So from the game opening cutscene : they were all connected to the 'king' when they were stars. Had infinite light. Then they got divided(no longer connected) for some reason. (So lost their star status?) fell down but still managed to make their homes in the clouds. Then darkness came (something went sideways again!?) and they all faded to memories (?) and then sky kids were created(they are shown as falling as well?) Someone is calling them to bring back the lost stars...

OK makes sense.. So when opening cutscene said they made home in clouds... They were like saying the story at a high level.. What happened was they fell, got help and guidance (4prophets)to ascend. Which the king did. But the elders didn't ascent? Something happened and Eden broke... Because in both the cave murals and opening cutscene the castle is still intact...

Aaand the recent updates to the spirits in dawn shows a fallen star and a child lying there.. That should be a sky kid not the king itself as a kid? Because first cutscene shows a second falling of the stars and then shows sky kid mural

I sorta realized there’s like two types of darkness, blue and red

blue is harmless to skykids, while red drains their light

this is mostly about the krill and darkness plants

blue krill light = passive, patrolling
red krill light = hostile, targeting

the darkness plants (blue) dont have much of an effect on skykids, but theyre seen to have somehow killed some of the spirits by growing from the inside

meanwhile, there’s also the red rocks in eden, which drain skykids’ light, more depending on the size and impact

There’s also the dark debris you can see on crabs and krill, which seems to be making them hostile

also remember that right before the point of no return, there are dead skykids with blue crystals growing on them. I know this is a reference to the old version of sky. but I wonder if it has any significance regarding what you mentioned

skykids are primarily made out of stone/some sort of rock and light. our capes are obviously made out of light, so that’s why when you look down when you’re flying your cape doesn’t have a shadow since light can’t give off a shadow. our BODIES however, are made out of some stone material hence that our bodies can give off shadows. we can bump into things and bump into other kids without phasing through them like light would do

But after we hit that abandon button to change to our normal account,the skid automatically get sent to Eden since it has no life,no purpose,nothing it can do anymore.
But because it has no winged lights to save any statue and itself,it just stand there,waiting for death.
It get to the glowy boi room but never hold the boi,just lying there,thus it's stuck in that room forever and be a statue forever.
Until we give us our winged lights
The body has a soul now.It can finally break free and return to the light.
At the end,the abandoned skids thank us for setting them free and come back to the Sky,waiting to be a new skid in the future.

it's interesting, because up until the new cutscene we thought that skykids came into existence years even centuries after the fall of the kingdom

I'm not sure if the fallen child in the new version of the Isle spirit memories is related to the next season, since it seems like the new season will be taking place in Valley.

I think it may be a callback or something to the early beta versions of the game, where there were fallen children on the beach in Isle and you originally woke up there yourself when you first started the game. Since the home space as we know it didn't exist yet, everyone started in Isle first and had to go through there as the tutorial before getting to the Aviary part

But I'm not sure how that fits into the timeline of the ancestor spirits and sky kids existing at the same time or separately lol

yesterday brick menitoned that eden castle is somekind of church rite

well here is the thing : eden castle might be eden temple, thus proving the existence of eden elder

now, eden here is called as holy land for sky kingdom

and the question is, how eden can be called as holy land?

Remember prophecy mural? We all knoe prophecy mural telling us how sky kingdom come to be. The CoL succeeding the trials, claim the elements, etc etc

One thing to be noticed is how Eden mountain is depicted in this mural

One part of the mural showing us the CoL climbing up to eden mountain with Lamed after giving elements to 4 elders. We can see some sort of golden beam shot up from the mountain peak. And the next mural show us the ‘ascension’ of CoL, presumably become the King or high leader or something

The ‘holy land’ designation for eden might come from this event. But what if it come even far before the ascension event happened? Far far before the CoL succeeding the trials? As the highest peak and also as the part of Sky land that can be touched by the Light itself, hence the golden beam in the mural.

For this part is only my assumption so please take it with grain of salt.

In the final mural we can see the CoL being surrounded by the Reborn Cycle. From what i see in game, the reborn cycle only happened after we taking part on it. We, the children of light, basically the trigger of the Reborn Cycle itself. The CoL here is our predecessor and the founder of sky kingdom

What if CoL was originally didnt have ability or any influence over the Reborn Cycle? They can only have influence over Reborn Cycle after they succeded the trials and proof their worthiness as a leader, as a guide. The ultimate prize of the trials are not only the elements but also the recognition as the highest leader of sky people and also light creatures who will lead them to the Light.

And thats why Eden called as holy land, because thats where the CoL get recognized by the Light itself and claim the ultimate prize as the leader of the Reborn Cycle.

My theory on the new cutscene boi goes like this:
Since its generally accepted that the king is the prince is the trial mural shinyboi, it is obvious that the trials were there for picking the king of the sky kingdom, like flos, me, and several other theories suggest...
And opening the Ascension beam could only be done by the prince AFTER his coronation on eden... so we can assume the trials gave the elemental wisdoms, and using this new knowledge (and possibly new powers gained from the knowledge too) the prince became the only one that could open and close the Ascension beam, and making the rebirth cycle... so basically its a slight altercation to @bitter shale 's theory but it makes more sense when cross referenced with the mural
(Plus this one was made first) no offense flos your theory was top notch

And the new dud in the new cutscene is prob the prince... u know in the CoP murals the prince fell from the sky after the elders fell first? The stargazer is the one that found him and brought him to the CoP, which makes that cutscene take place right before proph...
