I went to the bird nest area and burnt the darkness and then sat in the circle. I collected the flying mantas and it went back to normal, but when I sat to meditate and relive the memory, it didn’t do anything. It took me to the pity room and nothing said complete.

That is a bug, you should refresh the game and keep doing the trial until it gives you two seasonal candles after completing it. If you get the candles you should be able to then sit down directly where you’re standing and complete it

hm. so the individual practice area in the music shop only allows you to play with instruments that you own, not any instrument in the shop. which kind of defeats the purpose in my eyes because the whole point of the music shop is to play instruments you don't have, and you can play by yourself anywhere in the game if you can find a quiet spot.

I only have a few cons about the new season but a few pros about it too.

Cons:

• season is kinda confusing, since it makes you have to look all over for the area it wants you to go too. I feel like it should give a hint since I bet people don’t want to waste time looking everywhere.
• No new seasonal area
• you don’t get a chance to reply the quests like the last season
• the quests don’t feel as rewarding as the last. It’s just clean and view memory

Pros:
Love the mean crabs, the elder hair shield, the new outfits.

Might add more to this Cons later

sky's supposed to be a relaxing game, yknow? and the challenges it DOES have are (mostly) optional, and it should stay that way. i do like the new animations, and the icon for injured players is very nice! but the slowdowns are WAY too harsh, and so many people already have issues with doing eden as it is now (all understandable and valid reasons too). i've been playing for almost 3 years and eden is pretty easy for me nowadays, but i don't even wanna try it now with this new system 😭

i cleansed the darkness in the prairie caves, and grabbed the light pieces, but fell through the floor (cutscene bug) and wasn’t able to view the ancient memory to complete it. when i came back to the caves, the glowy circle to see it wasn’t there.

would i have to wait until the event starts again to try again? or is this a bug ?

You get seasonal candles like you normally do. There are technically spirits you can get cosmetics from but they do not give you an emote/stance/call (as of now at least)

I am loving this from what I've seen so far, consistent to Sky Gameplay and mechanics, but ramped up and added story elements into the mix without needing overt narrative or cutscenes.

I need to write a proper feedback, but so far this felt emotionally like the darkness quests of Flight, but ramped up into areas we know and love, so that it feels like our very Sky childhood is at risk of the ancestor spirits corruption.

That is how you tell stories in games.

im a solo player (i have an empty constellation on beta and all of my live friends only log on to light me ) and ive been doing the season pretty easily solo as for right now, but since this is in beta there arent a lot of players compared to the actual game. soloing the activities is a breeze so far, you just need to be extra careful and make sure to crawl to a safe space if you get poked by the crystal

So after you burn the plants (in prairie cave or birds nest) and watch the short cutscene, the realm will return to normal and the crystals will disappear. BUT you're not done yet.
Give it a little bit of time, and the circle will reappear where you initially sat down prior, but instead of it saying "start the activity" it'll say "meditate and leave here to see this memory" view it, and you'll complete the first quest.

I have knowledgeable information about shielding in game! (Will update with new info)

1. Your shield breaks against dark water, red crystal, red rock rain, and crystal crabs. Not against krill attack or crab so feel free to be hit by those as much as you want because they just drain energy and can't make you lose wl.

2. When your shield breaks, even restoring light to full charge doesn't bring it back. You have to go to next load area.

3. If your shield breaks due to dark water, red crystal, or rock rain, then your are defenseless against krill even if you charge your wings back to normal.

4. Holding hands with someone who has elder hair on and getting krilled does not protect you. Elder hair onlynshields the wearer.

5. When you get into something that drains your shield, it had a brief moment where it protects you and this is singified by a blue glow around your character, jumping in dark water preserves it, but once it fades your shield breaks and then you enter bald child mode and you get the star draining animation.

Fellow autistic and disabled plauers, do you relate to my struggle? Gameplay is too vague already but this season takes to another level. I get stuck when hurt and that makes me very sad anxious reminds me of when I have been restrained for being autistic in real life. I die too fast. Crabs too powerful. Light drains too fast. Plants burn too slow. Camera shakes too much in quest making me very motion sick to pooint of almost puking. Lights flashing too much. Never sure what to do.
Hard gameplay does not equal good or fun great. It can be evil bad and push away loyal players who have disability because they are no longer able to take it. I hope they won't push me and other loyal disabled plauers away just to entertain players that are bored of the relaxing feeling Sky gives. Let them leave then its ok!. There are more of us who come to relax and will stay to keeping relax.

I can't play beta until these things change. I joined Sky almost two years ago to escape!!! To escape evil bad overstimulating world but now the game is overstimulating me and I don't want to quit so i hope they make it relaxing and safe for disabled people again. this is my favorite game and I can't play beta at this time and I don't want that problem to invade live too. Sky is good and emotional enough without stress. I love relaxing emotional moments not stressful emotional moments. I also struggle with similar issues but i take a different approach to things. I personally see challenges in games to be the reason why the relaxing parts are so much more enjoyable. Imagine being able to get through the event and come out on the peaceful, tranquil side, how rewarding that feeling can be for you. • will protect you from krill no matter how many times you got hit as long as you do not extinguish your own light (all black)
• relighting yourself does not bring shield back
• transferring to another area and going home will bring shield back
• it protects you from the dirty water for a few secs before breaking too

So as long as you don’t get crabbed or drained into a blady (all black) you totally safe from krills while wearing elder hair

Edit: don’t think it works on crabs lol it’s a krill only protective shield as for fire trial’s swirly thingy will need to test it out… don’t think it works tho

Just seeing the quests and all for this Season, it does feel very incomplete and that more could be added. Some parts feel a lot like placeholder. The taking damage of Sky kids feels pretty scary for me... Though, this kind of stuff requires me to try out the Season myself and as a live player, can't do that.

The one thing I could mention is that it feels somewhat lacking, but that's expected as it's not finished and it's very rough atm... But it feels like there should be more? But alas, we'll have to see more of the events and what they'll entail. The second quest bug isn't helping things

I wouldn't say "rushed", just incomplete and is in its rough stages. This is expected since they released this build before Season of Performance ended (more than 30 days), and Seasons being this incomplete when it was first released is always expected. Plus, this Season introduced a new mechanic and all, so expect it to be incomplete.

Take Season of Assembly, which was the first Season to be released really early, and devs warned it would be rough and more incomplete than usual, mainly cause it went to beta earlier than it did before.

I mentioned it felt lacking, but again, could be normal since its not finished. However, I wanted to point this out in case that the final idea the devs have is no different from just this. I honestly doubt it, but there's that chance so I'm pointing it out. I could add this #beta-feedback, but yeah.

Of course, maybe I was too hyped. The events doesn't seem to different from the kind of quests we had in the past tho aside from potentially dying from crabs

My thing is, why not have elder hairs shield you at least once if shielding wasn't intentional at all? That's a perfect reason to get them for some people as a lot of people don't want to grind to just get a cool looking hair.

Giving the elder hairs a functional use/buff would incentivize plenty of people especially if you have different buffs to the hairs and not just one broad sweeping one. I think they should shield you and have a cooldown.

I would suggest to try and complete it on the hour of the hour or 30 minutes past the hour.
Make sure you burn all the plants, and when finishing use the meditation to return to the quest giver to view the memory.
That should do it, it worked for me!

It's strongly theorised the storm in Eden was created because the Eden Diamond exploded in the past. Creating the storm, blowing off the castle and its shard scattered all over Eden (which is why you see a lot of red fragments and crystals all over the ground when you do an Eden run). I also theorised it was what caused the stars (spirits) to fall, making it our mission to relive them and bring them back up. (The Diamond is situated right at the very top of Eden where we're supposed to ascend, it's no coincidence).

Whether it did reach the other realms is unknown... Maybe it did, maybe it didn't... but if it did, how was it fixed? looking at the statues in Eden

I think it may be both with what you said. It's the same as Prophecy (It's strongly believed the Prophecy was already fulfilled in the past, but we also passed the trials as if re-fulfilling it)

These cosmetics have been done before and I don't like that they're sort of recycled. This also goes for owl 2.0 hair. I love that hair but let's face it, it's from season of rhythm..

The reason the blog mentions Prophecy is because that Season's content was Very Different than the Seasons that preceded it and it made a lot of folks feel a certain way about the game, seasons, and content in general. Many of those feelings were pretty hostile over the course of Beta and on social until people actually got to play the content in Live...and even then some folks aren't fans. Which is totally okay! It's important for us to provide a variety of content to a diverse playerbase. 100% of the community will never like 100% of the content, and devs don't expect that sort of broad adoption. What we do strive for is that everyone can find at least some aspect they take pleasure in.

I dont know about other Android players but i have noticed my flying is smoother. I didnt even realize how shaky it was before but now, i barely try and my flight is perfect....also eden is super depressing. They changed the statue positions and placements. All eden maps are now inaccurate. And I one lite 2 eden staues in the continuous rain section before dying...i could not crawl pathetically fast enough. But i still got a total of 9 candles....which was interesting. I will be adding feedback about the confusing quests, im sorry but it needs way more guidence for what you are suppose to do. Also, the lack of seasonal candles in depressing. I am working on my official report. There is so much to say but these are my highlights. The crawl NEEDS help....its too much. Dramatic, horrifying and emotional thats okay but it is too much when i cant get away from the DANG CRABS. I swear i was hit like 10 times before i finally found a corner to hide behind. I mean really, no deep call will help. I will need a pipe in live to do anything near those evil things. I felt like a baby moth, I was SCARED to go back out and burn the plant. As a Flight moth, I don’t get the whole “we don’t like re-issues or reworks” thing, tbh? I don’t know. What I DO know is that coming up with original looks is HARD, especially when there’s already SO MANY cosmetics. Is there gonna be overlap sometimes? Yeah. But if my jelly hair is more blue, and yours has a crown, I’m not gonna have a problem with it..? Mine still implies that I have seniority (which isn’t important to me but idc each to their own), but the moth gets to have jelly hair too! I’d rather have an excited jellified moth with a slightly different cosmetic than me with my jelly hair not being able to share the derpy feeling of plopping a jelly on a skids head and experiencing that with a moth? Idk. The whole thing just seems odd to be. Plus designing and coding cosmetics is a tall order for the devs
