I can actually answer my joke question in a non-joke way:
Software dev of any type is hard, game dev that covers lots of platforms is harder, and literally no amount of QA work or beta testing could catch all possible bugs, especially in a game where the fanbase actively demands and the devs actively protect some bugs!

Imagine just the number of combinations you can generate using different cosmetics. It would literally take years for one person to go through every possible combination.

Personally I'm not a big fan of re-skins, but with Feast it didn't feel too bad since there's the very original snowflake cape, the IGC red feast cape, and it was like... A choice if you wanted white and red fluffy Christmas outfit

With the pant, it doesn't feel like this because we don't have that much original pant neutral designs, and Days of Rainbow also offers a lot of choices. To get a reskin for $9.99 feels somehow sad because there's just one rainbow element. If they change more colors, even by keeping the current shape, it would be better, imo

Our very first charity item was the 2020 Earth Cape, which was a partnership with One Tree Planted to plant one tree per cape. I believe it's correct that that came out to the equivalent of $1 per cape. The rest of the charity items since then have put a great portion of net proceeds towards their intended projects.

i will say one thing that needs to be remembered is like, game development isn't easy. TGC is an indie dev team making a very popular game for ios, android, switch, huawei, and other platforms in the future. regardless of how much investment money or whatever they get they seem to be juggling a Lot of things so you can't expect them to get things perfect first try, or to always 100% know the right thing to do all the time

so yes feedback is important even on things you think they should know

Game anniversaries tend to be pretty large, no matter the game. And three years is a big achievement.
Theres also the Performance ending quests and music shop as well being worked on at the same time.

If a Rainbow event is on the table for the future, and if this hypothetical event still has to stay more rainbow themed instead of expressly pride themed (due to how international countries operate), it would be fun if there could be some sort of colorful or painting gameplay. Like colorful smoke bombs, sparklers, colorful dust snowball fights? Color trails are a great start, but I want more!
A way that can still represent diversity and unity of all different peoplecolors.

In pre-release beta, skykids would actually get dyed red or blue depending on which race gate they took for the flying or sliding races. Imagine a whole cast of colorful skykids in every color. Maybe some sort of flying gameplay, so you could show off your color trails and paint rainbows, or other flag colors, in the sky
