I love the music and the piano piece when the mother bird shows up it's absolutely heavenly. It was like rivers of silk and wind accompanied by the grace of light falling from the heavens slowly sewn together by the graceful hands of the singing voice and once that same voice falls away from the melody leaving each note elegantly weaving the harmonies between each and every thread. This game is the definition of a handcrafted experience. When the piano piece hits its climax and crescendos into a fortissimo every note that is played has an opulent, lavish flow from a trickle to an Grand roar of blessed music. Once that focal point within the peace had came to a close and it had left its climax the piano used a decrescendo and had returned back to that trickle and it started off from once the singer's voice had fallen silent. In brought feelings of slow nostalgia and as the piano plays few notes as the song came to a close I couldn't help but feel a little bit of melancholy and woe as our adventure was over. But I knew that I'd love to do it over and over

You just gotta time it right. As soon as the rock storm subsides, just keep charging forward and get into the tunnel as fast as you can. You can always go back and get the wl as soon as you've made it to the tunnel.

That's why I always go with chibi even tho it has some disadvantages there

It's not really about knowing how to do eden. If they're new or still inexperienced then finding eden difficult isn't abnormal. Don't worry about knowing eden or not, just practice and eventually you'll get it. If anything just learn the shortcuts lmao, guaranteed to skip krills and everything else

I think it’s kinda funny how we first find Eden terrifying, then it turns into a routine. I find myself skipping and rolling through the rocks like it’s a normal Tuesday, while the moths I run past are fighting for their lives

Even before I started skipping the hazardous parts of Eden, I quickly got adapted to the rhythm of the rocks... What really messed me up in the beginning was going backwards to help others.

It's against the rhythm that you are used to and you need to turn around and check for the next safe spot after lighting them up

I tend to put my torch to a place near them that is safe so they know where to go once lighted up.

ALSO, I've seen many newer players help others and then get hit because they don't only light them up but also try to fill them up, honking until they get hit with a rock to the face

Yes, it is. There are 49 available from regular spirits, and an additional 51 from traveling spirits. Adds up to a nice, even 100 if you've been playing from the point traveling spirits were implemented.

If you're on Playstation, though, it's significantly lower (I think we're some 40 behind on PS?), because it was only released on PS recently, and fewer traveling spirits have been available for us.

Even Switch is lower, but not by anywhere near as much. I think they're missing 5 or so? Something like that.

I play on PlayStation 5. I am now able to get my 11th wedge, but only when I encounter that line of winged lights in Eden. I need, I think, 6 7 more WL to appear in the normal playing area to be able to use the 11th wedge in the normal world.

But if you place it in the middle of a rock rain or shard rain, or even in the vicinity of a Krill's attack, it'll get destroyed and the cooldown will increase to place it down again.

Pretty sure I had just met a toxic hacker in Eden just before PNR, I was witnessing them getting purposefully krilled and taking no damage whatsoever. I went AFK in what I thought was out of the Krill's area and as soon as I returned I witnessed myself getting krilled and I'm just glad I wear my Elder mask while in Eden. I've never met someone who does this but I have now.

I reported them twice, once for suspicion on hacking, and again for targetted harassment because they were purposefully trying to get me krilled and they did. Too bad I didn't report their friend but it's whatever.

Yes, actually there are more disadvantages of being chibi than advantages, they drain light faster in the waters, they get hit less more because since they are small, it's easier to hide behind the rocks

Hitbox is same size. It starts higher if you're taller. But if you're tall, getting hit in the legs counts as a miss. Chibi are shorter so the hitbox ends lower on htem.

I checked out hitboxes with two friends next to a red shard which had rocks circling above it. We could spot times when the tall one of us got hit in the feet and was not affected. So being taller just moves the whole hitbox further up.

Cursed a lot near the end as I could have easily gotten 13 maybe 14, but edens stupid because I was behind a huge rock wall and rocks were literally clippibg through it and hitting me

No, it's not always like that. You only got the Little Prince ending because you had the final quest for the guide of the Season of the Little Prince active. You had to visit Eden and rescue him, so he could go home. Then you were pulled back to the Desert to talk to the Rose.

I’m trying to do eye of Eden for the first time and I don’t understand how to get past the part with all the children you can give wings of light to. I keep getting hit the moment I leave my hiding spot. Any tips?

if it’s your first run, 60-80 is recommended so you should be good!
i also just recommend focusing on the journey for your first run, you’ll be able to get ascended candles by finishing an eden which you can also get by doing a red shard, if that helps you decide wether on not to do it

I just went to Eden and found a moth having a very hard time with it, so they gave me a token of friendship and I tried to help them, but they were pretty persistent in doing it themselves. So I watched them struggle more for 5 more minutes before I offered my hand (and collected their lost winged lights) to fly them over the two Krills circling over the watch tower.

Tgc both increased the damage dealt per hit as well as the crawling. I feel like tgc should’ve chosen one or the other. Want our skykids to crawl slower than a snail? Keep the damage as it was - only lose one or two wl per hit. Increase the damage? NO CRAWLING

I'd honestly have no problem with the crawling if it weren't for the transition animations. Those are what bother me... Getting knocked down, just to watch my Skykid take forever to get up, losing light because they won't, and end up extinguished, in the crawling state and losing wings because they decided to take their sweet time getting up... That's what frustrates me the most. I don't mind the crawling, it adds to the futility and struggle, but I also started playing in the "crawl era", so it's all I know.

I've only been playing two weeks today and I did Eden twice so far and it was pretty bearable when going with someone who knows what they're doing(not saying you don't, just that I didn't know what to do and was led). Both times I went I got 12 ascended candles. The crawling was infuriating but it was so much fun, and I was laughing so hard. I can definitely understand how it would be infuriating if it was a little bit easier before and then they amped it up and it's something you're not used to. The moths that are coming in now don't know what it used to be like so it might be easier for them to adapt right off the bat. Maybe? I'm also playing on PS4 so controls are super easy. Moving/flying around on mobile when I try is a nightmare. 😂

Im pretty sure there are a total of 63 statues to visit, which give players 0.25 ascended candles (AC) each (15.75 total). Eden resets weekly, so the statues you already lit up will stay that way until the reset

Haha, now I remember my last time at Eden, yesterday.
I met up with 6 other people, but one was a loner moth, 2 were each others buddies (one of those buddies was a moth), and the other three somehow phased through the wall and found an alternate route up Eden (how)

I ended up staying near the loner and eventually we buddied at the first pipe. I ended up leading them through and waited for the remaining two.
We all went to the stormlock together, and each of us died around the same area.
We all met up and hung out at Orbit, then I lead us all through. Ended up with two new buddies that day. (The last person didn’t friend me :,>)

There's seemingly no control options and I just sit there until it asks if I want to move forward without the others

This is a frequent known bug. Your best procedure is to leave it as it is and just wait.

The game is actually doing the right thing with you. You are a little blue square following other players around Eden. Unfortunately the camera is in the wrong place. It is a long way above your blue square, so you can't see anything.

Just leave it and eventually your companions will finish Eden and the game will move you on.

So far I had this once in maybe a dozen runs?

but in exchange I managed to drop below the drift area in the flight to orbit (on my very first trip through eden) and wasn't able to fly high enough again to reach the big yellow glowing orb in the sky...

For a good 30min I was afraid to lose out on all my AC because of that and nobody I found online had had had the same issue as I did.

Then I restarted and started the ascending flight to orbit again and this time didn't goof around too much.

I always feel like there is one thing people should know somehow but then again I don't know how to tell it properly without destroying the first experience.

|| If you enter Eden and go beyond the point of no return (where the popup warns you), you will lose all your winged lights and you will need to collect them again AFTER finishing Eden. But THAT IS OK! It's the way things are meant to be. Just try to make the most of it.

i remember moth me being devastated after experiencing eden and realizing my weeks worth of finding wls was basically useless which i think a lot of moths go through

mhmm, i’m glad i didn’t go looking for all of them before my first run but sky is massive to new players and i assume it’d be hard on those who looked for wl for hours
i think the use of ACs could be fleshed out more in the game because as a moth, the things you mainly want to get (at least for most people i assume) are cosmetics which you can’t really get with AC so besides being an emotional roller coaster, eden doesnt serve a very good purpose and sacrifice

It's interesting to think that I played Sky for maybe 2-3 weeks before doing Eden the first time... and I didn't even have all WL back then, I went in with maybe 50ish WL? Hard to remember.

Now when I do Eden on a Sunday evening, it takes me about a few hours to get them all back and I hardly ever miss one in a zone, when I sweep through (looking at you, wl in Forest Brook up in the trees over Grandma entrance)

I think I do one FULL CR a week, usually on a Sunday or Monday and thanks to Wind Paths being safe again, the only WL that requires me to get help is the one in prairie

I mostly play on mobile and I don't don the Chibi Mask for stuff like that as it would mean not wearing my holy moustache.

I think it SHOULD be possible with -1.700ish size without the mask but my fingers and control precision have yet to let me perform this properly.

Eden gives ac which can be spent on wing buffs. Wing buffs make you stronger.
From my experience of doing Eden with others a few times daily. Moths nowadays go to Eden basically on the 1st day of their play or at least within a week.
Absolutely all ppl entering pnr should know what they are supposed to do there. Those who dont do what they are supposed to rarely get back to play the game. I often see people close the game in the middle of pnr and I never see them in game again.
Most people I talked to in pnr or shortly before pnr letting them know what to do stay in game.

Also 20 winged lights requirement to enter Eden is a smart decision. The less wings moth has, the less wings they loose with each hit. They loose 1-2 wings at the most with black rock hits while they literally walk into those rocks. They barely loose any wings when krilled and/or hit by red rocks in pnr. Then 20 wings arent a big deal to collect after they are done with Eden. So they get to experience the game without much to loose. Win, win, win.

I was walking with them the whole time from the very beginning. No one was their friend, people were helping each other up but thats about it. Once again people shouldnt assume someone brought them in and traumatized them without having base to it. Its sounds offensive.
I myself always release hands with moths im leading before pnr letting them do their own choice. Some do go in, some dont. Some want to follow me inside, some dont. Its always their choice, not mine. Today i was in pnr helping a moth when another one showed up there. We lit each other and she kind of followed but she didnt give wings. So after a while i did a sakura table spell and said hi and please give wings to statues. She said she was afraid, got up and took off while i was still typing words of encouragement and explanations. She proceeded ahead on her own and in the end lost all her wings and died. Was she scared? Yes. But she chose not to be helped and i cant help people when they refuse help. Its their choice and they are entitled to it.

Hehe- in Eden (Iv've only gone once so far), my team and I kept getting 2/3 KO'd. So, two would get knocked down, and the last would go back to pick them up. Only to also get knocked down, while the ressed person ALSO tries to help.

It was also hilarious how many times it happened, namely by the rocks.

Tested on eden run to see any differences:

1. If no statues are saved, then the cutscene of skykids emerging from statues won't play at all
2. If there's statues saved, but if the first set statues are ignored, then the cutscene is played normally with the one furthest from the diamond emerges

Tbh, Eden’s kinda easy for me. On my first run, I somehow lead a person through until the end where we got krilled by the last dragon and got separated.
But nevertheless, easy. Just time your run after the rocks, wait until the krill pass by, go directly for the exit so the last krill will lose focus, and boom. You’ve made it to the trickier part: Storm Lock. I’m still tryna figure out how to zigzag in the rain since the need to jump is by impulse.
Who else agrees that Eden is easy?

I agree, to an extent. Had very little trouble with pre-PNR, but that's mostly pattern recognition, which my mind excels at. Only issue I had was getting hit by minor rock clipping. I had a bit of trouble in PNR on my first run, but still eeked out around 10 candles. Since then, the lowest I've ever gotten is, I believe, 13, and that was a bad run where RNG kinda messed me over. I noticed the patterns pretty quickly (those sounds cues are annoying), and was able to navigate relatively well. Gotten to the point where I'm zipping around, and I can almost get all statues with 130-150 light.

I'm not a casual gamer, though, and have a lot of gaming experience. I'm nowhere near even remotely calling myself a pro or anything like that, but I'm definitely experienced enough to make Eden far less of an issue.

I'm still probably a moth as I started just over a week ago, but I've already gone up and down eden about 6-7 times (and more via shortcut) due to curiosity and trying to help other moths. I was able to clear it without too much difficulty the first time (I found patterns quite quickly and that stuck). I was chilling at the shortcut area in the first zone where a couple of other people were practicing shortcutting, and then a group of moths came. One of the people brought them up to the top (while I was trying to look for them not knowing they already were going up) then I joined them and we brought them through Eden. There were 3 total at the beginning, lost 1 at the start (probably disconnected or had to leave) then took the other 2 with the veteran up to the pnr. It was pretty chaotic coz they kept letting go of hands and one didn't hold hands but we all got there in the end (I didn't go to pnr as I had already gone earlier in the week)

It's getting easier already and it's the second time I've ascended, both this week as I've started last Friday. Honestly there's a weird part of me that finds it refreshing + I'm a bit impatient to unlock stuff, but hey this run I managed to gain and spend 20 candles for a mask, was left with 1 candle but it was worth it.

I do wish it renewed your little candle boost(? Those arrow things), would certainly make it more appealing than it is currently

started playing on january 1st, finally made it to eden today. i told myself i had to go after i’d found 100 lights. went in completely blind, knowing nothing. i was alone and i got stuck a few times. i think it took me an hour. i didn’t light every statue but i got so close! in the end i was being hit by rocks and huddled up next to the only candle in sight with about 6 lights remaining and i thought “how am i supposed to do this? it’s impossible, i’m going to die” but i realised that was okay. it was okay to say i’d done my best and i could let go. so i ran to give a final light to one last statue before i ended up in the abyss. rebirth is so pretty this game is really special and full of so many lovely lessons

it depends a lot on a few factors despite skill

• did someone pre-light all the lantern spots to refill
• do you get lucky with the hailstorm in the last section
• are you alone

going with friends helps a lot or banding together with strangers

My best setup is Im alone, period lol I dont light all lamps and those that I do light Im fine lighting on my own. I have an established route that I always take, where everything is timed. I usually dont get hit before I reach next to last lamp in the 2nd part of pnr. I light 3 statues by the left side after that lamp without being hit if im lucky. Then its all luck. Usually im able to do all statues and have a few wings left with 120 wings and an elder mask (2 rock hits saved).

@old halo mask helps with krills (one hit), all sorts of crabs, shards and Eye of Eden red rocks. Black rocks on the way to Eden break it at first hit and ppl say can knock off wings right away. I almost never get hit by black rocks so I couldnt check. Red Eye of Eden rocks hit you 2-3 times before mask breaks, its a huge help! I love my elder masks and always use them in Eden.

Back with another Eden moths story:

Just got my first portable light source so I was just testing it out in Eden... then came across 2 moths. I was planning to sleep but I just didn't want to leave them so I just went with them. One of the most was by far the bravest (and most reckless) moth I have met to date. I had to save them a lot XD. The second moth was more timid and just followed me, but also followed me when I went to try save the first moth (and also tended to get hit alot doing that) so 90% of the time I was chasing after the first moth then having to chase after the second moth then the first one again. It was a wild and hectic journey but they got there in the end XD. I swear moths are a different breed of chaotic but ngl that kinda just makes them endearing.

Interesting thing I have noticed.
Yesterday was practicing my jumps/fly to skip first part of EoE. Some were successful, more were failures. Due to the fact I’m relatively new player I do not own any light source prop, so was hoping for anybody who would be around, to light me up.
All the players were ignoring me, passing me by. All of them had more than 8 wedges. I was even honking like crazy, or should I say, like a moth, only to get their attention.
Only one player stopped and helped me get lit. Guess who was that?
Exactly. Moth with 4 wedges. I immediately offered him to become friend, grab his hand and helped him get through to pnr.

Also, with regards to how much damage the red/black rocks do, you might want to ask some of the folks who regularly run Eden, like Link and OlgaSky! They're more likely to have a better feel for the specifics thanks to all their experience

I run around Eden often to drag moths through so I can give some insight on the threats:

Krills: WILL one shot you and you will lose winged light.

Rock Rain: They deal a lot of damage, but will not one shot UNLESS you have already lost your light (I think at least). At worst, one hit will drain all your light, and a second hit will cause you to lose wing light. However you can still survive more than 1 hit without losing your light.

Polluted Water: Works like the water in Wasteland. It will slowly drain your light.

Red Rock Fragments: These are the tiny fragments on the ground (not the big ones). If you stand on it it will slowly drain your light like polluted water.

Red Rocks: Will deal a lot of damage if you walk into them (and will knock you down if you do I believe). I don't know a lot about them but this is from me crashing into one once.

Wind: I'm adding this in coz I see so, SO many moths trying to fly in Eden and getting blown away. There is wind in Eden (and it gets strong in certain areas).

First Section

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT try flying at any point (let alone up the mountain) in the first section of Eden. Try to also jump as little as possible. You will get blown back and risk falling down the mountain and having to climb it again (There is a way to fly up the first section of Eden but you have to know how to avoid the wind and wind barriers which is difficult to do.)

Second Section

Rock Rain Area
Unless you know how to fly through the wind, again, DO NOT try to fly above the first rock rain (jumping is fine here).

Krill Area
The area with the krills is more forgiving. The wind here is weaker. I still suggest you don't unless you are at thr giant pillar (you can fly over the gap). Make sure you switch your flight mode to glide instead of flap.

Rock Rain + Krill Area
The area with both rock rain and the krill has strong wind again. Don't try flying up it until you are just short of the tunnel. You can fly into the tunnel but again make sure you switch to glide mode.

PNR ||(Point of No Return|| Area
Don't fly. The wind here is strong and it's just safer not to ||(because the Red Rain can knock you out of the air)||.

I think I need a guide to learn how to be a good guide. The moff ignored the statues and walked right into the eye, thinking that is the only goal. I should have waited for the reset so they could watch me light them. 😱😳

It's not your fault Because there's so little guidance provided in-game, many moths view the big, glowing red crystal as their goal. They may not notice or understand the fallen statues, even if you lead by example.

But that's okay - just do your best! Encourage them with emotes, be patient, and support them as best you can through the journey ^^

Its really difficult to get a moth to listen to you as its so difficult trying to communicate what to do/what not to do without text + they don't know what to do in the first place. What I've tried to do is call/spam call to grab their attention and repeatedly point to a statue. Once I see them light it I use a celebratory emote (I was thinking the confetti one would work well but I don't have it yet). Hopefully it will draw their attention but that is the best I could think of.

I'm not sure honestly as I've never paid attention to the amount of damage I receive from these things. I also never have touched a red shard crystal in Eden but I have touched the ones from the Shattering event and if you get stuck in them they deal constant damage over time but your mask can still protect you.

When you are trying to drag 3 moths up Eden and one of them keeps falling off and getting krilled in the second part of the second section and you have no candles to friend them and take them up.

Thank God I wasn't the only person trying to drag the trio up. The other person went down to get them.

So the point of dying/rebirth in Eden is all your winged light gets converted into ascended candles. Afterwards you can use those ascended candles to buy things like wing buffs (will increase your wing power permanently), upgrade friendship trees, get resizes, elder masks... etc.

So, I'll just outline the lore of Eden (so the whole losing winglight makes more sense) Spoilers though.

||The concept of Eden is to "save the lost children" (who are the statues you find at the very end of eden past the poihnt of no return). By this, you also have to sacrifice your own life (the game's theme is about giving without expecting anything in return). So in short, you give the wing light you have collected to the statues, until you have no winged light left. (due to both giving to statues and to the elements). After this, you die and travel to the afterlife (known as "Orbit") before getting reborn. There is no way out of the point of no return (will get to this more later).||

Any wing light you lost will return to their original place from where you collected them (so you can go collect them again).

Once you clear Eden, you are rewarded with ascended candles [Spoilers: ||The amount depends on how many statues you managed to save before you died||]

Like Korv said, ascended candles can be used to by a lot more things. E.g. Ascended candles are needed to break the limit on spirit's and friend's friendship tree, which is needed if you want to get a lot more stuff (most of the really good items are locked behind ascended candles). Also, once you unlock a wing buff (the item on the friendship tree that costs ascended candles), every time you rebirth you will rebirth with an extra winglight for every wing buff you have unlocked.

There's a point in Eden where the remaining light shrines are not protective: you get hit by rocks even if you're right next to them. You just have to head for the remaining statues on the way to the end and ignore everything else.

I have a question. I know there used to be a glitch where if you didn’t save statues 38 and 39, then you went home and then returned to Eden, a glitch would happen where the rock rain in zone 3 would stop. My question is does that glitch still work? And if it does, where are statues 38 and 39?

The glitch does not work anymore. You can no longer go Home past the PNR. Only by closing the app, which I believe resets Eden's status (not the statues), so the glitch probably won't work then, either.

If you lose all your wing lights outside of PnR, you get sent to the Pity Room. It's a black void that contains a single wl. Grabbing that wl gives you back your cape with a single flap, and plonks you back into Home to continue playing.

It's behind the dressing rooms on the water, you can see it when you fly up when it's daylight

The distance isn't that far actually but getting there is a pain

There isn't a wl, you don't recharge when walking, (so bring a recharge item) but it's a pleasant room to relax in
