but that's like not the whole point, you get ascended candles from rescuing the statues in pnr (last area)

To be specific, there is a lock in spirit menus that need ascendant candles to unlock. Doing this is actually another wing light that gets returned to you after you complete eden. So the first trip to eden is for the story and for the rest of the game to unlock, but sequential trips are to collect asc candles and collect the WL you unlock from spirits

So yes, it's to die, but it's more of a prestige mechanic than anything else

You’d still get wax for each spirit you fly near, but you can’t control that when afk. So you’d get far less wax

and so i let go and enjoyed the atmosphere i liked that a lot

I did eden as a giant for the very first time. Honestly, the whole run felt more... normal than expected.

I can't tell if they shrunk me during ascension, or they made all the kids bigger to match my size

My character is normally a little larger than average. Not huge but perhaps a head higher. So I tried doing an Eden run with the biggest I could get it using spells. I had expected to get pelted by red rocks very badly, but it was only a little worse than normal. I don't really know why.

Also, many spells are disabled in orbit. If they're already started, they are just stopped.

hey so me and a friend just went through eden, and she had... at least 5 more total WL than me when she comes out, she was closer to 200 than I am... but for some reason when we just did Eden together, she has less total WL than I do. she has 76, and I have 79

She's never missed a TS

Nah nah we started around the same time last August, but she was ahead of me and she's NEVER missed a TS

and I only missed the first TS during the Aurora encore, my first TS was confetti cousin

and we haven't missed one since, and we got all 4 shattering wingbuffs

Since I´m kind of sus about the total wl count there, given how I have 71 total wl without Orbit ones. But well, not everyone got every single regular spirit wing buff, thus gonna check all corners. :)

if you want to go alone then tell them, speaking from experience its draining to only ever do something with another person if you want to do it (or just try it) alone
at the end of the day they cant make you do runs with them, and once youre in eden they cant join you

hass eden been more difficult for anyone else? I keep getting completely knocked out by rocks when I'm fully concealed and hidden, losing 3-4 wings every time before I even hit the never ending rock fall, as well as getting caught on the edges and arms of children/walls that typically I would never be caught on? Not to mention once I get hit instead of doing on flip and landing on my feet I'm completely knocked unconscious? I'm not perfect at Eden by any means but this last run had me dead before I even hit the sand when I can usually get all the eden kids in one go with 155 wing levels

Just did my first eden run, solo, in years (cause I didn't play for awhile) and I made it all the way here and gave light to them all, or nearly all, up to that point. I know I got all of them up to the last torch because I was checking my map
But considering I only got 13 ac, I think I must've missed one or two in that final stretch to my end point.

So I am working myself up to attempt my first Eden run, I have had it unlocked for a long time now, but I have been building up courage and trying to get AC through shards to unlock wing buffs. I am going to have to go solo as the friends I have in game are just people I have lit up and engaged with to complete daily quests. Should I be worried with only 105 level cape?

a run can be as fast as 30 minutes, but a First Run i would say at least 1-2 hours, maybe more if you think youll take longer, iirc my first run was roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes? from when i started it to when i was fully done and saw the credits

i would say i was slow though, you could take only about an hour if you already know eden maps and that

no I feel the exact same way!! I can usually get to the never ending barage with still 100ish WL but when I ran this week I only had 60ish give or take. Like I know I'm not the number one ultra precision gamer, but I had gotten pretty good at making sure I was avoiding rocks and timing my movements. I found i kept getting hit through rocks that I'm either fully concealed by or literally sitting and hiding under. I was also haemorrhaging wings in the first area when i would get wings, like losing 3-4 WL every time instead of the more varied 1-3 I used to lose

eden refreshes once a week at sunday 00:00 pacific time! so each week, your progress in eden will be saved, meaning that after you die you can actually go back into eden to save the other statues you didnt manage to do so before, provided you have 20 winged lights.

Idk if ppl do this but personally I don't use the thunder sound to know when rocks are coming in the first part of eden

Because after a few eden run I felt the thunder's timing was a bit off compared to rock spray.
And then I saw that, when looking at the sky, u can see the rocks follow a certain path (like the 2nd area with a red light on the ground)

(I'm saying this cuz I saw some tutorials talking about the thunder sound )

(a bit hard to see on the video but rocks come from the top left, go to where I am and then go in front of me and vanish)

depending on how old the guide tutorial you're looking at, sound cue used to help in that area

from what i've seen doing eden myself,, the thunder sound seems to happen about 5 seconds before the rock rain starts. i tend to rely more on watching the sky than the sound tho

Either fly very high so you’re above the walls, or fly around the area and go in from the back side (there‘s a spot to the right behind the hall with the wls that asks if you want to enter pnr, tap no twice and you’re back on the main path)

This is how I get to Eden - after the crack I use the clouds to gain height then I look for the birds along the right side— where the red light and a ledge meet, I land. Look over the ledge for a triangle type rock and jump down. Go along the wall til the corner and you will get those two prompts. As pingubot said twice for no and you will get popped down to the hallway.

I am sure not the only way in but it has been consistent. 🌟

Hello. Anyone finds current version of Eden annoying? I remember when extinguished child can somewhat freely move in red rock rain. At least with jump spam. But now with one little mistake I can watch how my character losing 10 winged lights straight. More frustrating when I can't doing nothing for 2-3 seconds ubder rain because my character just chilling on the ground.

My biggest problem with Eden is it just too unfair to player. I can accept if I collect less red candles because of skill issue. So instead of scary place it's only mind damage. Oh, and challenge of patience to how long I can playing it "correctly" until I will just run straight to finish this finally.

It´s definitely more geared towards veterans nowadays while just destroying poor moths alright ... and one literally needs to visit it multiple times to not only learn the rain patterns, but to also gain means to get both as much wl and protection as possible. Even if honestly, it´s not skill issue that is the problem, it´s sheer dumb luck.

As at one moment you could be hit and lose like 2-3 wedges, but in the next moment, you´re extinguished after being hit for 7-8 wedges. Which is a YIKES.

Oh, no kidding, even if in Storm Lock, most walls are relatively safe. It´s only one little one beside the torch that´s a problem ... at least until you try going back to the start of it, which turns whole of it (Storm Lock) into endless rain and rock walls don´t protect you as much as they do when there were still clear shard rain differences in distance traversed between the start and the ♦️(do take this with a salt field because currently I´m only 1-2 categories taller than a chibi aka I´m smol).

Are you referring to before shattering?
Eden became way harder with the season of shattering two years ago, when you were crawling everything you‘re extinguished. But at the start of this year, the damage was increased but you don‘t crawl anymore as long as you’re above 10 wl. It‘s still much easier than the crawling before, you can very well get all statues with 150 wl (or even 100-120 wl if you have a lot of practice)

I LOVE the concept, but now the daunting feeling of having to re-discover all that winged light for maybe some new cosmetics doesn’t interest me.

i love the story and concept but idk if i’m really gonna get new story out of re-runs just for more cosmetics. is this true of anyone else?

Winged Light is not the currency you use to purchase new cosmetics. Instead you obtain them by lighting candles in the realms to gather light orbs (wax) and forge candles. Winged Light just represents how much energy you have and also acts as a means of life force while inside Eden. Once it reaches zero inside the point of no return while in Eden, you die and are sent to Orbit. Your main objective before you die is to give winged light to the fallen statues you see around there.

Generally speaking it's best to go in with as much as you can because the more you save the more ascended candles you obtain from the run. You can use these ascended candles to purchase wing buffs from Spirits ( ) in their friendship tree to get more winged light after you are reborn.

i think you missed my point. to get the acended candles you have to sacrifice a good amount of winged light. now after being reborn i have very little and i don’t see a drive to re-stock on winged light, just so i can get acended candles for possible cosmetics to be unlocked and bought. why should i keep doing runs besides the ultimate goal of cosmetics?

Oh, well... That's typical of every beginner to have very little. I can understand the frustration of having to go back and get them all. I have been playing for almost three years now and while I don't go to Eden as much as I used to I actually did go every week it reset purely to buff the spirits so I could get more wings. It's just a goal to set and you gradually get more and more as time passes.

As for cosmetics, not everything costs ascended candles so you won't have to worry too much about that.

I'm not great at this sort of thing but I will tell you that you don't have to absolutely get every single last one.

and if you already did every statue you can care even less about getting hit

cuz ur supposed to lose all ur light to move to the next part

its kinda aggravating tho that it hits me through the protective parts, like hiding behind rocks. i try to get to the end as far as poss and in experience i think the very emd of as far as you can go is the part where its just a small sandy hill bc it NEVER lets me past that part even if i can tell a rock isnt gonna hit me from the sky it still does. and i know its supposed to be that way but sometimes i wish there was an ending where we survive and maybe it could be unlocked my completing all constelations, THEN doing the eye of eden a final time. and it could give like a singular winged light at the end of it that makes you glow like the normal ending does, so it just loops the same way as the current ending. idk i yap so much, and bc i dont have the proper knowledge on how to code or making games/cutscenes (like animating) i wont be able to make like a fanmade kinda ending with unity with lioe animating or something. i yap so kuch its hard to tell if im even awake rn XD

Just in case you don't know this, if you do mid-honks (between small and deep ones) when being in the constant shard rain (or Zone 3), then you'll basically be immune to being stunned because it cancels out the "stunned" animation and thus you'll be able to push deeper before dying. :)

And yes, I do also approve of having an alternative cutscene where we survive Storm Lock, like Light Awaits used to have.

silly question but its been awhile, in order to get the guardian or ultimate hairs and cosmetics, on the wiki it says i have to complete the constellation. do i have to 100% it? as in unlock all the nodes?

you do need 100% completion to unlock elder cosmetics, which is achieved by unlocking everything below a spirit's second wing buff. if a spirit only offers one wing buff, everything from that spirit is required for completion

Done my very first Eden run (at last ) while finishing TLP season (also at last). It's been quite fun, I gotta say! And I think that's thanks to all sort of kind fellow players I've met on the way. I love how we've been all helping each other to go as far as possible Will be coming back in there eventually, although I gotta rebuild my wings as I went from 97 to 16

But still - yayyy!

You see a player glowing white? There is a bug currently that'll turn you white if you use glow spell

Since you can’t take out your candle, can’t join someone in Eden and can’t use spells, you need to Chibi fall into the Eden gate as crab to get through the gate
Return shrine works too, if someone else crabifies you in home

In 2022, rules changed so that only beta-content must be marked as "spoilers", thus this channel is no longer a subject to spoilers.

I believe that it´s still called "spoilers" in order to let people know, especially freshly joined ones, that there are things in the game that are best experienced blind/without prior knowledge and this realm is one of them. Of course, in case you need Eden assistance, you also come here for it as well. :)

Just did my eden run for the week and this is the first I've ever been able to light up all statues. Amazing, It was clutch too cuz I had 2 left and I got close enough and was spamming F lol

I did that too but nobody wanted to "re-crab" me after uncrabbing to open the portal thingy that leads to the 8 person elevator so I could not continue there

I did fly up to the temple with a Manta though

crabs can easily climb up the bell towers so I was able to gather all the wax as a crab

temple roof again was not accessible so that's where I continued as a skyDad as well

You don't remain a crab in flight to orbit unfortunately, but the spell returns once you have collected wing buffs

Hehe, best of luck, even if I suggest you bring a buddy with you, so that you 2 can re-crab each other if necessary.

And that you 2 can re-crab at Home once you set the Return Shrine in a way that you 2 can effortlessly pass the Great Gate without crab-falling through it.
