I knew about Sky since 2019 because of artists I followed on twitter, but atp it was still iOS only so I couldn’t play. I tried to get in android beta testing in 2020, got in one of the invite waves but my phone wasn’t compatible </3 I didn’t forget about it, I finally had my chance to join at switch launch. I knew of Sky, I had online friends who played it at one point, but I thought it was PC-only (not realising it was actually mobile - it looked too pretty) and assumed that yeah, no, I couldn't join them. And I didn't really realise that it was on Switch until I went looking on the eShop one day - I have friends who also play Pokemon Unite, and I was half-considering joining them. Then I saw Sky, remembered I wanted to play it, and decided to download it and give it a shot. After all, it was free, why not?

I started playing by recommendation of a friend!
