Reset is every Sunday. And that only applies to the statues - you can go in any time, but it might not be worth going past PNR until the next reset if you’ve been that week.

However, because yesterday was before reset, you can go up if you feel prepared to.

I am terrible at timing and dodging. Would you suggest flying over the Rock-Storm areas can be useful? Seeking advice before diving in

If this is your first time at Eden, then no, I wouldn’t recommend it. Those areas tend to be windy, so at best, you’ll be stuck in it and flung into the nearest wall. At worst, you’ll be flung into the rocks.

Many vets do learn to fly and circumvent the rocks in the first place, but that’s a lot easier said than done, and I’m not one of those ones who can actually do it.

If it helps, though, the rock section in the very first area can be skipped - in that big old pit in the bottom, there’s a stone ramp, of sorts, at the far side that can be climbed up to bring to you the end of it.

For the rest of it, though: play with volume. That’s nigh essential. When you hear the loud thunder, that’s when Eden’s about to fling rocks your way. Take it slow, and watch where the rocks fly so you know where you can take shelter. And always listen for the thunder! (Sound cues will also indicate when the rocks are ending, though I can’t describe that noise.)

I got hit at the second rock storm which comes after the 3-krills area... They hit so hard, I freaked out and TP home immediately, didn't even bother picking my WL lol. And I never went back since Some other players have advised that we can fly over

Ah, yeah, that one is just really rough in general. I find I have problems with it even to this day sometimes.

Do you play mobile or Switch? I largely play Switch, so it could play a little differently for me.

That… might be a little tricky. If you can run/jump fine, it might be possible, it’s just that you need nimble fingers to follow this exactly.

For me, whenever I’m going through that last area, I:

-Wait on the raised part of the pipe for the storm to go past.

-Hide behind the first slab.

-Move to each cliff, one after another, whenever I have a free moment. I light the torches there, too, in case I need energy.

-Once the storm is clear, I go out to the second pillar: there’s one closer to the third hideaway, but the one just a touch further out gives me more time to run while still guaranteed to be safe.

-The krill’s patrol route can be hard to work around; however, I’ve found that making a mad dash for the exit whenever the rocks end when the krill is just past the wall to the left works best. (That wall is a trap - I’ve got rocked and krilled so many times there.) You can turn back for the WL if you need once you hit the passage, and I’d recommend doing that unless you’re really confident.

For mobile, the general route remains the same, but I’d recommend maybe stopping by the wall behind the red crystal (provided you have enough WLs) before moving onto the slab. The last krill might be tricky, as admittedly, the way I typically do it is the only way that’s worked out for me so far.

So my friend just helped me (and a few other moths) through Eden for the first time earlier today.

I'm sad to say I accidentally ruined my experience due to the fact I had the last quest from the little prince active. So things got quite a bit confusing with the mix of cutscenes.

Will the normal cutscenes replay on my next visit to Eden?

i just finished an er with this moth and y’all it was so interesting omg lol (long ramble warning)

so i was planning to do eden just to get and spend sun accession candles and i meet with this moth that was kinda calling for my help tho it’s only my second time doing it and i ain’t never helped someone before

so then we make it to the beginning path and i think they was tryna clip us through a wall somewhere but kinda failed

Does any1 have tips for crawling through eden? I experienced my first crawling experience yesterday and it was.... not ideal. Is it possible to get all the ascended candles like that without using spells? I'm a bit of a sporadically returning veteran and while I have a good amount of ascended candles, I just wanna prep for when they run out or friends need encouragement.

The crawling is a new update, there's not much you can do once you get into the crawling position. It helps to have you and friends with lighting props, there just needs to be some sort of communication to make it work. I've seen multiple people including myself be able to get all but the last statue, without friends, props or spells. I haven't seen anyone get all personally but I don't doubt it's possible with near max wl

I end up crawling all the way from the first or second lamps in the last area, so I get hammered and dont get more than 12–13 wings these days. How do you get to the second-last statue? Btw I usually go solo but if I help a moth they will die before that area anyway.

What do you mean more than 12-13 wings?
You just have to be patient, fully recharge at every shrine, watch the timing of the rocks and move as soon as they stop. With the crawling I've been able to get all but the last one solo, without props or friends. I've only been to eden twice since the update and I found it generally easy each time, not harder than the previous eden, just more annoying with the crawling. You need to have a decent amount of wl as well

I do fully recharge and do what you mentioned above but once I start crawling I cant get a lot more statues and I loose wl quickly. So it sounds as though you manage to get through without crawling!

When you get put into the crawling position, head to a nearby light source and get all your light back, unless there's one at the other side of eden in which case don't bother. Light up every shrine incase you'll need to go back to one^^

I do end up crawling, there's no way to avoid it in the end I'll get to the very last shrine before crawling, I get left with 50ish wl if I remember right and can get to the 2nd to last statue

In the last area, going back to a light source seems hopeless. The distance between lamps and statues is so big, too far to crawl. I just keep going forward but cant do much.

When your light goes out, you're forced to crawl. This happens outside of eden as well after getting hit by a krill or are under the rain when your light goes out

I did my second Eden run yesterday and it went great so now I'm recollecting all the winged light which is all good fun but I'm at the area in sunny forest where you go down the tunnel. For some reason I always get motion sick in the whole area after, even just thinking about it I'm getting dizzy 😅 . Not complaining about the design or anything, I actually feel really bad because it's such a beautiful area but I can't handle it well at all. Im hoping it'll get better once i learn the area well enough. The only other place this happens is the wind tunnel area haha. I'm just like I deal with this irl so it's not tgc's fault at all, I just think it's kinda funny how my brain is like "uhhhh nope" and my heart is like "ooo pretty".

I don’t know what this qualifies under but I need help with finding out when Red Shard events for the current season go live? I’m not sure where to get this information, nor do I know when red shards actually appear. Every event I stumble on ends up being black shards

1. crawling mechanic: after taking enough damage to lose WL, continuing to take damage will put your character in an extremely slow crawling state until you reach a fire source/player (deep honks won't recharge you anymore) or until enough time has passed without losing WL

2. increased WL loss rate: if your WL count is over 60, you'll lose more WL per hit while extinguished, up to 6 at a time (IIRC)

3. map change: the first half of the endless rock rain area has been changed to a periodic rock rain area, albeit with faster cycles and less shelter. here, rock waves are preluded by a red glow on the ground, since the audio cues are harder to hear. watch out for these! there are some lamps in this section, so make sure to stay close to them to preserve as much WL as possible

i dont know who at tgc designed the crawl mechanism but i want to fight them bc i just had the single worst eden run EVER. of my 162 wl, i only managed to give away 40 of those. 40. im so mad. like this was genuinely worse than the First time i ran eden

Very moth question.
When giving winged light to the statues, does it matter if it's "natural" or "buffed"?

Ex, if a person went into Eden with only wing buffs (not ideal obviously), could they still give light away, if they survive long enough?

All the wl is the same, only difference between wing buff and regular wl is where you get them from. So no it doesn't matter

Heya! Does anyone here have any tips on becoming more confident with getting through the place of no going back in Eden? I’ve gone through it once with a friend before and went really well my first time but I feel almost too scared to go back though I really want to get some more ascended candles

I'd say don't rush and just take your time. Also, don't feel too bad if you don't happen to light a lot of statues as you can always just go again to light up the rest (though make sure to gather WL before you go again). Buy recharge potions and fast recharge spell (Forgotten Ark) if you need 'em. Don't be afraid to face endless rock rain at the end as it is inevitable and just light up as much as you can. Ultimately, just don't rush yourself and you're all g

three year veteran here! in my experience, the best way about getting more confident in eden is experience. even if you mess up horribly and only light five statues, you still did eden! it takes time and practice to get good at the trickier bits, but my advice is go slowly and try to light up as many shrines as possible. run-jump to get to each statue and hurry back to the nearest flame to recharge! you’ll be a pro in no time

lol i gotta say, never in my life have i seen a game destroy their game play so badly, new eden is the worst gaming experience EVER I had to sit through, crawling speed is slow and constantly losing light from being unlit AND losing 5 everytime i get hit: do the devs hate their own game or something? Worst season imo, updated Eden/how losing your light works, how Eden spreads outside of it, it was meant to be the final challenge for moths who play through the game knowing nothing and learning as they go. Now I just don't wanna do Eden I did once a week before, I can't even light all the statues anymore and I have over 170 wl :D

Yep, its a bit like that. I have 177 wings and I have to crawl most of the last area. I only get 48–53ac but I used to get all.
For me the significant difference is that for the first time in a year of playing Sky, the spell is broken. When I get slammed and can only crawl for such a long distance it becomes silly. I have no engagement with the game at that point. Thats a big shame because its Eden, the pinnacle of the game.
I hope this update is only for the Season of Shattering and they reverse it when Shattering finishes.

As long as you pass "the point of no return," you will have the same ending. If you lose all your lights before crossing that threshold, (there will be a message saying "there's no turning back beyond this point") you will just go to the pity room like losing all lights in any other realm. The main difference is, the more you progress in the point of no return, the more AC you will earn.

Always worth. When you get more wings, you get more ascended candles. Those ascended candles given to spirits are PERMANENT wing buffs until either lost to krill/rain, or by Eden. At the end you get them back from the spirit when they give you theirs.

Hate the changes in Eden! The wind is ridiculous now and the crawling after you get hit by rocks or a krill make it impossible to stand up or catch any stars before they disappear or even to safety because you move too slow. I’ve been playing for years and it’s making me want to quit playing and help others get through Eden. I have new players wanting to quit because of it.

Thanks! I have a personal ritual where I strip off my hair and mask before being reborn. It started with also changing to default pants and moth cape, but I’ve done different variations over time. But this is one of my favs.

Imo it was really frustrating

The crawl mechanic is really annoying because if you're a solo player and you get knocked out far away from a statue there's nothing you can do

I started the last segment of Eden (the home stretch part where the falling rocks previously didn't stop) with around 90 light and then lost over 40+ of them because I couldn't make it to a statue

I just don't think it's very fair in my opinion for people who are going through Eden by themselves

Or don't have any recharge potions

If you go to Eden more than once in a week, you can only save the statues you missed previously. But Eden resets every Sunday, so if you go in the next week, you can save all the statues again.

First, it started with my first Sky friend who raised me into what I am today, and now it's the moth I, myself have raised.

I taught that moth everything my first Sky friend knows, it feels so surreal to realize I am passing on for another future. This is the game. The game that keeps on giving, and keeps you with the best kind of humans out there.

So I took on another Eden run today! Accumulated quite the party, too. We lost a moth on the way, but we still managed to get to the end with a grand total of four of us. Poor moths struggled a bit, but we got them there in the end.

I always forget to take pictures, so the video at the end was a last-second thought of, "Oh, wait, heck, maybe I should take a group video just for the sake of memories rather than forgetting as always."

Every time I go through Eden nowadays, though, I actually find myself wondering if anyone on Skycord is joining me for the trip.

The way I do it after learning this twice the hard way is to not light any torches and run jump towards statues.. if you see the red spot light avoid that but dont stop keep moving around TvT

Slow and steady on the first part, Run like the wind on the second, accept your fate and crawl towards the end on third

@tiny dirge when you fly in Eden, you're still going to PNR
you can't fly over the storm part, that defeats the whole purpose of the giving wls

but as for going to PNR you just want to try and stay above from the path, but still going the same way
there's clouds off to the left, and birds on the right
doesn't matter which side you go, but left's usually for wl while right can drop you right next to the "there's no turning back" box

It’s got its pros and cons. The crawl mechanic makes it more difficult, and you have to relearn where some of the statues are, but on the bright side, there continuous rock rain doesn’t start till further in (although the rain becomes more aggressive at the point where it used to become continuous) and there are recharge shrines you can light extending almost to the sand dune at the end.

there are guides on YouTube, but when you get to the second area, go to the left side of the wall (probably bring fireworks staff or anything that light areas up)
go to the triangular crevice (it's right beside the entry point) and just jump
it might take a while to go through but you're through once your camera angle is stuck to the back of your Skid
from there on fly towards the clouds and try not to fall down into the void

I was gonna try to do oob to pnr (not go in just learn it) (by myself) and picked a moth on the way lol
I couldn't go into pnr with them but I gave them tips, and then I tried to teach them hwo to get the dangerous wl and I got hit by a rock and died (but didn't lose wl) and then I panicked turn off device

Now they're gone, I can only hope they went into pnr safely....
I think if I see them afterwards I can full wlr them (they only had 5 wing lvls so hopefully I can get them some more wl!)

Your wings will get stronger by buying wing buffs from spirits

The currency for wing buffs are ascended candles and the prizes are bigger the further into the sky word (for example: 1 ac for a wing buff in isle of dawn, 4/5 ac in vault of konwledge)

You can buy wing buffs from both the regular and travelling spirits

It's up to you, if you want to get more ascended candles faster then going more than once could help with that, even if you don't have a whole lot of statues left to save it may still be enough for a couple of ascended candles. But it's also fine if you only go once a week, but it may take you longer to save up AC. It just depends if you feel like recollecting your WLs multiple times a week before going back again. Also we do have the shard events now that can help you get more AC sometimes when there are red shards, so that's something to consider as well.

Depends on how old, there were quite a few different changes throughout the past year. There was a point where you wouldn't fall as often nor crawl, you could also jump freely in the eden rain. You finished eden faster but had a lot of wl left over, a lot of people ('vets') complained that it took too long to die, from there frequent updates to eden started happening. I wouldn't say the current eden is easier, it looks harder but personally the time it takes to finish eden is around the same. The crawling is annoying but I don't think it made eden majorly difficult

Yeaa it's a struggle in the later parts
If you have at least 60 wl or so at the last lantern you should be able to get at least one of the statues past the dunes? It was enough when i was recording speed route the other day, anyways

If you're careful in the earlier sections, you should be able to crawl in the dunes just fine with 120 wl

I realized there was a new thing where you get shards on you when you lose your light, and idk how much i like that personally but the point of no return seems harder for me? maybe it's because i'm not used to it, but i can't save as many statues either...

Just tried to do my first solo eden run disguised as a moff, got no pictures unfortunately, but I did end up besting someone I'd lit at the pit of doom and then ubering them to pnr, very entertaining

I tried to name them "help", named them h3:p instead lmao
