At least 1.5gb RAM
OpenGLES 3.1 Extension Pack
Vulkan Version 1.0.3 or higher
Vulkan Level 0 or higher
up to 3gb storage to download and install all levels

If you're unsure which version of opengl or vulkan your device supports, there are apps in the play store that can tell you.

Make sure the operating system is 64-bit. Sky WILL NOT run on a 32-bit operating system.

Sorry for late ping, adding to what dreamfyre said it's very important that the device has good GPU. Adreno 540 or stronger is highly recommended because regardless all the specs met, Sky won't run if the GPU is not strong enough (not CPU).

It seems to be a platform issue. D-pad works just fine on iOS and Switch. Best to fill out a bug report and provide a video showing your phone recognizing the d-pad input from your controller. (There are quite a few "controller test" apps on the play store to choose from)

Forcing msaa in developer options only works for OpenGL ES 2.0. Sky uses Vulkan for main graphics and OpenGL ES 3.1 for the in game menus. Simple answer: it will have no effect.

Unfortunately that's just the way they have it. If you want Krispy Kreme graphics. you'll have to play on the switch which actually doesn't get that great a frame rate. Your SOC is plenty powerful enough. We just have to wait until TGC thinks it's good enough to open native resolution to mobile devices again.

it usually happens when there's an issue with the internet connection . Verify that your network is sustainable enough, try switching between networks (wifi to data or vice versa), then restart again the device and try again later.

Then it seems the issue is bigger on your phone as expected. Try to uninstall all recently installed other apps and try to rollback any Android phone update. Sky didn't receive updates for weeks

First clip is Android and second is Switch. Android has higher AA artifacting than Switch as shown in the comparison clips. I also like that the butterflies on Switch are enlarged when far away to spot them easier than on Android. (also take a look at butterfly fields when flying in. Android is blurry as all hell while Switch is nice, pretty and crisp.)

Restoring purchases aren't for moving it to another account. It's intended purpose is to restore a purchase that didn't properly apply to the original account. Being able to move purchases to another account was a bug. It seems that bug was finally fixed in the back end. It is now working as Intended.

It's a very long time (1+ year old) bug on Androids TGC didn't fix.
The issue might be that the environmental (birds and sea) sounds cancel the intro sound

Your theory works, also though. Start sound could be a bank from one package whilst the birds and music are from another and the switch between banks makes it get cut off sometimes most of the time.

I often get stuck at the tgc logo screen when I enter the game, even when I delete the cache. Maybe it's a problem with my phone, but other games don't have this problem

Yes, often device restart helps (or removing all notifications from phone's notification tray). Unlike other games Sky - having a unique graphics engine - highly depends on proper Vulkan renderer which is often improperly updated or abandoned by phone manufacturers.

There have been issues before using G Play Balance. I would make sure the region set in your play store is correct. Play Store, Settings, General, Account and device preferences. Make sure it shows your region as US and ensure you're trying to make the payment on a US IP address.

No issues here. I would suggest trying a different connection from a different ISP. It could be a break in your ISP's backbone to the AWS server Sky uses.

Sky automatically locks you out if it'll be a detriment to / overheat a device.

consider it a blessing as overloading your phones hardware/battery will reduce its lifespan

The game does a basic Android API call that checks your device's build.prop file. This file is read only. I'm sure someone dedicated enough can find a way to change what that file reports to other apps. (It can be done, but can't talk about it here. Best use Google and know the only way to do it involves voiding your device's warranty)

Usually stability. Each SoC has 4 speed bins due to silicon anomalies. Each bin has different frequency "limits" so to speak. In reality, the kernel should prevent any overload on a silicon level for the device. (I.E. hardware wear or stress shouldn't happen unless you use a custom kernel that makes changes to the speed bins and/or voltages.)

It's an interesting rabbit hole to research and highly recommend it for anyone who wants to know more about their device. (Edit: speed binning is done at the silicon manufacturing level, not device manufacturer. I.E. if Samsung sold a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, Qualcomm would set those bins, not Samsung, usually in a base kernel for the device manufacturer to follow. Qualcomm's is called CAF, Code Aurora Forum.)

See I'll say to stay away from Samsung A series phones if you want to play anything close to Heavy games. There are some A series phones which are fairly good(Had to say this or Dreamfyre will get triggered) but most of the cheaper A series phones are either 32bit or very weak 64bit. If you want to game on a budget, Chinese phones are the way to go. If you have money then get Samsung/iPhones as they are just more convenient to use (except you have to charge some iPhones 3 times a day )

It's not Sky fault. You chose a very demanding game for a below mid-range phone. A12 is a great device by many aspects btw but not on playing graphics demanding games like Sky.
Samsung also tends to overlook proper vulkan Android updates which also adds to the sloppy experience because Sky - unlike other games - heavily depends on proper vulkan drivers

So, just upgraded my phone and noticed that the max fps option for running the game in high res was 30 fps. I have a 120hz display at 2400x1440 powered by a snapdragon 888. In theory I should have no issues playing the game at that frame rate and resolution, yet it is not an option. Is there a way to configure more granular graphics settings?

A 120hz display is far from rendering Sky at 120fps (which would fry or crash your phone for sure, people usually have no idea how demanding Sky is )
Please note albeit CPU and GPU are bond together many times, cpu doesn't matter that much for Sky. Sky is GPU hungry. Also Sky always upscales image to your device resolution because of android fragmentation.
You may be able to have 60fps tho with those specifics, it's a butter smooth (also battery adios) experience on stronger phones - if it doesn't crash on your phone because of android Vulkan driver or other conflicts and this is why it's disabled. Give it a shot and report as a bug that you don't have 60fps!

Switching accounts amongst family members is ok and said to be supported but very buggy and having multiple accounts on one device resulted account merge or lost several times. It's highly not recommended to use multiple accounts because both of them can be easily banned.

The best way to change accounts is use the built in "multiple users" feature of Android. It separates each account using different data partitions. You have a less chance of any parts of the accounts crossing data.

As stated before, this should only be used if it is a shared device. Having alt accounts to gain an unfair advantage is against the TOS. (Unfair advantage meaning getting hearts from an alt or daily light from them among other things that can give you an advantage having an alternative account.)

The progress is saved either on your device (local data option, not available if you have ever cleared data or reinstalled the game) or on TGC's servers. Google Play Games is just a link method. There is a secure and private hand-off between your chosen link method and TGC's servers. Example: Google sends a special hash value assigned to your GPG account to TGC for them to send your account data for your play session. (This is also seen by you logging in as a moth while your account data gets temporarily downloaded if your network connection is weak.)

Sky is originally written to iOS, the rest are only ports. 60fps drains battery fast, Sky is a very demanding game in terms of GPU (CPU and RAM are fairly less important)

Max graphic settings look differently on different devices. Example: I use 60fps occasionally on my Android and one battery bar setting (30fps normal mode) almost all time on my iOS device because it's already very smooth and looks perfect. On some phones 30fps normal mode is lagging because of hardware differences.

Screen recorder. It seems to be a pause in load activity as keeping your device near full tilt stops the random freezes.

The in-game AI filter helps to make Sky a safe place but tends to result in false positives. Reword your message or cut the sentence into more parts. Some combination of words can mean something inappropriate.
If even one word is filtered, you may have triggered the AI too many times, wait a little.
If you still encounter the issue, you can leave #live-feedback to let TGC know this time the filter is too sensitive

Sky uses around 500-900Mb of RAM. If your device's Low Memory K(word that will delete my message) or LMK for short feels you're running out of RAM and Sky is in the background, it will be the first app to get closed.

Unfortunately, gmails are locked to the account they first link with. There isn't a way to shuffle gmails. It's a security reason on Google's end.

No you can't do it and even support can't do it because of security reasons. If you linked Gmail to your new account, that's bound to it for good. Fortunately you can make another Gmail which you can connect to your 9ld account.

If that was your only link method, there wouldn't be another way to access it. You can try contacting support either on Google's end to get access to it or TGC support to see if they have a way to accessing it and attaching a different link method like FB or a Nintendo account. (don't need a Switch to create one, they're free.)

If I read the message correctly, they used a deleted gmail on the old account. which means linking any new gmail is out of the question for the old account. TGC can't unlink gmails, even deleted ones.

Google might be able to restore it, I never went that avenue to know for sure.

Due to how Google Play Games cloud save service works, no. That Sky ID is permanently bound to the other email. I don't know Google's account restoration policy, but that might be an option if you want to keep using gmail as a login method. You can try contacting support to see if you can use a different link method for that account.

The headphones appear on your character when you play music or audio in another app while playing Sky (as long as you're not wearing another hair accessory). You can use them any time by putting on some tunes! 🎧 (iOS only, due to limitations in Android hardware)

if you mean the controller, I haven't heard of anyone using it. android controller support is more linked with your own device's compatibility from what I gather. ps4 and xbox one controllers are generally supported on android 9+, but you will have to do research on the razer kishi for your own device first as a starting baseline. even if it works, the button mapping may not be very user friendly. would recommend trying out controllers you already own first

60fps on sky is different from 60fps on genshin and so on. theres a variety of factors that go into the game determining if your device can handle60fps or not and ufortunately if its not available in the game under graohics settings then theres nothing the individual can do about it. sky is much more intense for phones to process than most games so the 60fps threshold is much higher minimum specs needed.

The Helio G88 is not capable of 60 fps. the adreno 618 can barely keep 30 fps consistently, and the Mediatek G52 MP2 inside the G88 is less powerful than it. (Adreno 650 in there for comparison of a 60 FPS capable GPU)

Looking at the benchmarks, I'm actually surprised the game isn't just a slide show on your phone...

Yess.... as a person who runs on a G52-MC2, it's not a slideshow(MTK dimensity 700/4gb ram) it runs at around 25-28 fps at default 30fps (the setting I use to conserve power) btw it does throttle a lot, could be Realme messing up optimization or its just hardware degradation

More than likely thermal throttling. for the G52 MC2 to get those numbers you claim, it has to be boosting for longer than it should.

The game asking too much of the GPU, yes. the G52 MC2 is pretty much the bare minimum for smooth gameplay. It would be like me complaining my old GTX980 not being able to run Cyberpunk at more than 40 FPS and wondering why it's fans kick in overdrive when playing.

I see videos of people playing Sky on iPhones and iPads and the game sounds so much richer and better

1. it has always been bugged, use android 11 or 12 built in recorder for best quality, or any third party recorder which can record internal audio
2. stronger GPU, which means better device recording means the phone has to do 2 demanding tasks at the same time (tip: it has little chance but maybe helps: set Sky to battery saver mode and remove all hungry background apps like Facebook or voice chat, disable apps over apps feature too (like messenger bubbles)

Maximum settings are not depending on optimizing but on phone hardware. 30fps is not even the same on 2 different phones because of how they can handle Sky. Sky's engine is written by scratch and it highly depends on GPU and less depends on ram or CPU like regular games. This awarded and praised engine very unlikely gets rewritten from its core. Sky Android is just a port. The best graphics experience is always on Nintendo switch . The best graphics experience with best smoothness is on iOS. Sky is originally written to iOS.

Dark mode doesn't affect games usually. Sky has its internal chat function independent from system settings. You can ask for dark mode in Sky for text (and to change the many white flashes during area transitions, etc) in #wishlist-and-ideas-archived

The best option would be to utilize your built in "multiple user" feature in Android. It creates a separated space for each user account on your device. Settings - System - Multiple Users (or whatever your device OEM changed it's name to)

Using the Google Play Game account switching method has caused account data corruption in the past and is advised against using. The best option is checking what your device manufacturer changed the multiple user interface to as it's the only method to guarantee not crossing account data, especially since it's ill advised to have multiple accounts for personal purposes. The ability to access multiple accounts are only for shared devices, I.E. a little sibling or child using your device since they don't have their own to access their own account.

talking about network problems, sometimes it's back again from ISP (Internet Service Providers) and their DNS (Domain Name System)

if you phone already got Android 9 (Pie) or above, you can find in settings - DNS Private and then choose the hostname column

there are some dns private that can "stabilize" the internet :

nb : choose one only then okay from DNS Private

Since you also an oppo user I suppose, the changing user is on the notification with a green user icon. Tap it, and tap the "+" button and it will create an account and isolated from you Main.

But you might also need to reinstall Sky on that account

That's odd only Adreno 610 is exhibiting the issue. My SD670/Adreno615 didn't crash in the troublesome transitions, even while screen recording. It might be driver related for that model SoC since the 665 and 670 are pretty much the same in benchmarks. (Less than a 2% gap in most situations)

Of course the rendered video will stay 60fps because from the 2 processes Sky is the app which is more intensive and Sky will bring your device to its knees regardless it's a bug or other reason. We are all players here trying to figure out what happens. So before saying no and reaction with unnecessary emojis, please appreciate the community information and take time to read and understand the message was sent to you earlier. As already mentioned, the new reflections in game can cause hiccups for many phones too. But android is only a port, Sky was originally written to iOS so Sky android more likely has bugs. If your screen recorder worked before, the best you can do is report it as a bug. There are more than 10000 android device variations, so if you let the devs know, you give a chance to them to try to optimize the game for your device.

Android had many bugs regarding screenshots or screen recording in Sky history, it's hard to optimize a self made graphics engine for so many phone types from scatch

Hi! Both are very decent devices and ideal for playing Sky at max graphics (60fps compatible). I recommend to take both in hands, check their UI which you like better before buying.

Pixel pros: bare android (and they perform with Sky better than other devices with similar hardware) and their Google camera (there are countless Gcam ports to other devices for a reason) and battery life can beat even flagship iPhones in some aspects.

Samsung has top of the line camera too and some great advantages but in general Samsungs (not especially the 21FE) reportedly had more issues with Sky regarding graphics hiccups: Samsung more likely tends to overlook implementing proper graphics drivers in their Android updates and Sky heavily depends on them.

Because of the bare and more likely issue-free android and as a Pixel enthusiast I recommend Pixels!

If you crash at sanctuary try to approach it through wind paths and try not to look on big water surfaces. If it helps please be kind to let me know! Because my android phone is not crashing

So when i first downloaded sky I made an account using one of my Google accounts
Later I deleted the app
Now that I downloaded it again it won't let me log in with the same Google account
Saying there's no sky account with that
I didn't delete my sky account and my friends still have me on their constellation
Any idea why?
I don't remember if I linked my sky account with Facebook but I definently used my Google account to play the game

Although you linked the account to ur google, the default sign-in sometimes decides to be local acc sign-in (100% frustating at times like this) and hence may stop saving progress on its own. The best you can do is contact in-game support and hope for the best.

I've spent 8 hrs troubleshooting and trying to get my Android devices to find the game on the Play Store and 2 hrs on live chat with Google support yesterday only to have them send it to their back end team. Not overly hopeful they'll get a fix for this issue 😦

Both of my Samsung devices, one a smartphone A10 the other a Samsung Tab. Both are noted to be compatible with Sky when I researched.

Tablet is Samsung Tab SM-T510. Phone is Samsung Galaxy A10e, model SM-A102W

Is it odd that I just cannot place pipes in shared shapes? Any other prop is fine

Is it greyed out? If so, you just need to remove some props to give space for the pipe. Shared spaces have limits, and each prop will fill the bar at the top, and how much it will fill will depend on the prop. Smaller props I think 'weight' less, bigger props will weight more and require you to have less of other props

Toast is right, BUT I had that problem too, even after working with the weight limit correctly. And it was a problem before the weight limit as well, the pipe simply not showing up in shared spaces.

So it's a bug, most likely.
