Okay feedback so far, the season is a really good step towards something different and I like that finally eden is more than just a thing in the background. Shards happen every 30 minutes. I think they last for 10 minutes after showing up. It is possible to do both Shards in one go if you're quick, but you don't have to.

one thing- the crawling effect in eden is painful 🗿 its so excruciatingly slow and not to mention getting to even one statue practically takes like almost all of your wings

🟡 We’ve updated the way that avatars react when they’ve lost all light. Other nearby players will see updated options related to lending aid. Calling still recharges, but it will not recharge players whose light is completely extinguished—restoring light will need light, not sound. 🕯️

Doesn't even necessarily need to be a lot of light. I'd be happy with just 1 per plant: not enough to be effective for farming, but enough to relight your flame if it's out.

I figured it out!!!!!. The quests. The first 2 so far seem to just be burning plants. You just need to burn x amount then quest is complete. Basically your filling a quota. I got quest 2 completed!!!!
P.S. i have no clue how many times you have to burn plants, i would just say keep going till it says you're good.
Edit: You cannot go past quest 2, quest 3 isn't available for 2 more days.

The crawling is dreadful. Much prefer how it is in the live version, slowing down but not to a snail's pace.
Kinda sucked to lose a wing in bird's nest when it landed in a cloud and I was too slow to get to it and unable to actually get to it because it was in a cloud.
I do like that we take on the look of the statue kids outside of pnr with the blue rocks sticking off, and that the statues in pnr and us are in new stances and kinda protecting each other. Reminds me of the sad-ist animation and how eden was shown there.

So... I already did the quest in the nest and succeeded. Then I burn the dark plants in the cave, sit down, chase the floating jellyfish light, and got teleported to sanc oob. Hmm... Now I'm curious to see what has changed with the last three statues right in front of the Eden Diamond in PNR. They're the three that's in extreme close proximity to it, and the last one is so far from the last two, that they're very easy to miss. They're the closest to the Diamond out of the rest. (I almost missed it in my last Eden run because of how far it was), but interestingly enough, while it's the closest, but it's not directly in front of it. That one is actually at the right side...

The reason I ask is because I know players already have behavior to purposefully go around tedious burning (lighting all prairie bells, burning all other darkness is graveyard to trigger big plant)

If these events don't benefit helpers in some way, I am concerned that it may end up like the assembly quests. I think things will be better because some people may not want to go to eden for AC, but older players who have higher cape power who would be extra helpful in these quests, don't have to get AC very often. I've gone months without going to eden after going on a Sunday and Monday back to back. To me, running eden would be faster than only getting a few AC for an event that can still take some time.

I could tell the first time I did one that it would pretty quickly get annoying. In my opinion, there are too many dark plants, and they burn too slowly

what worked for me is clearing the cave for the first quest (restart if it doesn't work), and then clearing the bird nest for the second quest (also restart if it doesn't work). if it's not working then i would take a quick break to do something else and try again, since that's something else i did and it worked for me after that. ofc hopefully all of that wont be needed in a future build

Please remember not all things in beta are set in stone. Plus, this Season is still in its very rough and incomplete stage as it's literally the first build. And also note there's a bug stopping players from getting Seasonal candles, so only the first items on the tree prices can be seen. So perhaps wait a bit later for that one.

However, a good suggestion would be that the instuments borrowed could be transported anywhere in the hall but can't leave the hall itself. When the 30 minute (14 minutes rn) reset starts. Go to birds nest (not guaranteed but my experience) first and make sure you meditate on the circle when you finish the event. Had the same issue and just fixed it like that

Eden is different. Some staues are in different locations and they are not is the same position. Its really sad to see actually. And the continuous rock rain is simply brutal...sorry but you will be lucky to get 5 statues lit. I also suspect the eden candle to staue ratio is smaller because i got all the staues in zone one + two in the continous rock rain and ended up with 9 eden candles( I started at 0) before the ratio was 4 statues = 1candle but now i think is may be 2 statues or 3 statues equals 1 candle.

i think a pretty simple solution to how players would be able to access the seasonal area after the season ends is by putting an entrance somewhere in eden. i'm not sure if tgc intends to bring back cosmetics from this season with TSs, but if they do i think it might be better if they split the trees up a bit more since as of right now each orb would be very expensive as a TS. either that or have an extended period where you can get stuff from them. just some thoughts about that lol

Yes it was extremely difficult. Everything is still normal at the beginning, until you get to the final stretch area. That’s were it becomes impossible.
The moment you lose your light, you’re left to slowly crawl on the ground while the red rocks knock your WL out constantly. And if you thought getting knocked over in Eden was annoying already, we’ll wait until you get knocked over while crawling, and it’ll happen a lot. You cant hop or honk to get yourself to move faster, you’re left as the agonizingly slow pace.
And as I stated, I went into Eden with 168 WL, and only managed to get 45 statues. I only got 11.25 candles in the end.

Okay so the eruption doesn’t happen when you’re in Eden, if you’re curious.

I think the only reason it's set at 30 minute rn is due to testing purposes and discovering bugs such as the quest not completing or bugging out. So you're not wait a whole hour+ to retry the event area.
Plus for testers who want to replay the events to see if they encounter any bugs afterwards.

Also the eruption cutscene happens when you go through the prairie tunnel from the social space, but as for vets and players we fly over top the clouds

Reopen game. Make sure to fly through prairie wind tunnel from social space for eruption cutscene. And complete one of the quests (bird nest in my experience) during the 30 minutes before it resets. That's how I got mine to work.

Not a shield prop. The shield feature occurs in elder hair and was stated to be a bug by the devs. Not sure if we will see it in future tho.

honestly we might be seeing more seasons without spirits like this, since the amount of spirits accumulating as seasons go on makes them less likely to become TS over time in the future, by introducing seasons without spirits can reduce the speed of adding new spirits to the TS pool and makes it easier for the current spirits to be picked

From my experience the answer to your questions are

1. We get candles with the quests, some doesn't get any, some gets ACs. It's still bugged.
2. So far, we don't know whether it will be permanent or not. Even the timing of events are still being tested
3. If the quests are done in groups, all participants get equal amount of candles

This is the first build, it's guaranteed to be buggy and missing things, if you find that sort of thing more frustrating than interesting, it sounds like beta might not be the place for you. It's perfectly reasonable to wait for content to go to Live where there are fewer bugs and things are more polished and complete.
Isle of Dawn is an intro area, we don't put "end game" type things where people brand new to the game are without some form of gating to protect the younglings who are still trying to figure things out. Doubly so for the grittier things we're hoping to offer this season.

Those are very buggy quests indeed some players experienced (including me) that you can finish the second quests by doing the bird nest twice or multiple times this is because the one in cave yeets me to oob. But others have different experiences

the first part of eden has semi-often heavy rains, this part is mainly for navigating and dodging the rain to not lose unnecessary wings, the second half of eden has constant but small rain that gets gradually larger the further you go, this part is designed to be an endurance run for all of your wings to tank you through the rain giving as much wl as possible

The pants you mentioned were added as a result of beta feedback, but also most significantly the fact that there was some time devs could spare to make it happen. Behind the scenes those pants went through quite a journey! Firstly the pants needed concepting within the season's visual style, then the concept needed to be approved, then modeled in 3d (and that approved as well!), new UI icon made, pricing and also some design stuff sorted out-all before they could be officially added.
I'm really glad they were able to be added though, I think it was a great addition and beta feedback is always appreciated!

SO what I can say is-submit your feedback! You may never know! I'm actually working on a different season so I hesitate confirming or denying re:new cosmetic items for this season. But I can tell you that if there's feedback that feels like a good fit for the season and if there's bandwidth on behalf of the season dev team: there's always a chance. Things in beta can change and we do read all feedback-whether feasible or not.

Yo, a glitch I found that I'm passing along so that other people can try and see if they can replicate it if they want: I bought my AP while in Prairie (the first central area, with butterfly spirit and the big rock dome), and the rock crust was on Prairie. The sky went normal for a minute and a half, and then went back to being red, and there were no signs of any shards or anything else being abnormal about the realm except the red sky. When I went back to homespace, there was no rock crust on any of the doors at all.

Then let me share my thoughts.
Personally, now version feel like I've cut a thick piece of colored paper now. Therefore, I think it would be better to add a sharp thorn and sharpen the tail. I think it would be cooler if the spine and tail were made more three-dimensional-feeling. I think it would be good to add more fabric like a ballet skirt on the inside and outside of the cape to make it layered.

Things of the new season are a little disappointing. They are based on what has been in the game for a long time, and therefore it feels wrong to get them through a pass. Due to the lack of spirits this season, there is no emotional connection with clothes. I suggest that things be opened for purchase (or maybe become cheaper) if certain conditions are met. Dark Plant Cloak - Burn 100 dark plants. Little Manta Cloak - Free 10 manta rays in the secret forest and so on.

I've noticed that prairie has the first and the second quest, you need to head to either bird's nest or the caverns, cleanse the darkness around them, then complete the quests after the big crystal melts, then you have to sit down again to see a specific memory

Yeah at this stage the quest prompts etc don't make it clear which area to clear first
One thing for certain though - as much as I'm enjoying the exploration, some people are experiencing difficulties, and I personally think it would be better if the game guided the players to the right direction through very subtle hints. Prairie main area being bright is confusing for instance, if eruption has affected the area it surely shouldn't affect the atmosphere of its sub-areas.

Besides these, the first and the second quest world changes being activated at the same time made me very confused. The game also doesn't make it clear you have to sit down in that meditation chamber for a second time to be able to complete the quest. I spent around 45 minutes to complete the first two, a majority of the time was spent trying to find which world elements belonged to which quest

Has it not occurred to you that Vault as you progress it becomes more dreamlike & surreal? Once you wake up from the Vault Elder cutscene you’re literally in a different Summit, with the door leading to Eye of Eden opens in front of you.
