Hello! I found out sky is on android too about a month ago and tried to get it, but it doesn't let me download it... I have a samsung galaxy that came out this year and android 11 and don't know what's the problem. someone told me it could be cuz I don't have enough ram, but I have 6 gb + 10gb of storage so I have no idea why it doesn't let me download it... They can't fix that. Your phone, like mine, just has the very minimum to be able to run the game, but not to be able to run smoothly, as it says on the message. That's why this message pops up. They can try to optimize the game as much as they can but they can't make your phone more performing

Your SkyKid should only change clothes when you are changing it, and should look the same when you log in as it did when you logged out. If it's changing on its own, then that's a bug you should report in #report-a-live-bug It is possible the game is not remembering what outfit you last put on.

Could also be as mentioned above, that they have been hacked and someone is using their account to play without their knowledge. Check to see if they have siblings that could be playing their game, and if that's not the case, change the password and add the Two Factor Authentication to your Google Account(again, as mentioned above(.

Hi android folks Question from an ios user for a friend haha, does Sky run fine on the Samsung galaxy tab s6 lite? (and by that I mean is it playable because my friend tried to play on an old Samsung phone and it was not playable because it bugged so much )

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite has the same processor as the Samsung Galaxy A50 which I do have. While it is compatible and is strong enough to avoid the performance message. It is not that smooth of an experience. The Tab S6 lite should run sky fine but don't expect 60 FPS. It will run into lag spikes.

Now if you were able to get the non-lite version... (Considerably more expensive) then sky would run nearly flawlessly. minus the bugs

It should run without too many hitches. It will lag a lot in resource intensive areas.

The Android version of sky currently has a bug going on it where there could be random freezes throughout gameplay. These random freezes have happened on every device I've ever run sky on since one of the previous updates. (Except the switch)

They only last for half a second but it's still noticeable

The exynos 9611 disappoints in sky frame rates and incorrect vulkan updates make sky almost unplayable, you can see everything being rendered and derendered. The FPS becomes so bad you can get nauseous

LG is known to build their lower end phones with a 32 bit OS. Also, a Helio P22 is a very low end processor and has a very disappointing GPU (PowerVR GE8320). It can't even handle 1080p.

If the question was removed it is most likely that something in the way you phrased the message was caught by the automatic filter or mentioned something considered a spoiler/inappropriate. Most likely that it was caught by the filter.

This is a big wild guess, but how's your storage doing? A few days ago I downloaded a couple of apps for something, that ate up my storage. Sky would force close itself afterwards. I figured that the non existent free space wasn't allowing Sky to run, uninstalled the apps and fixed it. 1. Check your Google play region and see if it's on Japan if not, set it to Japan
2. Because this issue could have started with the VPN, once again try the VPN and see if that works (whichever region you used the VPN servers for,etc and try Japan server as well)
3. If all else fails, contact Google.

Yep, and actually i found out minimum 60fps requirements some months ago, you'll need atleast a snapdragon 765G (Adreno 620)or above, for the high end chips you'll only need a snapdragon 835(adreno 540) or above, For other cpus like kirin and mediatek, 60fps will be supported on arm mali G76-10 core gpus (kirin 980) or above, mediatek users would need a dimensity 820 atleast to run sky at 60fps

Take a look at Xiaomi pad 5, it's an upcoming tablet and is insane value for money. It does run sky at 60fps too. But since your own specify any country, see if it'll be available in your region.

I don't suggest android tablets cheaper than $350 for sky. It'll be a very bad experience.

About the minimum requirements for Sky:
I had the opportunity to test it on a device with only 2 GB of RAM. The game will open up and enter home space just fine, but as soon as you jump into any realm, it will freeze then crash. The device had a processor also present on devices with 6 GB of RAM and above that happens to run the game just fine.

So I'd suggest to update the minimum requirements for Sky, regarding RAM to at 3 GB to be able to run the game, or 4 GB and above to run it worry-free

It's unbelievably easy to do the repair job on the Mi Mix as the back is ceramic, not glass. YMMV on any Nintendo Pro controller. They do not follow the industry standard X-input button configuration other normal controllers use. I.E. both my Wii U and Switch Pro controllers will not work with Sky on my Pixel, but PS4 and Xbox One X controllers work without any issue.

Hi. I'm not sure if this would be considered a bug or not, so I'm starting here.

For a long time now I've been using a PS4 controller to play Sky on my phone. I first was playing on a OnePlus 7 Pro, but got a OnePlus 9 Pro a few months back.
The controller had been working with Sky fine until today. Now it just won't function properly. I've tried on my previous phone; it still works. I've tried the controller on my current phone with other games; still works. But for some reason, it won't work with Sky specifically, with OnePlus 9 Pro specifically.

I tried searching online for anything, but can't find any information. And I've done everything I can think of, from repairing the controller to restarting my phone to uninstalling and reinstalling Sky. Nothing will make it work anymore. So I figured I'd ask here or something. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

hi hi! to my fellow android users who still don't have the update showing here's a quick tip (can't assure that it works for everyone but it does for me)

• open play store
• tap on your profile
• go to manage apps & device
• tap updates available

and sky should be there one you tap it the update should be available.

also currently, it hasn't in my case. but the mischief guide shows up occasionally

There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:

-Force close all applications
-Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find “Settings” in the application tray.
-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-Repeat steps for Google Play Games and Google Play Services

-BE SURE TO LINK YOUR SKY ACCOUNT TO GOOGLE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS
-Launch Google Play Store and try reinstalling/updating Sky

I see #known-issues says that the control map uses the switch layout (as opposed to the Android layout?). I wonder if the Android layout really says the d-pad isn't used. That would be strange, imho. I thought they were trying to match the assignments.

And side matter, I hate that they assigned a game settings note to a button. That's something that belongs in the game menu rather than an easily triggered button.

I don't think the informational menu button assignment is one of the known bugs. It seems intentional from they way I read #known-issues currently. And... That's... Poor design... Imho as a developer myself.

true! Seeing the post in #known-issues I assumed the entire layout could be wrong and assumed the d-pad is shown as working because it does on the Switch.

I used the Gamesir gamepad I mentioned as well as two 8bitdo gamepads and none had functioning d-pad buttons in Sky (using all available modes [android/switch/xinput] because I got so mad at one point lol because the pad control would randomly stop working [luckily it's fixed since the summer update]).

So yeah, I can't tell either if it's the game or something on my end (phone/OS) but it looks like the game's fault (maybe it's difficult to map directional buttons on Android to entirely different functions?)

I want to say that perhaps you're right in that there's difficulty in mapping d-pad buttons to do something else. It's amazing how many things should be simple but turn out to be challenging. With that said, i don't think that's the case. Now mind you, I've only ever developed a single game and it wasn't for Android but I don't imagine mapping would be an issue. Game makers have to triage and I suspect the d-pad features are low on the totem. 🤷‍♂️

I do hope adding the control layout was a bug though because moving left trigger flip-roll to the same button as the right bumper flight-switch has caused me to accidentally switch out a flight mode which is especially harry when you have a krill on your tail and you need to juke it.

When I ran into this issue last year, a temporary fix was to change graphics setting. It works, but only for that area. Once you load a new area, there is a chance the flicker would return. (This workaround might work, it might not. Worth a shot, though)

So I've been having an ongoing problem where in any given realm, the screen starts to big out and flicker vertical pixelated bars across the whole screen and this has been happening for months.
