You might not need to restart your device. Just go into the app store and make sure the update downloaded. Sometimes it just takes a while for new updates to download automatically, so you might just have to do it yourself ^^'

I never in any other game had this inconvenience, I just ask for something as simple as being able to play without problems.

I have been unable to open the game for two weeks. I'm going to miss the double orange candles too, they probably won't fix it soon.
I honestly feel that the iaps are very expensive for what the company offers to the players. As compensation they gave 45 orange candles, it's the equivalent of 7 days of daily quests but this inconvenience lasted more than 7 days....

Well It seems that the problem is in the last type that the game is compatible with, which is Android 9. Although we can download the game from Google Play, it can be said that the game no longer includes Android 9 due to its arrival to the big updates for example, could that be the reason?

Android version is irrelevant, some can run it on android 9, 11, 13, 14.. and some don't. Android phones have miscellaneous configurations, it could be memory addressing related with GPU, some Mali GPUs in this case.

I feel your pain but the devs are aware of the problems, as stated in #known-issues , so let's hope for the best .

I assume you are using Samsung's screen recorder. Do you mean that there is no game audio, or do you mean you can hear the game audio when playing but the screen recording has no audio?

If the game appears muted, restart the game and try again. If this issue happens consistently, report it as a bug in #bug-reports-android

If only the screen recording has no audio, check if you selected the option to record game sound and try again

Hi, sky on my tab keeps crashing. It's a Huawei MatePad T 10. Storage isn't an issue since it's second hand from my grandma and reformated already. I can load up to home but every time I go into a realm/map or even tp to a friend, I crash after a few seconds. It's also my first time owning a Huawei device so I don't really know. The Vulkan API crashes were the ones resolved last hotfix (and was stated in a past beta update message), the beta fix we’re kinda testing right now is for the Mali GPU related crashes, although we don’t have an official TGC statement about this, so we gotta wait until they say something or to see if next patch fixes it

Sadly TGC disabled the third lightning bolt at 60FPS in most mobile devices except certain iPads because of thermal issues and overall performance optimization (specifically on android since they can’t optimize the game to every device) iirc this change was made last year before DoB due to graphical updates in grass and lightning

I remember this exact case happening during sanctuary iirc. Most phones weren't able to run sky on a smooth framerate, even having lots of crashing issues, so tgc lowered the graphics quality overall to give more devices the chance to handle sky.

There are many generations of Intel Processors, and many models too, this is also true for the AMD

Those processors may or may not have integrated graphics, and even if they do, there are AMD and NVIDIA dedicated graphics that i woul need to optimze my game for

So i jsut do a standared code that will run on all devices, not the specifics one...

But sometimes this may break, for example, there are bugs on bigger games that only affect AMD graphic cards, in other games, the launch day can be completely broken for NVDIAA users since the driver may cause the game to crash....

I'll try to explain it.
The reason why your pixel 4 looks better than oneplus 12 is probably because the pixel 4 has stock android, compared to the colour OS or Oxygen OS? Sorry I don't know which is oneplus and which oppo. Google pretty much optimized the pixel 4 to the maximum by not giving it such a complicated OS but only Android, instead of android + the OS on it. That's why different phones have different problems.
Let's take xiaomi for example. They released a brand new OS call HyperOS. Before this version, the latest OS was MiUi 14. With the brand new HyperOS, you suddenly have much more bugs in game, such as no buttons or pixelated graphics, compared to the old one.
Like Tib once said: If you want the nearest expirience to an apple device, pixels are the way to go.

Sadly for android devices, tgc doesn’t usually optimize the game to every device (iirc the only exception are certain high-end Samsung devices and all recent Google Pixel phones), usually in android the game sticks in 1-2 bolts since isn’t optimized, the best graphics available for mobile devices are usually on Apple devices, since the iPad version of the game can reach native resolution and 60FPS at 3 bolts setting (in Apple Silicon iPads), but it’s an exception since the game is optimized to almost every Apple device

Does your phone come with a built-in QR code scanner? That's usually from letting the camera point at the code without snapping a pic. If not, you could download a reader app to scan it. It would launch a website to type your chat in.

Make sure your controller is supported by the game (Nintendo controllers work but not JoyCons since they’re detected as two different controllers, and third party controllers not made by Nintendo, Xbox, or Sony can be detected but make sure they work with xInput (detected as Xbox controllers) or like an controller by your system) if your controller isn’t detected that way or if isn’t supported you’re almost out of luck, you could find an app that converts your controller inputs into xInput but it would give you input lag (delay in your controller and the game actions)

I’ve never heard of it before , but try updating your phone’s software, the controller’s firmware (if it’s from a console) and try to unlink and reconnect the controller after restarting your phone, if nothing of this works its most likely an bug, you can report it on #bug-reports-android

Hi. What android version are you again and your friend? I can download sky with even just enough storage. I play sky in almost full storage but can still install it. Playstore asks me to free a bunch of apps just to proceed with any updates. I do what it suggests then reinstall the deleted apps after Sky has installed alr.

I'm wondering, maybe it's not about storage but your device ram? Are you atleast 4gb ram? My Samsung S8+ runs sky in 4gb memory

I have note8 android 8(I think s8+ and note8 are quite similar in matters of storage and ram, and judging by screenshot same system version), my friend runs android 10(I don't remember tablet model).
When did you download sky? My friend downloaded sky like week ago with less storage and it downloaded with no issues, then deleted since they don't really play lately. Now to test we tried to download sky again on with more storage and it wants 2-3gb(roughly 9gb total needed for either devices) lol

There is a difference when it comes to operating system which in my case is Android 9 and yours is 8.

Not sure about the specifics of your model, but I checked on reports and there are other players reporting the same issue with that model (Motorola G54).

Nobody answered so i will: You can 100% play sky on honor x8, i couldn't install it directly from play market so i got it from honor store and updated in play market. I recommend using lowest graphics tho, other way it is a bit laggy.

Thankfully I also linked my sky acc to my facebook so I can access it.

At this point. I'm so angry and frustrated of how TGC is handling things regarding compensation. It should be the next priority instead of adding new collaboration that may add another bug in the app. Please compensate the affected ones before adding any new content that could cause another disaster again. I'm thinking you are just forcing some of us players to spend money by not giving the compensation. How much more proof is needed? We alr sent a SKY ID in the support email. We sent proof. Why can't you investigate the problems from there?? Is tracing those people who were affected that hard?
