as clearly so it causes these issues

Because by that point you've exhausted all easy wax sources like grandma, races, cakes, ect...

I remember seeing someone say they headcanoned that skids were made of clay, essentially making them living sculptures, which is why they're (usually) susceptible to rain and staying under water
Idk though, I like that idea, I imagine they've got a pretty large height range, between 4'0 to 6'0+ on average

Not sure. My personal headcanon is that the eldest skykids are about the equivalent of older teenagers, but I don’t know if that’s how much time has passed, or that’s how old they get physically.

baby/chibi sky kids look around 3-4 years old to me (capable of walking/run well and causing chaos but still smol). Adult/max height sky kids look around 20 (grown up to their max height but not fully done baking yet - since 25ish is when the body stops actively growing).

I imagine skykids are ageless beings of light that don’t really “age” as we do, they may take on a physical appearance which seems older, but nothing stops them from looking young while actually being fifty years old I think our avatars are meant to appear like children, coming into adolescence

I believe that skykids are vessels, not really “beings.” They are vessels to carry light to the world, and that light is what gives things life. Gives them life, creatures life, spirits life. Dark creatures run off of darkness instead of light, but it’s less powerful and can only do so much to sustain them. All speculation

If we’re talking skykid lifespans, though: my current theory is that they descend from the stars in young bodies, able to sustain themselves. They grow and change over time, but never really grow old, instead staying at a particular age for some time. And then they burn out, return to the stars, and are reforged into another skykid - at least, how the process would go naturally for any who never climbed Eden.

Eden Elder is a very vague idea in the game- I believe they’re more commonly called “The King” or “The Prince” who I recall was the very first child of light, who in the prophecies (from SoProphecy) was foretold to be the only one who could complete the trials and ascend to the same level as the elders.

However due to the harmful practices of the ancestors and elders, the king included, things go kabooey and he was corrupted, Eden now deadly

It does make sense. And I do think it does line up with Sky lore a bit. If we assume Megabird to be a deity in Sky rather than a constellation, it’s possible that skykids are made by their own talon to succeed the world left by the ancestors.

They are a being made of pure starlight, after all, and skykids do seem to come from the stars.

Yep- which I believe is a representation of the room we fall into at the end of Eden before we ascend, and the child we see there and hug (just like the wl is posed in the final Shattering memory) may very well be the Eden elder in their purest form- a fallen child of light. I’m connecting the dots and in that scene we may actually be a representation of the Hopeful Steward in some way, kind of like we’re giving the two a final chance to reconnect and save each other

I think TGC hinted on The Two Embers before Aviary, iirc. We actually never got to see the Eden Elder (the King) in their true form. That one Shattering Memory Space also has a BIG sword (possibly belonged to the Eden king) on top of the biggest red shard where we see the special skid hug-shaped WL. I want to believe that we coudl possible get to see the entire Origin Lore of Sky, including the Eden Elder. Maybe 2 Embers means us (the players or an MC skid in the story) and the Eden Elder, who's lost in a chasm after the Shattering. Maybe the MC Skid saves them somehow, restoring eternal peace to the Sky Kingdom

the true form of eden king couldn't be shone because it symbolizes, us, the skykids... it's a perpetual loop. Eden king was the one who completed all trials (water, earth, air, fire), which is us. imo

I remember way back when, during Shattering, because of that one WL on the Shattering crystal of the two skykids hugging, I had a theory that we were an aspect of the Eden King. That part of them were imprisoned in the void, and part of them became us, here to right the wrongs of our previous incarnation.

Don't know how much stock I put in it now. But it is still fun to consider.
