This kind of issue does happen with Sky. The game doesn’t handle multiple audio sources well, it already in itself uses Multi Channel Audio. Iirc calls worked in the early Sky times, but they became inaudible with time and Android updates (which became more strict, leaving less wiggle room for developers). Android in particular can have problems with apps competing for audio focus, so Discord calls can become inaudible, unfortunately it's not something that a permission or a setting could resolve.

Try installing the game on a fresh hard reset android to see how would it run on a fresh OS (remember to backup everything from phone in this case) or #🐛submit-bugs-and-feedback hoping for some workaround, but it might not be enough for Sky in 2026

Its Adreno 610 GPU has only a 1.0 (old) version of Vulkan, and the GPU struggles even with OpenGL in heavier games. And Sky is heavy. Oppo A series often struggles because of optimization issues as well, but there are a few things you can try:

• reinstall Sky, restart the device
• check for Android updates, restart the device
• disable all app-over-app features, such as Discord over Sky, Messenger bubbles, etc.
• uninstall resource hungry background apps, such as Facebook, tiktok, etc
• close background apps from app drawer
• choose different graphics settings in game settings ⚙️
• if nothing works, you might try installing Sky after a hard reset, to see how the phone performs on its fresh clean OS (backup all data from device before performing this)

Trying to link my Steam account to my mobile's Sky app asks me to log in and, after doing so by entering my username, password, and 2FA, the game just loads again and asks me to either create a new account or use a login method. Your phone is faster, but it’s using a more fragile and unstable graphics system. Samsung abandoned even some s20+ series models in vulkan development. The iPad is slower but is more stable one, so it lags instead of crashing.

Currently the game is capable of running smoothly, very very smooth in highest graphics with 0 problem. But it def kill all app running aside from it, and i have 8gb ram too so it was confusing. While it smooth now, it would sometimes drop to 0 fps for no reason, it doesnt even pop the keyboard up when i tryna chat actually. In fact my device will guarantee crash if i type.

It's an FE, which means it's still optimized for efficiency rather than raw, high-end power. Since the Exynos 1580 is a mid-range chip, it can struggle with heavy games, if Vulkan isn't perfect.

Additionally S10 FE uses ANGLE to translate OpenGL into Vulkan. Therefore, even if it can excel in some games, it can struggle with Vulkan heavy applications. And Sky is very Vulkan heavy. Vulkan combined with its Xclipse GPU is a hit and miss.

Additionally it's normal that it closes background applications, it is working hard to render Sky on that big screen, and that's how its battery optimization is tuned (usually by kernel level). Ram is irrelevant for Sky, it's rather GPU and optimization heavy. In general, tablets are not recommended for Sky, their UIs are not that well optimized for gaming like phones.

Yes it can run smoothly for periods, this is another Samsung perk: while it can have a strong GPU on paper, Samsung started to lean more on Vulkan, but Samsung's solution is not mature yet. It’s still kinda in transition and they fallback to slower OpenGL when things aren’t stable. That's when you experience stutter or lag.

Given what Tib said, you could try to use gboard instead of Samsung keyboard as it usually is more optimised and exclude the app from the battery optimisation (you can do that in the respective app settings).
Now check if that helps as one ui shouldn't kill the keyboard in the background now nor limit it. Also try to exclude sky from the game booster as it sometimes has permissions to kill apps if needed to provide a better performance.

If that doesn't help you could try to activate the "Deactivate HW-Overlays" in developer options. This could lead to more stability as the GPU now also renders the keyboard instead of switching to the normal hardware layer composition which might cause your game to crash. Just know that this basically puts more load onto your gpu but it could help

Try to lower graphics settings in Sky (one bar - 30fps is the golden middle way), and unfriend inactive friends in your constellation. In general, even with a good connection I recommend having way below 500 (including blocked friends).

For GPU:

• Go to settings → About phone → Hardware information (or Software information, depends on brand). Look for GPU or Graphics entry, most phones show it.

For Vulkan version:

• Go to Settings → About phone → tap Build number 7×
• Now head to Settings → Developer options → check Graphics driver / Vulkan info there (if available)

You can also install an app like CPU-Z or Device info HW: they show both GPU and Vulkan version instantly.

You can log into steam through your android device but there are a few things worth considering:

• tablets in general are not that optimized for gaming, especially with unique Vulkan heavy applications with Sky - you'll need a strong tablet with long term android updates and good optimization
• steam login can be problematic sometimes

There are players who do play on tablet, but a small subset of the player base and in the long term it's essential to choose a good tablet or better to turn towards phones which in general handle gaming better

Compatibility doesn't depend on the number of the cores. It rather depends on optimization and GPU, Vulkan graphics driver and AVX2 support. In general a PC has to work harder to display the game on such a higher resolution and windows windows platform on a wide variety of chipsets, than on Android.

That sounds like a loading/desync bug. If Home isn’t giving the seasonal candle or daily quests, try switching your spawn point to Aviary Village for now since it seems to work there. The delayed wax collection and darkness burning also points to connection/server lag. Try restarting the game, changing areas once or twice, or checking your connection. If it keeps happening for several days, definitely report it in Support/Bug Reports.

Yeah, that can be normal on the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Running something in the background can actually cause more lag than split-screen/multiple visible apps because Android may keep background processes active while Sky is trying to use RAM, CPU, and battery resources. Background apps can also trigger syncing, notifications, updates, or memory pressure without you noticing.

The Tab S6 Lite isn’t a high-end gaming device, so Sky can become sensitive to multitasking. When apps are visible in split-screen, Android sometimes manages resources differently or limits inactive processes more aggressively than hidden background apps.

You could try:
• Fully closing unused apps instead of leaving them in background
• Turning off battery optimization for Sky
• Restarting the tablet before longer sessions
• Reducing graphics/FPS settings in Sky
• Disabling background sync for heavy apps (Discord, browsers, cloud storage, etc.)

So it seems counterintuitive, but background tasks can definitely hurt performance more than extra tabs on screen.

Honestly, by having a different device.

Sky isn’t really ram hungry. This game rather depends on very strong GPU (not cpu). Additionally, Vulkan optimisation matters a lot - Tablets in general are not optimized for gaming because of their often custom UI. It's rather recommended to play this game on a strong mobile device.

Fixes depend a lot on what is going on, whether the issue is easy or complicated to determine and (or) correct.
There had been a few issues with Eden crashing and loops a few weeks ago while trying to collect the wing buffs, for which some of us found a workaround.
Also yesterday some players have experienced issues with Valley's portal being missing (for which a couple of workarounds have worked for several players too).
Don't know the specifics of the difficulty you are experiencing right now to be able to say more on the matter right now.

Unless you have a mobile device available, STAR pins are utterly useless. There's no way to scan them on platforms that aren't mobile, even if you have an external NFC reader.

And yes, sadly the things from the past are still true. Every STAR pin needs to be scanned again once its duration runs out as TGC didn't make them permanent items/spells on your account.

I tested Sky Android on Beta, will my progress transfer?

No, Beta is a completely separate app that will continue to run alongside the Live version of the game after Global release for Android. Progress from either version is non-transferable to the other.

Why does Android video recording show the UI when iOS doesn't?

Due to some hardware differences between iOS and Android devices we are currently unable to replicate this feature exactly on Android. Video capture is through Google Play Games.

Why do Android players not have the headphones when playing external music?

Another hardware difference between iOS and Android. External audio isn't detected in the same way. We're still working on this one for a future update.

Is there crossplay between iOS and Android?

Yes! You can matchmake with players on both platforms. The only time this is not possible is if you and your friend are playing on different versions, so make sure you've both updated to the latest version (this will happen for friend on the same platform as well)

How do I report a bug?

The game keeps crashing

Check #known-issues or ask around to see if this is happening to other players. If not, it could be that your device is running out of memory (RAM). Try closing any background applications and restarting the game. This can occur on lower-end devices due to multiple applications running at the same time.

Audio and additional levels are failing to download

Please make sure you have enough storage on your device. The game itself is under 1gb but can take up to 3gb to download and install all files. Try clearing cache+data, powering your device completely down, restarting and reinstalling the game from Google Play Store or Google Play Games. Be sure to link your account before uninstalling to save your progress.

How do I transfer my progress from iOS to Android?

You will need to link your Sky account to a Google account (Game Center is not available on Android devices). Follow these steps:

-Tap the icon in the top right corner to open the Main Menu
-Tap Account
-Sign into Google
-Link account to Google

Open Sky on your Android device, it will launch a fresh game/account:
-Open the Main Menu
-Tap Account
-Sign into Google
-Tap Link Account, a prompt will ask if you want to Recover Sky Account. Select Abandon
-Your saved progress will load

My device was compatible and now it's not when I tried to update

There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:

-Force close all applications
-Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find “Settings” in the application tray.
-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-Repeat steps for** Google Play Games** and Google Play Services
-Power your device completely down (do not hit the Restart button)
-BE SURE TO LINK YOUR SKY ACCOUNT TO GOOGLE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS
-Launch Google Play Store and try reinstalling/updating Sky
-If it still shows up incompatible, close the App Store again and wait a little while before checking back.

We're still waiting to hear back from Google as to why this is happening for some devices, we have made no changes to compatible devices.

TGC is working ridiculously hard to make the android experience smooth, but with so many different variances in software/hardware, there will be a lot of hiccups that come up, so please be patient, understanding and vigilant in reporting bugs you find in game : )

There are a few things to take into account for why the game isn’t running smoothly.

1. The game literally just finished porting to Android from iOS so there is bound to be issues

2. Your phones may not have an incredible gpu

3. It’s always a good idea to check the pins for minimum spec requirements

4. tbh one of the most important for Android devices Be realistic about your device. I’ve answered a lot of questions from people wondering why their cheaper low-end phone isn’t compatible/isn’t running the game smoothly. This is a very processor-heavy game. Most low-end devices will not have the hardware required to run games like this one. The same goes if the game is possibly stuttering on a mid-range device. In my experience the most common reason why frame rate drops in games is because your device just can’t handle it that well. Yes it could be because of the game itself, but the processor is a big factor in this. I’ll be frank, the only reason you should be surprised the game isn’t running flawlessly and looking incredibly crisp is if you have like a Samsung Galaxy 9-10 or some other premium Android device with beefy specs.

it's not a problem unique to brazil. There are plenty of android devices that run the game just fine, even those that are older. Problem is cheaper devices have coinciding cheap hardware, that's on the manufacturer. Just like anyone, if you want a high performing device, you have to save your money for one, including myself.

The game is still being optimized right now, but there can be a lot of reasons. Samsung sometimes puts different hardware into the supposed same model. One of their major hardware differences between “same” models is they use their own Exynos processors for the international models they sell while they use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors in their US versions. Up until very recently the Samsung Exynos processors were less powerful than Snapdragon ones. That’s a big reason why the game might run better or worse on older Samsung phones that are supposed to be the same phone. There are other factors like ram and software as well. For now the devs probably determined that for whatever reason your device isn’t capable of handling 60fps or higher that well right now.

TGC is working on making it so playing music in an external app will mute the in-game music for android devices.

Venicespillsthetea, if the play store says their device (oppo f5) is not compatible, then it's not compatible. it is possible that TGC can optimise sky enough for that device to run it in the future, so keep an eye out. but keep in mind that their device may not have the raw processing power needed to run sky.
