Third Eden run
Went in with 99 WL, I think I got close to the sand dunes when my Sky Kid said "I'm a stone, Luigi"

Although I had a really tense moment on my way to the final place

I got Krill'd, and bullied by rocks

And I honking somehow held onto my WLs

Not complaining though, I was doing the prince quest for that

I went into Eden today and scouted for any players that needed help, I usually find just 1 but today I found 2! The blue winged player was doing just fine until we got to the ending half, final stretch before we reached the storm. I made sure to befriend the Moth once I noticed them struggling way to much and held their hand to make sure they didn't die. At first they could easily pick up on my steps and copy them. On the final stretch, as I mentioned, I managed to get the Moth into the tunnel but noticed that blue was lagging behind, so I took the shot and went towards them. The Moth followed even though I signaled them to stay in the tunnel, but I'm glad they did! The Moth friended blue and took their hand (I didn't have more candles) and I took Moth's hand, I guided us 3 into the tunnel safely and we got through the storm together, doing our best to keep each other's light up. It was so much fun to help those 2! Luckily after the final flight I got enough candles to befriend blue, so I hope I get to see these 2 again soon.

pick a time where you can take as many time as you want. first time are always scary, so don't be afraid to make a few stop to calm down and take a breather
be aware of your surrounding
enjoy your first experience
and whatever happens, keep moving forward

Eden is 99% timing based, learn the patterns of going through the obstacles, learn where it is safe, and where it is not. If you insist going alone for the first time, try learning the patterns of every obstacle, otherwise you're going to have a bad time and I'm going to have to save your winged light should I come across you. (But not right now, I'm preparing for bed.)

I will recommend that the first time you go through, try to do so the normal way. You may find some guides where the players fly through some parts and take shortcuts, but those methods can be difficult even for experienced users. Just take your time and like the others said pay attention to the patterns and stay in a safe spot until you're ready to move to the next part. It's not a race

Pay attention to the other players around you too!! Observing them can tell you the places where you can stop

Make sure to gain their attention if you can! Lighting them up would make sure you can see them better since it can be kinda hard to spot them to see what they do. Also, try out the memory candles if you spot any! Most of those in Eden are rechargeable spots, helps out with your WL.

I was so happy that I could have accompany cross the Eden. He even offered me a hand and I was too surprised that he flew across Eden?? 😭 But then we separated bcs he's entering pnr while me just need some winglights.

Eden content doesn't need to be spoiler tagged in an eden channel^^ Around half an hour - 40mins ish maybe? Never timed it. The first part of Eden takes 2 mins, statues take 10-15 or mins I'd say, then there's the whole flying to orbit that takes too long I'd say personally around half an hour

Doing a WL/Candle run before I enter Eden again today and help more unsuspecting troubled players. Need the candles to friend them so I can lend them a hand if necessary, and the WL so I could be the last one to Ascend and show them that it's ok to fall through the endless storm at the end. They always lag behind in that part, I don't take their hand and force them in at that point, I go in first so they follow at their pace. I managed to get the Chair recently, so I'm making it the habit to set up at Orbit and congratulate them on the run and that I hope they enjoy the prize that it's the Orbit. It's always so fun to see Moths just crazily fly around Orbit, they sure have fun in there.

You won't keep all of your wedges, only as many as the amount of wing buffs will give you. You still need to recollect the other winged lights from the realms again if you want to get more

But once you purchase the wing buffs, you will be given them each time after you complete Eden before being reborn to add to your cape

If you want to maximize your AC on your first run, then I recommend finding the winged light guide for each realm on the wiki and collecting every WL. There are currently 95 in the realms, plus 10 in Eden itself. Or you could go through now, collect as many WL as you can after, then go back to Eden before the next reset and get as many of the statues that you missed as possible.

You will always be reborn, even if you enter Eden with 1 WL (though I don’t know what happens if you enter capeless ). All it takes to be reborn is to go past the point of no return and lose all your WL.

Yea the constant red rock rain make you loose more wls than before which is frustrating to me since I can go back before with few wls with me after I finished giving all my wls to the statues and just wait for myself to get reborn

uhhh definitely just fly around the clouds, i'd advise heading to the right and staying above the birds (fly approx where the black rock debris is)

(if ur talking about the second area, the first area is definitely harder to fly through)

1. nope, they don't hurt in the second stage (i'm talking about these rocks high above in the clouds, in the video screenshot) . i just use them to mark approximately how high i should be flying, since the first (and last) time i flew in line with the birds i got spotted by a krill. the clouds are enough to recharge.
2. first stage you can just head under the flying rocks (which do hurt, but going under means you won't get hit), then climb the mountain up to the top normally. i've never tried flying in the first stage before, but if you plan on doing it definitely bring a prop/bonfire spell to practise so you can recharge yourself

That's great info! thank you! I've never flown through Eden on my own I walked the first time, and was ubered the second. I'm bringing a friend who hasn't been so I'm super nervous to mess up the flight, but I'm also nervous to practice because I don't want to lose all my wl before me and my friend go.

secondly, I noticed I could buy what looked like butterfly jars from a guide. was my assumption correct? and would that be a good prop to bring?

are you talking about assembly guide? one prop is literally just a jar, it doesn't do anything. the second prop is a brazier which costs 12 hearts; that's the closest you'll get to a permanent recharge prop unless other ts come that offer them. it charges one wedge in ~7 seconds.

hold on, i can also probably make a super quick video about how to fly through the second part of eden (considering most guides haven't been updated since the shield was added)

1. it recharges you like a standard torch/lamp/candle bunch etc, and can recharge all your wedges as long as you stay close to it for long enough.
2. yes, you can. i'm compressing the video now - as long as you don't go past the point where it teleports you, you won't be in pnr. but beware- using this method means that you won't get another prompt that asks you if you're sure that you want to go

once you land, and walk forward a bit it'll show up with the two prompts! pressing x on them twice (first one says do you want to proceed blah blah and second one says do you want to go home) will teleport you into the pnr hallway. you can go home from there, as long as you don't move past that point.
alternatively, once the prompt shows up press x for going into pnr but press yes for going back home.

How do you know when you're ready to go to Eden? I'm so scared lol

Eden is not scary, just think of it as an obstacle course or like the trials. Think of it as the Trial of Time, where timing is everything. That's literally Eden in a nutshell up to the point of no return and inside point of no return as well. Gauge your timing with rocks, listen and know where to hide from Krills, don't rush it. You will need at most 100-120 winged lights in my opinion but the more the better but also worse because the more you have the more you get smacked out of you should you get hurt.

i kept putting my first trip off to eden, despite multiple people offering to take me there, because i was scared. eventually i gathered up the courage to go there in january (2-3 months after i started playing). in the end, it's not so bad. if you're scared now you will definitely overcome it - i'm sure link can testify to that too. you can do it!

also I would add - part of being "ready" to go to Eden is being willing to recollect light. if you enjoy the game enough as a whole to run through and pick up/find all your winged light again, then go. After I went the first time, I was about 65 wl (didn't really know what I was getting into) and ofc lost it all and didn't collect ANY ac bc I didn't know. I was over halfway back to wl by the time I stopped playing that night and passed where I was before I went to Eden the following day. it's a LOT less daunting going later, unless you're trying a new tactic. so if you can rock with recollecting wl (assuming you don't get any wing buffs) you're more ready than you think. I also recommend going with people - definitely eases the pressure.

Getting the wing buffs from ancestor spirits is a great incentive to go in with a lot of winged light.

You start off with more winged light after you’re reborn and recollecting is not so exhausting.

I was feeling lonely in Sky today, non of my friends online, no new friends, watching everyone in pairs. But I knew what would cheer me up and that would be helping Moth's in Eden! So I did, but before I went into Eden one of my veteran friends came online and asked if they could join me once I told them my plans. We went into Eden together and found a Moth in need, we guided them into Eden together and I even learned some new tricks from my friend! The Moth ascended before we did, but I didn't mind, I hoped they'll never forget our help. I'm glad I got to have someone help me when I'm the one used to helping, thank you my friend. You have lifted my spirits and together we gave a Moth the best Eden experience we could. I'll never forget this day.

And it was the first time I ever got help in Eden too! So it made me even more happy, when I was a Moth I learned everything alone, I'm glad I finally understand how getting help feels like. Moth's, I hope I'll get to be your fellow guide!

me and my friend were messing around in eden and they managed to piggy me while they were a spirit, we began to float ominously

This made me wanna go to eden only to help moths in distress 🥲

I met someone on their way into Eden and we went in together. I was leading the moth through Eden it was so heart wrenching. I had to leave them behind to go on their own (because there were no more places to light fires to rejuvenate). As I neared the end of Eden, all of a sudden I saw a blue light come up behind me with the moth’s name. I legit started tearing up. Afterwards, at the portal back to the Home island, we met up again!!! I was so happy to see them again

Yes, I went into Eden earlier today with a friend and helped a Moth together. But something told me I had to go to Golden Wasteland, that I wasn't done today. So I went to Wasteland and met quite an adventurous Moth I got randomly named Ribal, they befriended me and I took on the task to guide them, they seemed completely oblivious of the dangers ahead. We went through Wasteland, after some daring moves from the Moth and got Krilled once, we made to Vaul Of Knowledge where we met another pair of Moths! We befriended each other and I guided them to each soul and WL. Soon enough, Eden came around. I didn't have anymore statues to save, but I knew I needed to help those guys. So I got a new record in Moth Eden Guide, 3 Moth's! I hope I gave them a good trip and that they noticed there was nothing to fear. Ribal still made dangerous moves, but as a group we got to Orbit, they seemed to have so much fun!

And I took their hand when the Endless Storm came up, we managed to not burn out until we where pretty far into the Storm, I bet they got a tad confused.

It does get a bit tense when your helping a stubborn Moth, I immediately panic when I notice they are about to get hurt. I just honk uncontrollably and zoom towards them. Gotta admit those Moths are quite fun to be around, the panic is lowkey worth it.

Currently on a WL run so I could be ready for another Eden Guide once I get tomorrows Daily Quest done.

Yeah, I tried to help someone, but considering it was my first time.. I couldn't help much. But I can study movements of things based on sounds. The rocks fly down the spiral mountain(the first part of Eden) when lightning/thunder strikes.

i'm learning how to fly in the first area, but it's pretty iffy and there's no guarantee at any one time that you'll actually be able to make it to the top. i've done it a couple of times though

• i've never odne the normal eden (second area) route, i've always done it by flying. but from videos of the normal route it definitely seems more difficult than flying haha

It's the tunnel area past the krills where all of the winged light are, once you get to the end of the tunnel it will show a popup and ask you if you want to commit to entering the rest of Eden, that's the point of no return. If you click the checkmark in the popup then you can move through to the area with the statues

Hmm, doesn't seem to matter on Switch whether you deep call or not, because you can move while doing so. Or at least, I can. I was able to literally keep my friends lit up just before sand dunes this way.

Although if it matters for context I had 60 FPS on too if that matters at all.

I mean in terms of doing eden fully without shortcuts (I've never actually done shortcuts lol). My #1 tip as someone who actively scouts this area for people who struggle is to gauge the timing. Observe your surroundings. Watch and listen, use your eyes and ears to see and hear clues as to when it is safe to move and where. Eden is nothing but a timed obstacle course if you think about it. If you really put your mind and soul into being patient and being careful not to get the slightest overconfident, you can breeze through Eden with ease.

TL;DR: Eden is 95% timing, 5% luck.

take your time. don't rush into it. don't try flying, you will get thrown back to the start unless you know the specific shortcuts (there are guides on youtube but they can be difficult for new players to pull off). If you want to cut your time a bit, you can bunnyhop during the last phase and you move faster, which can save your skin when you're being pelted with rocks.

I watched a Eden guide and they had some of their light at the end after spirits returned them. So Eden always resets your winged light to 1?

not always! the reason why they had more light at the end is because they purchased wing buffs prior to being reborn! with the ascended candles you get from saving the stone kids, you can "ascend" spirits (like the spirits from the different realms that gave you emotes). for every spirit you ascend, you rebirth with 1 more winged light. people who have been playing since the start can rebirth with around 90 winged light because of this.

if you want to purchase wing buffs, you can do so buy going to the constellation stone at homespace, buying up the nodes of the spirits until you get to the "wing lock". the cheapest wing buffs are from the isle of dawn spirits. you will gain these wing buffs next time you go through the eye of eden.

Hero's Journal Entry for today: Wow, I haven't done one of these in a while, but... just now, I had a very scared moth friend me and take my hand, so I led them into pnr and decided to die with them, however there was a point where they unlocked chat with me just before the endless rain of rocks, and they told me they had 6 lights left. I told them it's okay, it'll all be worth it in the end, and so they finally gathered the courage to move with me. I told them at the point of the endless rock rain that there is no more cover from here on out, and after a few moments, they charged in while I kept them lit up as much as I could with my calls. However, when they lost all their light, they quit the app... I was so devastated and shocked... so I'm in the pity room writing this and about to ascend to Orbit alone all for naught, didn't need to save any statue anyways because I saved them all. I really wasted some of my time for a moth, but it is what it is, sometimes.

Saving people's winged lights and reigniting their flame is always fun, too. Sometimes I'm rewarded for my efforts, like today I had a random befriend me and I helped keep them lit up by deep calling while moving in the endless rock rain part in pnr I'm pretty sure.
