I’m not totally sure what you mean, iara?

When someone stars you, do you mean when they send you light in the constellation? That gives you heart fragments, which fill up the meter. You need 60 light gifts (so 60 friends to send you light) to forge one heart.

Yes you can give hearts to your friends. Hearts cost 3 candles so you need to tap the gift icon three times to add the necessary candles and confirm in order to gift it. 🙂

It´s a known issue that android devices are facing some crash issues, but they´re working on it, Moon. It´s not Huawei specific, the link above has some info on it.

Is there any way to optimize my phone to run sky without lag spikes?

I'm using an android device with adreno 530 and snapdragon 821 which doesn't even support 60fps.

There's this issue where if I am currently alone on a server, my framerate would be stable without lag spikes. But if I got server merged with around 4-5 players, I'd experience lag spikes again.

I played the game a while ago but wanted to start over fresh, so I unlinked my google account and uninstalled the Google Play Games app, then deleted the game and reinstalled it which let me start over new. Now I'm wondering what will happen if I reinstall Google Play Games and try to relink my Google account, will it try to revert back to my original game profile and overwrite all my progress or will my new game save replace the old one?

@sly wagon there could be several reasons. However, going on data alone usually takes more out of your phone in general. Going into airplane/wifi usually saves battery power so this might be the culprit. For example, if you watch a saved movie in airplane mode you'll burn way less vs still being on your 4g/lte data

if your device can't run sky at 60fps, it's because your device isn't powerful enough to handle it

I got my phone to run stable 60fps by downscaling display resolution to 720p. No root required. Battery lasts longer too. Also disabled H/W overlay in developer options. Sky runs smoothly now.

Flagship phones have the option to change resolution in settings.

But some don't.

Use Adb shell command through USB cable (no root required) it's a very simple command.

Like I said, it seems like forcing English is a good way. Also many apps has the option to force English so it should be possible

the in-game language is determined by what your default device language it, when it's unsupported, it defers to whatever your secondary language is in device settings, in this case or if there isn't a secondary preferred language, english, but there previously wasn't a specific anchor for the text for situations where the default language reads right to left, but the fallback language is left to right, which is why you're getting that jankiness in the display. The anchoring part is fixed in the next patch, though we still do not have support for Hebrew.

Fom what I understand from the engineers the Forest (and other) crashes are a graphics+memory issue. we're working on it and hope to have it resolved in the next update. Oppo f9 seems to be one of the hardest hit devices by this particular issue. While compatible, the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU struggles to handle the graphics rendering a fair bit.

I play Sky on a Xiaomi Redmi 7. Runs smoothly enough to be enjoyable, can't use 60 fps mode tho. But the game is gorgeous even in 30 fps lol.

One issue I have is when I turn the POV and I want to face the character but there's a wall next to it it zooms in on ny character

No, my GPU struggles more with the "Battery saver mode" (lowest settings) than the "high resolution mode" for some reasons, like i get usually around 30-40fps with the high-res / around 20-30 with the default and only 5-15 with the battery saver mode

Problem is, it would overheat the cpu

On my best knowledge, all of the graphical computation is done on the GPU. All the CPU have to works with is all about sending new object to be cached and draw by GPU.

just practice ig. Also there is a bug in Android. You can't press more than 2 keys at once or the screen gets a stuck finger. Basically 3-finger tap is bugged, so u can play at the most 2 fingers at once

and for practice maybe check #sky-music and search the song u want to play, or yt

@winter quiver actually, any CPU would have a harder time displaying graphics on a screen compared to a GPU as GPUs are more powerful and specifically designed for graphics related tasks. Hopefully you enjoy reading your OpenGL book by the way!

If it's Incompatible, try changing your GPU name to adreno 530, and Install android 7.1.0, and also use a custom ROM (as if anyone using using MIUI), and not to mention to overclock your GPU and CPU (Max. 4 Cores to OC. Min Speed: 2.0 Ghz. GPU: Min Speed: 700Mhz). Mostly this game use the GPU than the CPU, putting on 2Ghz is more than enough to play on 720p or 1080p, GPU Speed more than 700Mhz it will be detemine as Mid-Spec
