yeah, possibly. i do think that the disappointment will be shared though once the season just.... keeps going on and on with the same quests leading to little revelation about Eden until the very end with no buildup. one thing i predict for sure is gonna happen tho is confusion about the shard events. every channel is gonna get flooded with "wheres todays shard" like 24/7 during the first week i bet lol

(non beta tester) i personally don't mind the vagueness of Eden in itself, they could have way more ideas for lore in the future to come with future seasons, i'm alright with the glimpses we get and, for me personally, i can get a bit of a grasp as to what all may have happened to make the Sky kingdom become what it is today, and the fact that it comes on the 11th which is also my b-day lol

Question, how are we supposed to complete the fire trial if you are unable to get past the first few candles before dying and getting sent back to the beginning because the candles don’t keep you charged

All the shards with calm music are black shards with normal candle wax and no damage from smaller fragments. Still summons some crabs but the normal ones

With the medium difficulty shards its the violin like music and the shards are now glowing red. The shards give you up to 2 ascended candles, and it might be a few amount of crabs.

Aaaand the hard difficulty is reflected with the more frenetic music and much more red shard fragments and much more red crystal crabs. You get up to 4 ascended candles.

I think a lot of it was lack of communication from the devs, and the fact that we tested the final quest in beta, and usually that doesn't happen for seasons before this. We had no idea what was happening with shattering after all.

I think on Android you can just join the beta whenever you want. On iOS there are a certain amount of slots. I don’t think they cleared and reopened the slots for iOS recently though. I’ve been an iOS tester for a long time.

In beta they appear every 30 minutes.
If the most big shard is bright red - it will complete seasonal quest after removing all the datk plants until the meditation circle appears.
You meditate, finish the second half of the event and season guide will appear qhere the shard was. Speak to them to get into the dark room and complete the quest.

If the shard is simply black - it gives regular wax and won't let you finish quest , guide won't appear.

The thing with how abd where they appear - they fall somewhere in daily quests realm. You just gotta find it by exploring.

It is a kind of nice feature if you only need a few AC for the TS or for spells or something and you don't want to do a full Eden run, but I don't feel like it would be something many people would do daily like the geyser and Belonging table events

In my experience, your carried friend does not detach. You still lose light when getting crabbed, but it seems red crystals aren't as dangerous while having a friend on your back. I'll have a video of it shortly from Grandma's Shard perspective. Taking a little bit to upload.

Do a shard event: 10-30mins = 2-3.5 AC, 0 Candles
Do an Eden run: 20-40mins = 10-15.75 AC, up to 150ish wax.
WLR after Eden run: 45-90 mins: up to 105 WL, 10-20 candles acquired during the run.

I think Eden run combined with a WLR would be a better use of your time.
Edit: note on "up to" you don't need to get all realm WLs during this run if you don't want to or need to.

I personally only collect until I'm at 10 or 11 wedges. (getting the extra 30 depends on my mood when doing the run.) You can get anywhere in the game with 10 wedges and once you get all base spirits completed and a few TS wing buffs, you can skip over half of the pain in the butt to get locations, like Ark, Abyss, etc. I only WLR pre-enchantment WL (minus Eden and Dawn) and still hit 11 wedges.

WLs don't need to be collected on the same day. I've done realm WLRs on the daily realm before and get them all in 5 days. (Not that bad to split the WLR that way, just grab them during your daily runs of wherever you go and keep a mental note of which zones you've collected from so far) A few days not having 11 wedges is better than the shard events. imho.

If you do eden (assuming you get all 63 statues despite the crawl mechanic) that's 15.75ACs and then go do a major shard (max 3.75 that we know of), you can theoretically get 19.5 ACs. Wonder if anyone's gotten more than that

there’s no hard cap for normal candles, only a soft one. the reason you cannot get more than ~21.5 candles (without quests, starting from empty candle) is that there simply isn’t enough wax in the realms for it

It’s not that shattering is absolutely bad it’s just… feels like it’s missing some crucial details and so repetitive with its events… making it somewhat boring

The light side seems better because the first ultimate you get is the manta cape so you will have stuff to match with it
