Flying in eden needs some flying experience, yes. Theres good spot to practice the tricks behind aviary gates (where you land as new moth and after eden), open space and you have lots of clouds nearby

You´re never meant to finish the Storm Lock; you´re only meant to give wl to as many statues as possible before dying and starting the ascension process. Whenever you turn it, you´ll always be reborn if you choose to go through the Rebirth Gate in Orbit. :)

You´ll only need to mind the damage tho. 👀 And after rebirth, you´ll need to find all the wl across realms all over again. 😅

yup you could also enter the statue area again but you can only give wl to the statues you haven't given to yet from your previous trip. Statues will get reset at the end of the week depends on your timezone

Each statue is worth a quarter of an AC candle. So 4 statues makes 1 AC

Therefore all 63 statues rescued will get you 15.75 AC when you get to orbit.

Any statues not rescued will remain available to rescue until the end of the week reset, if you judge it is worth it for you to go through again to make sure that you get maximum AC

You can go throughthe crack in wall (easier the taller you are) or by climbing fallen pillar in the same room and jumping through ceiling (easier as chibi)

Alternatively you can piggy rocket with a friend or learn vertical fly

You have to start jumping to get out (in???) in that crack, i wasnt able to do it with chibi mask but i always do it on first on second try without it (note that im quite tall)

I think it has to do with certain percentage of your body clipping through, simmilar to chibi fall

once you learn how to fly up the first part of eden, It becomes a run slide, I visit the first map of eden every day

I actually recommend changing to chibi after you reach the entrance of Eden, I feel that being tall increases the chances of being hit by rocks in the statue map

All sizes have the same hitbox. Maybe with chibi you can feel a slightly better how to align behind rocks but dark water in Eden drains chibi light a bit faster, and chibi with stairs can be a pain. Therefore apart from what certain players are being used to or believe in, there's no overall advantage to small sizes.

apologies for the late ping but my tip for the rocks would be to pay attention to the cues. in the first zone, i've noticed that there's a clap of thunder a few seconds before the rock rain actually starts. look at the sky when you hear the thunder, you should be able to see where the rocks are about to fall. take cover, then move forward once the rain passes over you.

the rocks will follow a red light that moves along the ground in the second zone, if you see the red light coming at you, try to take cover.

the third zone is basically just "hail mary" the rocks don't stop falling, just keep pushing forward and save as many statues as you can

Ugh, I just got to the dune and my Switch joysticks wouldn't respond in game, if I went to the device menu they worked, but back to the game they didn't, I guess this Eden run will be a failure

I just restarted and teleported back to the last light, I was able to move but then as soon as I get to the Dune again I can not move or rotate the camera, this has never happened before.

I had about 40 - 50 WL left when this started, now I moved to my phone and I am able to move but I have too little wing light left to get the last 4 statues.

Buy wing buff from any spirit using ascend candles. You will get the permanent wing buff after eden run. Upgrading friendship level for wing buff does not count.

In addition, in order to get ascended candles, you must rescue the blue thing. There are 63 blue things in total, therefore you can get 15.75 ascended candles per week.

You get 0.25 AC for each statue you save. And you get all your wing buffs afterwards, so it‘s worth to do Eden every once in a while.
The first time Eden also unlocks season spirits and some story/completes 3rd revival quest

Ok skyfam I'm hoping someone can help me with some maths conversions. Am I correct in believing 4WL returned=apx 1 AC from orbit?
I realized the musical shell costs AC(30 I think?) instead of hearts like I thought and I wanted to try to get it this year of possible.
I don't recall how many ac I have now (maybe 5 if lucky) so I'm just gonna pretend I have 0
I'm around 110 WL right now.
So here's where I need help:
If I start with 0 AC and only run EDEN with 110-120 WL to get AC, could I potentially still get the shell before anniversary end?

4 statues does equal 1 AC. The max AC you get from Eden is 15.75 (that's if you collect all of them) however there is four weeks left until the event is over. If you gain 11 AC for three weeks you should have enough to obtain it before the event is over. How much AC do you usually get at Eden?

You need to have 7 or more AC weekly in order to get it by the end of the event. Item cost 33 ascended candles, you need to obtain 28. If you go to Eden for four weeks in a row throughout the event you can get it. However I would not stress too much over this because you can always get it next year, it will come back.

I was directed here from #questions-and-help because I have some questions regarding Eden.
I would highly appreciate if someone could possibly take the time to explain how Eden works with the winged light situation?
Every time I try to look into it online, it mentions losing everything I've earned, but other sources mention getting them back but better? I am a little confused.
My friend & I have been hesitant to enter Eden for over a month now just out of sheer uncertainty toward the situation, as we'd be disappointed to lose all the work we have put in already - but we also hate being deprived of an entire section of game we are missing out on.
We're a couple of older people that don't have tons of free time, so we would prefer not to have to re-earn everything unless that's truly what we just have to do.
Learning how this works would be nice so we can have a better idea on what to expect.

!er im not sure how much you know about eden and what it actually is so spoilers obviously
winged lights are the golden kids you find in the realms, those you do lose after eden and have to go get them back but they go back to where you first found them (if you want you can always ask for a wlr in #looking-for-group-live for help collecting them again)

eden itself gives you ascended candles (or ac, its the pink candles) that you get by giving your wings to statues inside the point of no return (pnr) and they exchange 1 wing given = 0.25 ac for a total of 15.75 each week

you can use that (ac) to buy wing buffs from spirits, you keep buffs after eden but you only get them after eden not right when you buy them (if that makes sense)

you keep your candles, hearts, cosmetics, etc, its purely just your wings you lose eventually you get to a point of not needing to do a ton of wlr (winged light run = specifically going and collecting those winged lights) since ||you are reborn|| with so many wings

my advice is always have at least 2ac for traveling spirits (these show up every two weeks) since they all give 1 wing buff, and over a few months that adds up easily (youre very unlikely to get repeats within a year outside of special visits)
it depends on the time of day/week obviously but people do winged light runs or even eden runs often

Asking Google made Eden seem kinda intimidating.. It made me nervous to even go near Eden. If there was a way people could help us in the future, that'd be wonderful. But we understand if it's too much to ask because we know how much work it is.

Honestly the eye of eden is kinda scary and a coincidence.... The eye of eden portal door looks like king resh if you think hard enough. And heres another thing. That star is everywhere... So my theory is that resh used to rule over the entirety of sky before the elders came,

Thats not it. In the season of the two embers we got to see a glimpse of resh, same with a movie reference in the cinema.

So that leaves the question... will we ever get to see resh before and after getting corrupted?

I did an Eden run last month for the first time in a year. It is considerably more difficult. I think the red rain is bigger rocks. But you also have more water on the ground.

I do find it difficult sometimes, it is hard to make out the blue of the statues, especially when the icon for losing wings is enlarged and covers the area where I am aiming for and the statue should be.

Easiest method for me is to zoom out the camera, icons don’t change size once you see them so it’s a bit easier for me to see them.

so, i havent played sky in a looooong time so i missed season of shattering. but i did try to catch up (especially for the WL), even though i only managed to obtain a few. so my questions are

1. how do i obtain the rest of the WL since the shards change and i dont know what day brings me to what void, you know. so that’s kinda frustrating.

2. when i go to eden, will the WL reset again?

1: You need to await other days´ red shard eruptions and hope the RNG gives you the memory you didn´t take the wl from.

Even though as much as I know, Pingubot actually discovered how can one potentially get a wl from a shard memory that would be inaccessible due to either no-shard or black-shard day; it´s best to ask them for advice as well.

iirc, it's leaving your game open at a cleansed red shard until the next day that would have a red shard (whether an eruption is or isn't scheduled). the game doesn't "clean up" the prior red shard fragments so as long as you don't leave that level, you can teleport to the shard memory

I got a call and then lost track of where I was so I couldn't get the last two statues. Those two are always difficult for me, don't get me wrong I get them more often than not but if I lose focus I forget how much I have turned and then the statues disappear in all the debris. Very frustrating.

Having wedges just returns color to it alright as well as basic shape; it remains torn.

Less winged light there is, either fully charged or not, will remain torn;

If you charge up it regains the color that it was, but it'll still be heavily torn if you are extremely low (I've tested it multiple times too, Spectra is right )

Get all the statues after point of no return for the max prize which is a bit over 15 candles. The higher your wing level the easier it is to get all the statues.

I think the amount I was at before I could reliably get all 63 statues, not accounting for really unfair or unlucky rock rain hits, was 160+. If you get to 180, you should be able to relax and you can have a few unfair rock hits and still make it to the end. Any less than 160 and you have to play super safe and any hits at all could make it impossible for you to light 63 statues. Use https://sky-planner.com/pnr-tracker to keep track of statues and maybe ignore the blue line if you can find a safer path with closer torches to hide near.

There is colorless oob. It is what it says it is, the deeper you go the less textures your skid will have until they eventually become fully white like during orbit ascend. The sky also turns blue.

pffffft i did eden this morning, did a 2h WL run, and then while i was scooping up all those WLs at the end of Eden right before the point of no return, i happened to hit the trigger for the ARE YOU SURE dialogue in midair, and while i was still in the process of selecting no, take me back to Home, my kid drifted forward and hit the loading zone while i still had the dialogue box open.

and then i got locked into doing Eden again.

I was in Eden, and I turned into a blue spirit. And I watched as my body, which was already done, kept getting winged light whacked out of it. It never curled up. It just laid there and got hit over and over. Me and another spirit just watched it, lol.

Any spirits past performance doesnt show on orbit to avoid overcrowding (and potentional bugs caused by that).

you can totally sidestep the entire lineup of spirits in orbit and go through the gate, and still be reborn with the wing buffs they would have granted you

As TheLuca says; only spirits that show up are regular to Season of Abyss. All others you get after the credits roll.

Thank you to the other players who I was helping get to PNR, I was guiding them to lanterns and collecting their light, then as we got to the final krill I received an urgent phone call and I ended up getting battered, so it flipped and they collected my light and relit me as much as they could. I lost one WL and my elder mask, but that is no big deal as I have enough. By the time I got off of the call they have moved on or gone home. Very nice players whoever they were.

what dictates how many candles i get after an eden run? there was once i did eden and got ONE, but today i was very active yet only got ~10, while my fiance got ~15/20 and was a bit lazier than me. i dont understand the math at all 😭😭

each statue that you give a winged light to gives you 25% of an ascended candle. there are 63 statues total, so the most you can get in a single eden run is 15.25 AC

additionally, you can only give a winged light to the same statue once per week.

Has the flight path over last part of Eden changed in last few years? It has been quite some time since I have done it to do Eden or to get the WL's in the hall before PNR. Today I tried like 4 times ... through wall crack, up and across to right side, and each time I couldn't find the spot where the question gets asked if you wanna continue.

Each time I also tried just hoping down to the tunnel opening and was unable to due to invisible barrier. Don't remember that either.

Also tried flying down left side and hit same barrier keeping me from hoping down to tunnel opening.

Any advice/help appreciated.
