DeX actually does a lot. I've noticed that the game launcher does not detect a game running when I launched it in DeX. In addition, any application I loaded within DeX immediately vanished from the processes whenever I undocked the phone. So it's almost like it's an isolated environment.

If the problem persists, then it can be WiFi antenna problem of phone

If it's a Samsung A10, it's not 64 bit for example, so it isn't compatible with sky. Even though the A10 has Android 10 on it.

HDMI via USB-C has no device overhead. Casting your screen via screen cast will make it laggy. Screen mirror via HDMI and/or USB has no lag... There is a small delay of about 1 frame, but not experience breaking.

It's a known issue after updating to android 11 for some phones... iirc making text smaller in your phone settings helps make it back smaller in game as well, although it's not an actual fix fix

No. Also 60 fps on android heats up android devices too much for comfort.. At most I can play it for 15 minutes without external cooling. But maybe its coz my country has ambient temp of 30 centigrade up. So personally, if you want to play at 60 fps all the time, you should go for iOS or those high-end android gaming phones.

High def mode doesn't use native res on most phones though for Android.

I think the graphic fidelity of high performance 60fps is higher than the graphic fidelity of high-definition 30fps... Especially considering high definition doesn't look all that high definition, at least on a Snapdragon phone... ~~They really do need to fix that stair stepping issue~~

Is your device rooted? Do you have any other apps running in background in the app drawer? Did you restart the device? Did you try to log in to Sky (to save your progress) and reinstall the game? Did you turn off firewall, etc by using direct plain connection? Did you download sky from play store? (Unofficial sources not supported)

Try these tips. It's also good to check your phone with a longer stress test with a benchmark app from play store

Actually in several cases high performance mode (60fps) looks better.
But it doesn't mean that 60fps on one phone looks better than high def or 30 fps! This is because of Android fragmentation and unpredictable.

For example sky is more enjoyable on my old Google pixel 2 many times with 30fps boosted mode than on my Pixel 5 with high def. Sky looks better on iOS (30fps) than any Android unfortunately.

But high def should have bigger resolution theoretically, whereas it can look worse than normal mode.

No. I changed my build fingerprint to a Pixel 4a and 60 fps was locked, changed it to a Pixel 4 (SD 855) and got 60 fps option though. (this was for testing purposes only. This isn't something you should do and is a complex procedure that most end users cannot do. DO NOT ATTEMPT)

native res means the graphics output will be the resolution of the device, which isn't an option for Any Android device due to fragmentation and lower end phones crashing. iirc, we had native res a long while ago. (Sometime in Sanctuary season, native res was turned off and we are using a technique called upscaling. The game is rendered at a smaller resolution, then upscaled to fit the resolution of the screen which is the cause of the "jaggies.")

Try to check network settings and disable Virtual Personal Network or proxy. What kind of phone you have (exact model)? Maybe your phone degraded over time.

a few people here have documented it but we haven't received any official word from the devs about it

which is a bit concerning because Snapdragon's generally the best processor brand all-around for Android
and if the evidence for the bug DreamFyre grabbed is any indication i'm pretty sure every Snapdragon device is affected
