There is not a way but this has been discussed that tgc should make a feature where you could only hear your instrument. I suggested a headphone toggle option in settings that allows you to wear noise canceling headphones and let's you only hear what you play. They go away once the instrument is put up. Asking for something similar in #beta-feedback would be a good idea!! Music griefing sucks and some do it on purpose..

I'm honestly kinda disappointed to see the path Sky is taking...
Graphics? Used to be good, now it's only good if you are rich enough to pay for one of the newest iPhone models, or a Switch
Now the clouds are shaking all the time (which is a trigger for motion sickness, at least for me)
Anti aliasing is disabled making everything pixelated
Textures are really low
And tgc seems to not care about it since this has been in the game for months now in thousands of devices, even the high-end or top tier phones...
The players are reporting it, i know, but tgc hasn't spoken a word about it if i'm not mistaken
And it seems like it's getting even worse
Don't get me wrong. I love Sky, and that's why i'm disappointed, because i want to be able to experience Sky like i used to in the past, but now i know that for that to be possible, i need to be able to afford one of the newest iPhone models, which i can't.

It's always going back and forth in beta because of android fragmentation. (Google it before assuming the worst, android fragmentation in game development is a real challenge)

Tbh hats off before TGC that Sky is still supporting an overly outdated android 8, whereas the current version is 12

As far as this beta goes, it's beyond my own capabilities to give updates on the progress of all the thousands of bug reports we work on, so I do really hope that you'll keep sending bug reports if you find these problems persisting from build to build.

I'm not sure what device you play on; if it's Android, a major issue we constantly navigate is the thousands upon thousands of different Android configurations, and trying to create the best experience possible for tons of different devices (including, yeah, Android 8! It takes a LOT of engineering resources to make sure updates include that even as we improve and expand features).

We do everything we feasibly can to give the best graphic experience possible to as many compatible devices possible, whether high end or low end (I still play Sky sometimes on my iPhone 6, for example, especially when I need a handwarmer but I digress). We can't promise it will be exactly the same across every device, but we do try to fix what we can when it isn't working properly—but of course, some bugs are harder, or much harder, to fix than others

The biggest step back in image quality was said to be around sanctuary season. This was not intentional but only this way was possible to expand compatibility to a wider range of middle-end phones (not only high end ones). Fortunately we don't hear about many crashes in these builds but the price of it is less stellar graphics, which helps to keep big and grow the global family of Sky players.

I'm sad because they're not really super different from jelly whisperer pants, they aren't a charity item, and the charity item is kind of a copy paste atm of the old one. Also no new igc items at all. There have been plenty of items people have suggested along with reasons as to why the reasoning tgc gave for not adding an igc is kind of.... Dumb. They said it was because they wanted people to catch up and due to overwhelming feedback that it was too expensive. Days of feast costs a new moth 280 candles and 35 hearts... The feast table is 150 candles and rainbow cape 175, but they never went no igc items in feast. In fact feast HAS really cheap items added like the music sheet (10 c) , pillow (10c), and scarf(50c).

They could have added a cheap igc item so people who got rainbow cape and tassel last year can get a new item. And for future moths to be able to have more variety of smaller items to get. I was just really looking forward to this, but now I feel that even if I get anything from rainbow it'll feel tinged with bitterness from dealing with all this and desperately trying to get a new igc item, so people from last year will have a way to participate that doesn't only give options involving them spending money.

I'm just really disappointed with how this was handled. The charity item doesn't really make me feel compelled to get it since it's like last year's and the one item I would have got for charity is a non charity iap (which I strongly dislike a non charity iap on this event). Idk. I'm just sad so far. Especially with reasoning tgc has given. That's just my opinion though. I hope things change. I'm just sad.

Unpopular opinion but…

Tbh DoN was a charity event… so if DoR was also a charity event… then where does that get TGC? It’s their game and I think they should profit off it. If they want to donate the proceeds to charity, then that’s their decision.

Personally, I’m happy knowing my money is going toward charity, but I’m also happy if it’s going to the company that created my favorite game.

They do make it so they get 50% of the proceeds from charity iaps go to themselves and other 50% to charity after the following year of their first release. I just wish the charity item was more compelling so more people would get it. The pants feel most compelling and I think they still need to change since they feel too similar to jelly pants. I want a lot of rainbow charity items and not lots of iaps going to tgc specifically for this event because I'm lgbt and want as much support as we can get for the lgbt charities. They have so many iaps that are non charity for other events... I think DoN and DoR iaps should all be charity and they can get money off of them once they go 50/50 after the following year.

I'm not personally familiar with Huawei and this platform is really new for beta, so I don't have much insight, I'm afraid. And unfortunately we aren't able to offer the same kind of player support for beta accounts as live since it's only a test environment.

Did you link your previous account with any other ID/account option, like Facebook or Nintendo? If so, you should be able to use one of those to restore the previous account. Otherwise, definitely be sure to link this Huawei account to one of those to save its progress.

We don't have a timeline for it. It looks like you'll probably need to use the new account for testing.

Since beta is an experimental environment only for testing, it will have a lot of bugs that can cause issues like this (especially since Huawei is so new) This is why we try to encourage everyone who beta tests to not treat their beta account the same as a live account—better to use the energy for bug hunting and reports than, for example, trying to unlock as many items as possible.

I'm not a lawyer, but I believe I've heard that phrasing in use with sites like Twitter, Instagram, etcetera: essentially meaning that those companies can display your photos or art on their site and in advertisements for their site. As in "reproduce, redistribute" meaning it can be seen in a recent or a 'top' page or an ad on youtube, and "modify" meaning it can be placed into a format (like an advertisement) which you didn't originally create. Like the Shopify ads we may see that show artists works for sale. At the same time, none of these companies claim ownership to the art.

I only say this because "We want you to create and express yourself freely, and you retain all rights in and to your User Generated Content." insinuates that the creator still claims the rights and ownership to the work. So TGC does not own it, and therefore cannot use it without getting the rights of ownership via contracts for your design.

Regardless if it's a collaboration or not, it's still not a fair price, even more in a simple cosmetic that in a while the game can end and you'll never have access to it again, Tgc left the price fair before, but now they exaggerated a lot on it, besides the guitar has no sound difference compared to the pass and do you think 30 dollars is fair? well that's the point, Tgc has become a mercenary and I have no doubt that in the big update they will only release full price cosmetics at 20 30 dollars in the last season of 2022

i joined beta so i could have fun and help to test out the game but i’ve barely been in for a month and i’m already stressed out by having to see how events are slowly becoming completely IAP oriented. It’s lowkey scary. I’ve played for around a year and a half now in total and it seems to just be slowly becoming less oriented around gameplay and more oriented around spending money to get all the latest cosmetics.

Because when you're ignoring cosmetics and are oblivious to the problems of Sky, it's a great game.
