I made my dad download Sky in his iPad and we played together for like 1 hour, it was so fun <3 At the beginning he struggled a bit with the controls because he was holding the iPad with one hand and moving the character with his other hand but it was so fun having a wholesome moment with him. It's one you haven't done - it's the last quest in the line - but it's nothing too bad! It's very chill, you just need to fly through some hoops, and you can turn off the rain in Boneyard.

You're not supposed to just run blindly for the next memory piece in that Spirit. You need to take advantage of all those round things sticking out everywhere for shelter to let the memory 'heal' and then book it for the next piece of shelter as fast as you can. I'd suggest looking around the area first to see where each shelter is so you can plan your route.

Also speaking of the Assembly Quests, when I was a wee moth entering Forest for the first time, I ran across a bunch of Sky Kids picking up something, so I followed them to help. Turns out that was the 4-person Assembly Quest. And because I helped and thus counted as me finishing that quest, it just kinda broke the Assembly questline when I started doing them. The game remembered me doing it and let me skip the quest when I got to that part of the questline but I just straight up cannot see the 4-person quest-triggering circles in the location they're supposed to be and have not been able to help people do it. Like, ever. I broke the game and didn't even do it on purpose.

I accidentally did with the hoops, too - but not to that level. I can still play that quest fine. Pretty impressive! In an unfortunate way.

I also had the same case happen with the hoop quest that we get as a daily sometimes (like in today's case) but it didn't bug out and I am still able to see the circle to trigger said quest. Why? I have no idea!

I think the strange bugs add a lot of charm. Like yesterday at one of the anniversary performances where you become tiny if you go on the stage and go around copying the dev's emotes, if you're doing one of the stationary emotes and then start following after them, your Sky Kid can end up putting their arms in a silly pose or even moving while still in the emote, which is absolutely hilarious.

Also how far away from the place you put the memory are you? It may be a distance thing, if you're too far they don't appear until you're closer but if you're right where you left it then it could be a bug - I'd recommend restarting or refreshing the area to see if that helps

I once had an experience with a Krill that ended up endearing me to those silly shrimps. I was going through Wasteland but the first Krill didn't show up. Then I stopped to recharge and suddenly it appeared out of that little broken building with the lantern from beneath me. I got so startled and got scared it was going to attack me, but it just gently booped me into the air with it's snoot and went on it's merry way.

i have a question for candle runners, how do you figure out your routes? Do you follow YouTube tutorials or maps?

I don't do full cr but like in Hidden Forest, I just memorized the wax locations, so I follow my own route inefficiently lol

I am the same. I run my run-through the areas I normally traverse. Then stop by grandmas for shenanigans

Honestly, experience. I realised after a while that ~15 candles per day is enough to keep me on par. My route is typically the two daily realms, with Wind Paths and shard if it's available. If I still have a bit of one chevron left, I'll move on to Geyser/Granny/Sunset, but just leave it if I've already cleared them or if I have only a candle cake or two to go before they're gone. In that case, I'll take a quick run to Isle or Vault instead.

The most important thing is, though, to not go through every realm. That's a one-way ticket to utter burnout. It can be tempting to gray out, but I'd rather take a few fewer candles and still have fuel left in the tank for the next day.

Ah, okay, then. I'm not too familiar with it myself, but I can try to at least give you an idea of the route I'd personally take...

I think if I was running Vault, I would make Starlight Desert my start point - which means entering through the Wind Paths rather than Vault itself instead. Fly through Wind Paths, get the two candle clusters there, and move into Starlight Desert from there - the candle cake is conveniently right in front of the entrance.

Exiting the Wind Paths drops you off right by Beck's tower, which saves you from doubling back across the desert. So I'd circle around to Sneeze's book pile, grab the candles there, and steadily work your way back, Zig-zagging as you go, I think if I was routing it, I'd probably go Sneeze -> Beck -> Candle Cake in the rose garden -> Star Collector -> Lamplighter -> Slouch -> Gloat. Then once you've visited Gloat, drop down to the entrance/exit, return to Vault from there, and continue on your CR as usual.

I'm not sure how efficient this route is, or if entering through the Wind Paths even saves any time, but I believe I remember where all of Starlight Desert's candles are, so I'd do that. Usually I just go to Beck's tower, the rose garden, and leave for the Wind Paths again.

I can try running it after sunset, if you'd like.

This is interesting! I’ll give it a try! I also have a cr method to share.

I have a suggestion if anyone wants to CR treasure cakes 🍰 ~ enter vault, starlight desert grab cake (1 )then go home. Then enter windpaths, grab the cake (2 )inside the main windpath mountain, then enter isle prophecycave through wind path, grab cake there (3), re enter wind path, go to prairie sanctuary grab all cakes (4,5,6) there. Re enter wind path (with manta boost from sanctuary to gain height and enter it / or go home and re enter from forest) , then go to hermit valley thru wind paths , grab cake (7), through there slide down to village of dreams, grab cakes (8,9), and from there take the boat to valley temple and grab the large bundle of candles there (big boi cake (10) . Go home. Enter isle and grab cake (11) on the far left, and then go to far right where wing light is in a smol cave, above this cave there are butterflies that’ll boost you to gain height and reach the second cake (12) on top of isle mountain on the right .

After this if you still have enough energy, re enter forest, enter treehouse to take a short cut to forest brooks and grab the cake in the tunnel.

Then enter valley, slide down to ice rink and grab the cakes there if you can still continue 🤌🏽✨

Of course with all this ramblings I’m aware there’s individual choice and preference when it comes to CR 💝

I like cr with cakes and if anyone has an even better shortcut method, please share!

I almost never do the desert, just because of how far things are apart. I usually do grandma and geyser, valley, forest, wasteland (no oyster hunting) and daylight prairie (with 8 person butterfly door).

id also like to share, i only ever go until i lose chevrons (and maybe grandma afterwards)

1. at :00 - :05 at geyser times, prairie lobby, main area, sanc island
2. :05-:15 geyser
3. :15-:30 dailies, then forest lobby up to brook, then grandma (if running out of time, use treehouse shortcut)

That's the main route. That'll usually get up to 2 chevrons, almost 1. If I have time

1. finish forest
2. 2 valley races (alternate the first slide route), with valley temple + maze
3. finish the rest of prairie

At this point I've definitely run out of chevrons

I’m sorry! It’s never easy with the ts taking our candols do some consecutive cr with granny and cakes. I normally do that and get around 11 to 12 candols a day. I could do more but I’m too busy hehe

Okay, I've taken care of that run! Things I can confirm:

-Shush has two small candle clusters. You might need to ride the clouds on the way up to recharge.
-Beck has three small candle clusters, seems like all on the right side of the tower as you approach from Shush, easily grabbed before you go to the rose garden. If needed, there's also a WL below the tower.
-Star Collector has two candle clusters on their boat, one on each half. There's also one on the pier. Hug the clouds on the way out for a recharge if needed. (I did.)
-Lamplighter has three candle clusters, all on the central platform. Run around it and collect them. It's easy to scale the clouds from Star Collector, so do that. There's a WL on top of the lamp, too.
-I'm going to reroute a tad - go to Gloat next; there's a tunnel directly there in the clouds. They've got three candle clusters around their arena.
-Cut across the clouds to Slouch's jar next. Go to the WL on top if anyone needs, and enter. There are three clusters in there. You can fly out through the crack in the wall near the last - saves some doubling back in the jar. Loop back to the exit once you're out.

All in all, with some searching to check I didn't miss anything and note-taking, Wind Paths to Vault took me about 15 minutes. You could probably optimise a little better than me, though - I ran out of steam and had to run a few times.

One thing that does concern me is if your passengers will get disconnected in the transition to Desert, but I'll test that next.

As a parent, i would say absolutely do not use your dads credit card. We parents will find out. And we will know.

However as mentioned, there's usually quite a few people as I see doing giveaways for passes.

There's also asking dad for extra jobs for cash, dog watching while people go on dates is a good side job. If you have an Xbox and ever made a purchase. Check your reward points. They have stuff ya can redeem, and I don't remember but I thought they had a PayPal one there for a bit.
