We also discussed the idea that the Prince ascended during the trials seen in Cave of Prophecy, and I personally believe King tried to make the diamond to do the same to himself. War broke out, etc. and now the Prince is the glowboy we see every time we reincarnate, so we’re all running around with a fragment of Prince trying to clean up daddy’s mess. ~~Yes the original storyline has Prince become King but idc. ~~

I do not, but I’m interested to know others’ takes. We know that the kingdom gradually became more obsessed with ostentatious designs, with buildings getting more gilded and gold trimming. The idea that they’d place a large amount of emphasis on trinkets (and consequently the accessories we use) may explain why they would gild-the-lily and gold-up the place where they would put on gold. Then again, we don’t see many spirits with gold, do we?

Sorry if this has been touched on. But it looks like there are two different people depicted here. Light miners and either merchants or scholar (though there’s a theory that scholars aren’t involved at all iirc. The big swirl seems (to me) to imply Megan’s presence, so this might be an early incident, or a cultural memory of harvesting and using light for the first time? The fire in the third reminds me of the fire from Cave of Prophecies, though that fire produced the clouds, so maybe here it’s being linked visually with the magic it produces?

In my mind, the floppy hat folk are lightseekers, the vault headset folk are scholars taking the light and making spells, in the same way we give spirits 5 candles for spells.
Then the folk on the 3rd image use those spells to create fireworks, fires and other stuff.

I’m trying to make sense of the wreckage in the Ark area. There seem to be roughly 3 ships, and that anchor is the size of at least one ship.

The tanker in Shipwreck also has tiny stone boats for lifeboats.

Okay guys that’s random but I have a theory about the Valley Elders.

The Valley Elders were one person once.
But they had an accident which split their light and them, still leaving some damage behind (each of them only has one eye; one of each’s arms are... kinda weird).
Also, possibly everyone else, or at least all Elders and in my headcanon also megabird, still view them as one person (hence, “Elder of the Valley” instead of “Elders of the Valley”)

The statue in the Village (from upcoming Season of Dreams) might be Valley as one as well, although it could be someone else.

And they have only one concept name (Samekh).

Any thoughts and additions to my theory?

King giving the siblings the title Elder and keeping who he was talking to vague in order to stoke competition (I personally believe Valley is where he trained his troops) to keep their training of the troops up to snuff...

Isle of Dawn, I believe, was the shipyard for the Kingdom. Elder Dawn was in charge of production and making sure certain things got back to the stars. The alcove in the cloud wall in Dawn looks like a very small gas station.

There was a picture last night that explained that the massive machine above the Hidden Forest Elder’s stone, the one in the ceiling, was actually a manta-processing machine (think getting juice from an orange). The same machine is broken down in GW, the room where the manta is eaten by the krill. I think once the capital / GW went down, most areas capable of producing light batteries fell apart, or had already become dependent on GW for light when it went under, so boats eventually went the way of the dodo.

My theory is that the air is simply very, very dense in the world of Sky, instead of low gravity.
With dense air it’s more difficult to fall and also more difficult to be lifted up. Which is why once you try to fly in Eden, the wind might catch you instantly

The dense air theory also explains why the clouds are so low and how the mantas can fly all the time.

And also how it takes an entire wedge to just lift yourself up in the air.

The rocks are carried by the strong wind and air that holds them from falling down, which is why the streams look kind of strange.

When you run or fly around, you can see dust/spores floating in the air. For them the already dense air is thick, like swimming in jello, unlike on earth where dust and spores travel in the air without falling down

If the gravity was low instead of dense air, we wouldn’t be able to fly horizontally

@dense fox may be right with it being a glitch, considering the borders of the mural are cut short (the tip of the spear is missing along with the icon/glyph above being cut off at the same point, all of the other figures being decapitated at the same height) and that the mural is a good 5 in-game feet off the wall (but then again Cave’s murals are off the wall as well...).

It may be a reference / resource image for the devs, with multiple mural narratives being contained on it, which might be why we can’t directly correlate some of the figures to who we’d expect to be there (the Elders; I’m specifically thinking that I can’t identify the Twins from the background figures).
