Sorry it's blurry, my camera is a bit shabby. Wing headcanon!

The wings aren't able to fold up entirely, causing the cape to droop like it normally does. The tips are highly flexible, while the areas closer to the body are rigid.

They also attach to the back, so the legs and waist can swing independently. Normally this would be a problem in flight, but seeing as how Sky kids are restricted to either high speed power flight or upright, slow flight; the wings are able to twist to support flying in a non-horizontal posture.

XD- seeing as the Sky children inhabit a largely cloudy, windy home range, true flight isn't exactly necessary, as short bursts of power combined with surfing the clouds or winds suffices perfectly for their needs.

Of course, this sort of flying is rather clumsy, so Sky kids tend to glide into walls or trees, or be easily blown about if they are caught offguard; but it serves well enough to allow access to some areas. Not to mention, practice and skill can mitigate these problems almost completely.

Due to the high power needed to sustain flight, however, many Sky children can only fly for so long, before tiring out and gliding to a rest. Older Sky kids can fly for longer, but the young moths can only withstand a few bursts (without the assistance of another Sky kid or the support of a high drop) before needing to land and recover.

Hint 4: If the giant fish gave you a fright, there is a great hiding spot on the right. (Ngl, I thought someone would have found me by now so I didn't even write a fourth hint until now 😭 ).

Hint 5: (Will be revealed 60 minutes (1 hour) after the hunt starts.)

Hint 1: I am found in the wasteland. A plant sits nearby, tall and grand.

Hint 2: If you follow me up this large battle remnant; I'll show you my emote, it is one of assessment.

wasn't sure where to put this but i came up with a writing idea because of the Valley sliding race; always gets me a little how cheering can be heard despite a largely empty world, so i thought about the end of the world happening right in the middle of a race, the biggest race of the year, the championship—and no one knows what's happening, but the race reaches the stadium, but instead of collecting the targets, the racers see the world falling to red and the Valley twins preparing for battle, then... the end of the world.

fast forward to the era of sky kids, and star seeker adventurers are exploring and unraveling the history of the world before them, and to save their people, ||Eden|| is the end-all-be-all (just like in the game). time stopped when the world ended, so the cheers of the race can still be heard; cue a bit of headcanon world-building, but the entrance to the ||Eye of Eden|| ripping open random doors in time and space, and the adventurers discover that it's in the stadium at the end of the race—so we're coming full circle: race to the end of the world, race to save the world.

I almost want to write a short story about a Sky kid who fell before the great collapse that resulted in this world becoming what it is now.

With the people, still alive, finding it and trying to figure out what it is.

Fireproof, able to change appearance and size depending on certain items and spells, often mimics the actions of those they see like a little child imitating its parents- and most of all, able to carry light within themselves to share with others, lighting candles with a red candle they seem to procure from their own bodies. Requiring warmth for some unknown reason, as they only seem to perish if they become completely frozen, and not needing to eat or drink- the people that would eventually become spirits try to figure out exactly what this Skykid is and what to do with them, unaware that more are out among the stars.
