Btw, it's strange to me that after the show, the skating girl just leave, as if her parts is complete. So in a way, she may have passed away or give up the dream before reaching the stage. Some time ago I shared a thought of that the diamonds are like the gold

Here's it if you wanna read

I mentioned that the Elder Statues in their respective temples and in The Summit (Vault of Knowledge) there's a diamond-shaped space

I've never mentioned that em' could be an space for a core

Those diamonds could be a core for the elders and

Yea I always felt like the diamonds were a form of technology rather than magic

It’s great lore though. Much of it is left up to the eye of the beholder. Some of the best games ever made have lore like that. Actually reminds me of dark souls/bloodborne story telling. Very different stories but very similar way of telling a story and players LOVE IT!!! You’d be stunned by the dark souls lore on YouTube and how thoroughly it’s covered

I’m seriously glad someone else felt that way. They’re very different styles of games but sky definitely takes some inspiration from the souls games and why not??? Anyone developing games worth they’re weight in salt is taking inspiration from Miyazaki’s work. Dude is just brilliant

Eden feels very Bloodborne. Especially the depressing moaning you hear before entering the end of Eden where you give the descendants your wl. Sounds like the Bloodborne respawn sound.

You’d probably have to know and love the souls genre to feel it. The drive to see the beauty around the next corner, the feeling that there’s a Lovecraftian sort of deity omnipresent (but not necessarily an evil one just an impossibly powerful one), the cycle of life and death, the lore itself is open to infinite interpretations and more

You can also see that tgc probably was inspired atleast to some degree by Miyazaki’s work in the overall art and the level/world design

Although Miyazaki is absolutely the undisputed king of level design. You should just Google “YouTube dark souls world design genius” and prepare to be completely amazed. Combine the world design with the infinite combinations of character builds still somehow balanced and all able to progress through those games is mind boggling.

this is such a funny thing, I was precisely trying to leave a note in orbit with the concept "Sky Souls"!
The ending of intro cutscene for DS2 is like jumping into GW, just the same, and then there's the quote:

"Like a moth drawn to a flame, your wings will burn in anguish, time after time. For that is your Fate. The Fate of the Cursed."

Which sounds... like it could really be a piece of in-game lore for sky!
