The wind is stronger this update. It's near impossible to jump to the tunnel as a smaller size. You have to walk the little ramps up or risk being blown back to the bottom of the steps.

This did raise the winged light requirement where someone with not many wing buffs have an improbable chance of getting all statues. I did a timed run and it was 75 stars from the start of rock rain to last statue as quick as possible.(not knocked down much, not gifting stars until the last one. Missed it last test run, just straight as possible line.) It's buried in #beta-screenshots-videos

I'd say over 60 wl is good! With wing buffs that is easy to do within the week it takes Eden to reset. 70-90 wl is the amount I usually go in with, there's also the wl inside Eden so you could go in with less than 60. You'd just need to be more careful with the krill on the way to pnr

Bring as many winged lights (levels as you called it) as possible. The more you have, the more statues you can save.

Your wing upgrades (wing buffs from spirits) return when you walk through the door. The normal wings in realms need to be recollected, though.

Yes, Eden is the place to get the Ascended Candle currency to buy those buffs. Bring as many winged lights with you in eden. Each statue saved is 0.25 AC. You can get a max of 15.75 AC a week. (63 winged lights given to statues for a full run) Always bring a buffer since the last 30 statues are behind a very torturous run through a rain of rocks that will steal your winged lights. All realm stars aren't enough to get 15.75 AC anymore since 14.0

Or an idea. The rocks are coded to hit you differently, the bigger rocks eject stars while smaller ones just make you lose light (if you have none, they just smack you)... Code the smaller ones to instead of just smacking you to 'stun' your skykid for a second or two. Make us still run the same speed as before, but each time we're pelted, our skykid actually stops from the pain of being hit.

It's part of eden^^ Save statues, die, get ascended candles reborn, use or save ascended candles, and re-collect all the wings again. The wing buffs you buy are permanent and will add to your wl count. There is a total of 99 wl (including orbit wl) in all realms. With buffs, your wl total can be 171(it's currently the max)
More wl= more statues to save and longer flying + more ac as a result of finishing eden each week

And you can only collect wing buffs in Eden. So any you buy outside of the orbit, you'll need to finish Eden again to get to orbit and collect the wing buffs

All the glowing children - not the spirits - that you collect then level up. When you go through the game you collect them and then give them all away again in Eden. Then you go through collecting them all again!

Wouldn't say 'maintain' but to strengthen yes👁️👁️ They're called wedges/wings. One wing buff (the red locks with wings) = 1 wl. Only the wing buffs in regular spirits and seasonal spirits count. Friendship trees' wing buffs don't give you wl^^

It's after you die and enter orbit (the area full of stars with the social-ish area) You collect ascended candles there. One statue saved = 0.25 ascended candles. Max you can get is 15.75 per week (63 statues)

You lose around 75 stars to reach the final statue in the constant rain, now. Edit: This does not include gifting stars to the statues, that would bring the "rough estimate" to 105 stars lost

I still hope this change isn't intended. This pretty much makes it where newer players cannot get all the AC from Eden in one trip. This would force multiple Eden runs a week or losing out on getting all base wing buffs by around a month, if not longer, for newer players. This change literally punishes newer players (by not having the required wing buffs to complete Eden in one trip) and makes it less appealing for older players to go back due to the slow movement. Two negatives.... what positive result did this change bring?

The reset bug should be fixed. Imagine the almost month in beta play testing all the potential fixes only to be acquainted with all your statues not resetting. Those of us who play tested the fix reset correctly for a few resets, so, in theory, you should reset also. If not, I did find a workaround which is to go into PNR, wait roughly 2 minutes, force close Sky, and re-enter PNR. This would force reset the statues.

I had the final 21 Statues missed this week, thinking the slow PNR run not be introduced into live. Decided to go back in for science and see how many stars would be needed to get to the final statue. I entered the final section of PNR with 93 stars in my pocket. (take out 21 for the stars I gave to the statues, making 72 stars lost to the new slow speed) This is a sped up version attached (full version here: https://youtu.be/pwKQa4rbszk) it took over 5 minutes to get to the final statue and I barely made the final one. If anyone wants proof the new PNR has an inflated star requirement, you are free to download and distribute this video as needed. I have to check it out in three days (already did my rounds this week).
I think the walking animation is all that changed.
If you want to speed up, try skipping (flicking up) or jump running.
You may get hit more though.
I usually get to finish all statues with around 100-120 WL while alternating between jumping, skipping and even marching (walking) to each statue.

Another hint is to angle your path slightly, I find that it helps with getting further, but it forces you to take more steps as you zig zag.

One last tactic though might not be efficient, is to stick to one side and getting the closest statues, then when you are down to around 20 WL, turn around and use the wind to help you back while getting the other statues you skipped.

Today I have experienced Eden with someone else for the first time

The other player was a veteran... and wow what a veteran, it the game is taking so long to actually beat this player it asked me if I wanted to continue on my own

That is a normal feature. It's to prevent an old bug we called "deathloop." The game tries to keep you with other people in your server until everyone dies. You would keep on dying until they died also, and in some bad cases, keep you death looping while they moved on.

Ok so I’ve just done an Eden run.
I run it every week and didn’t notice any difference up until the last section lighting statues.
BUT HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THERE!
At first it’s easier - no problem jumping and no fire rain/fire rocks so it’s easy to light lots of statues - until you get to the last part where there are no more torches to light.
Then it slows right down. No jumping. Just stumbling along. I went in with 158 wings and didn’t manage to get to the last statue.

"weight" is an interesting one -- i don't think anyone is 100% sure, but being smaller might make you feel like you're moving faster across the screen or blown around more easily

i don't think we've got confirmation whether that's just a perception thing, or the physics of the game actually reacting to your size

you should have the same jump height and length regardless of height, but a small character will appear to be jumping a much larger percentage of their body height

It's possible that the slowness is a bug, since no intentional changes were mentioned in the patch notes (only the change to try to fix the bug with not being able to give WLs to spirits). So yes, it's best to submit a bug report or leave feedback about it and it will hopefully be fixed or changed again in a future update

There was a documented change in Beta that wasn't documented in Live that's there. This change could be another undocumented change. The other change that they relayed to us in beta that's now in live is your skykid has a slight blue hue when in orbit to signify you're a spirit, now. Not all changes are relayed to the players, sadly.
