While he's cute and I DO care about nature, I don't feel like paying that whole price for a tiny turtle and some IGC when I could personally use that money to do my little change, or support something that will make the change for 100%

Folks. The beta feedback channels are not restricted to only current testers. We've always permitted feedback from non-testers in those channels as well. We simply ask that people who haven't played the beta keep that fact in mind when they send feedback.

That's not really true, because beta is extremely limited and getting a spot involves a lot of luck. It would be kind of unfair since lots of people would like to participate, you know? Developers do encourage that players who are not in beta but wish to give feedback do their best to be informed and participate in these channels to know what's happening in testing, though

I would argue Days of Rainbow is a much bigger deal than bloom for a lot of people (it represents LGBTQ+ pride). There's a rainbow cape but it's not new for this event. You'll find pics of you search if you wanna see. People have it in live too.

Like, you know the stickers people get when they vote in an election? They're fun, maybe kinda cute, and a good way to show other people you voted. But the reason to vote isn't all about getting the sticker

Were you selected to be a beta tester? Players who applied and were selected will be contacted by Huawei with a link and instructions to download Sky Beta, so that information they sent should explain the steps you'd need to follow

You can sign into Android beta with your Huawei ID but you would have to be an accepted android beta tester to have downloaded the Android Beta. If that's what you meant? If you're a Huawei beta tester, you can't just access Android Beta. If you're downloading Beta from the Google Play Store, then you're an Android tester regardless of if you use a Huawei device. Huawei testers app is in the Huawei AppGallery. Hope that's helpful.

I’m curious to see what a fortune rabbit mask would look like. The prophecy masks have a very unique aesthetic that’s different enough from the sleek gold and white look of the fortune masks, which makes the fortune and prophecy tiger masks differentiable enough. Postman’s mask already has a sleek design so I’m wondering how they’ll make it unique enough from postman’s mask

AHHH i just came up with an idea and wanted to know if i should put this in suggestions..for the music shop, one idea to fix the whole chaos noise of everyone trying to play an instrument at once? Soo uhh...like...8 sound proof rooms, (8 cause that's the limit of players in a server/lobby thing!) and the doors are open, and when you go in one, you can shut the door and it can only be opened from the inside, so no players can open it except you since you're in the room, but it could have a window to the hallway so if you wanna let someone in, you can! and the rooms are soundproof, so you dont even hear players from the outside??

something like that?? downside i just thought of though is players chibi falling into room x_x orrr they could just have a seperate room/server thing like for trials/finale realm where server merge doesn't exist, at least from my experience xD

My device always handled sky, i never had a game breaking bug, and i never had crashing issues, even with my phone being low-end (4gb RAM + Snapdragon 665)
It always ran sky like normal (30fps with almost 0 frame drops), with two " ⚡ ⚡ ", i even have footage of it

Like, maybe I’m overreacting, but I’ve wanted more accessibility for these instruments for a long time, and now TGC seems to be doubling down on making items that cost more sound intentionally much worse than the items that we don’t have the OPTION to get anymore. It feels a bit like an insult to those of us who didn’t join earlier or buy APs at the time. Maybe I’m being too harsh. I hate being harsh. I just… I can’t wrap my brain around the logic behind this.

For one instrument that's 1.5x the price of an adventure pass I don't think it's fair for them to sound so 'cheap knockoff-ish'. I’m more upset that, from the research I’ve done on handpans, and just judging by the sounds of the originals vs these, it seems like the new sounds were specifically picked to be worse. The only footage of a handpan that sounds anything like the Triumph pan I could find was one specifically stated to be the cheapest one the guy making the video could find on eBay.

I think it’s because of what sky as a whole pushed... they pushed the idea of ensuring newer players got older cosmetics by way of traveling spirit system - this just meant that everything that is “old” has a way of being accessed by newer players. The only exception up until now has been ults. But now, ults are just resold as reskinned more expensive items —- it’s strange to say the least and I’m not liking it.

I’d prefer they bring the old ones back, rerun older seasons... but instead they decided to go the reskin route

I’m starting to get the feeling that the original seasonal ultimates may not return, seeing things like the penguin hair and triumph instruments being a thing as opposed to them reselling The owl hair and exact same ult instruments. Personally I think this is a reasonable way to go about it, that being making very similar items to existing ultimates without making them vastly inferior appearancewise. I personally wouldn’t be against exact ultimates returning, though it seems like look-alikes are the route TGC is taking to try and please as many people as they can, that being offering very similar items to new players so that they can experience similar things and older players can still have their unique originals. It’s impossible to please everybody so there will always be at least Some people upset at whatever the definitive decision is.

I think that's a lovely wish to have for newer players! Though even if they did rerun seasons, it wouldn't truly be "experience as if they were new" as part of the experience is sharing the newness with others I feel. That would be lacking in a re-run.
I also may be biased, as admittedly I really dislike the thought of having to replay a season I've experienced before as it would feel like a drag, if it lasted the same amount of time. I joined midway through Gratitude, and especially these older seasons...they were lacking in a lot of content. It'd essentially be daily quests only with some Lightseeker candles in levels.

I would love to be able to replay seasons more. The quests are a lot of fun, and it's been more recent with the quests being in meditation circles that we've been able to play. But I think it would be nice if we had the ability to reset a past season's quests to be able to play them, maybe an option to reset after a season has finished (with the exception of resetting said newly finished season.) It might even be a good way to get hearts easier if the hearts got reset too, since it's not just one and done spirit trees.
I like the cutscenes after a quest has finished, but I want to replay the first cutscenes too.

Even as someone who wasn’t here for sanctuary, this sums up my thoughts nicely as well. I don’t care about the appearance. I quite like the triumph handpan’s appearance, actually! I just really don’t like the sound in comparison and as much as I’ve heard people say they like it, I wish it wasn’t the only option for new players.

That’s just the thing though, quests are not replayable by nature. You can only ever see the cutscenes and once you’ve experienced, the novelty is gone. What sky needs is more multiplayer mini games. Things to do in each area. A skiing mini race game in valley maybe? Or a flying game in season of flight area?

I absolutely love Flight to death and I think it sets a great example for future seasons, that Performance seems to follow as well: A lively cast of spirits that really feel like characters that you grow to love as you see them interact with the player and each other, and a pleasant area with some legitimate utility that keeps you coming back.

Every update, I’ve been hoping for more active mini-games with friends, but the updates all gave us new chat areas or new chat trees or new wax locations and... it’s been a bit disheartening. I know it’s going to take time, and I do like the new stage area... but at the same time, I kind of realize it’s going to be another one of those areas that I won’t be using much.

Maybe we’d use it for Halloween cause we do tell scary stories, but.. that’s again a mostly typing and sitting activity.. and emotes are so hard to find.it’s not convenient to tell stories

But as Luci said, the quests with gathering materials felt pointless since we never saw any payoff for them, Cannoneer was the only spirit that really had any reason to grow to love, and even then, I didn’t find myself feeling too attached to them. It’s a shame because I think the concept of exploring a sunken city for resources as you uncover its history and support a ragtag scavenger crew is awesome. I just think it could have been executed much better, and coming right after Flight it felt kind of empty.

Okay you know what. Here is my opinion of the whole Ult thing. Think of the cape for entering the office. It was an exlusive item given to people who helped test the game. The inside was white, but for players who were not there, they can purchase the cape. The only difference it the inside is black not white. Does anyone complain. No. Why, because new players can go to the office while still being in aww of those who have the cape with the white inside. It dosent undervalue the ones who were origionally there it just shares the happiness.

Yeah, it’s a difficult issue to balance. Players during the season had/have two choices: spend up to over $200 to get the cosmetics and ults all at once or grind for over 50-55 days plus the price of the pass to get the cosmetics and ults. I can understand there being some feelings of unfairness if newer players could get the ults for less perceived effort/money

And of course I’d like to add that I am in favor of ults returning, just in a way that balances all the situations as well as possible

Its not up to the players at the end of the day but it puts tgc in an awkward position because these items have been the “special unobtainable items” out of season for a very long time and as potentially problematic and toxic as it is people do like to be exclusive.

So TGC is forced to try and balance the new players wanting to enjoy access to all items as well as old players wanting to keep their items “exclusive”

Again im 100% for all an inclusive altruistic experience but not everyone will agree with this.

Yeah, the attitude that “no one new can have this item if they didn’t play at the time” is rather rude, especially since some players were physically unable to participate even if they wanted to due to device restrictions - like Android completely missed out on four full seasons, which wasn’t even their fault. There should def be a way to return ults eventually

I will also say, I’ve been playing for over 2.5 years now and remember the absolute chaos that happened when TGC announced the ts system. Tbh, there had been a somewhat perhaps assumed perception of seasons in that seasons were one-time only events and the only time you’d ever see anything from them again is if TGC decided to stick them in an IAP as a pack (see: the gratitude fur pack and the winter musician pack). There was even an extremely confusing return system for players who wished to return their seasonal items in exchange for currency

I think the gifting feature has been a great step forward to returning ults as IAP (or something similar, still kind of hard to measure the grind of a season in monetary value, and the IAP would have to be more than the price of a pass to make it both “fair” as well as profitable for TGC as I’m sure a bunch of players would just wait for the items and buy it cheaper instead of playing the season and getting the pass) so friends can gift ults to each other if money is an issue for someone

Yeah, though TGC would have to massively overhaul the ts system as it took over 2 years between Sassy Drifter’s first appearance in early 2020 to Dismiss’ arrival, which would prevent players from doing something like “collect all the cosmetics from all the ts from a particular season to be eligible to buy the ults”

Don’t remember the exact probabilities, but I think it’s somewhere around a 3% chance for any particular seasonal spirit to show up as a ts, and that’s just going to keep shrinking as more ts get added to the pool over time

It’s probably easier for me to say something like what I did as someone who’s already met nearly every seasonal spirit I’ve missed as a TS/Would be willing to wait that long for 100% completion, but I definitely understand that it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea

The way I’m imagining it you’d be given 3 to choose from one week and only go with one of the options. This way people at least have a little bit of a choice rather than having to wait 2 weeks each for just one.
