So here is my theory about the leviathan and why they got removed.
It looks like they're used power diamonds to charge a cage that keeps the creature locked up. I think the create escapes when the diamond runs out/is removed. This would explain the broken pillars and broken top of the light house that looks like something burst through it. I think by use removing the diamond, we've unleashed the kraken again.
Previously though, they'd managed to get it back in its cage and put a hefty diamond in and abandoned the diamond raw material mine for safety a long time ago.

How to visit the Leviathan: You need to have quest 4 unfinished, otherwise it won’t be anywhere to be seen after completion. Your WL is completely safe also, as the plants near the barriers have a strong recharge range, so you can study the Leviathan as much as you’d like

However if you dont like the way it looks, please make sure you express that in #beta-feedback as the devs wont know if we are unhappy with something unless we tell them. To people who ask: where’s the boat?, is the boat missing?, I don’t see the boat anymore.
The boat that used to take us to the Seasonal Area was relocated to Wastenland social space since build 181580.
