We're asked to provide feedback and bug reports in English, so it's probably a "soft" requirement to be able to communicate in that language. Yea! They could consider adding a toggleable option for who can see your messages and then limit that feature to some social spaces in the game as well ^^

It adds a new way to communicate with others without being too invasive and also gives people the choice to pursue these interactions

no, if you look over #beta-faq you will see there is no invites open. TGC does them when they need testers which rn, they don't. No one knows when TGC will release more invites soon but best to look over #beta-faq to get the roles needed for when invites drop

It's also really popular right now because a lot of people got it recently with the absurd amount of excess candles obtained from a bug. They converted to regular candles before TGC wiped them (and actually I think they still haven't been wiped, I still have like 80k candles myself...)

People should get over it, it's an ult, will always be an ult. It was never intended for everyone. If you want it, go get it. If you can't get it, well, you can't. It's a reality.
"I can't afford it" is not the all-time ticket to beg for something for free just because you love it. Plus there are ways to get a pass.

imo i think the main argument for owl hair not being an ult is that it doesn't resolve the issue of people wanting ults to return. eventually the season will end and people once again will have missed out on owl hair and will ask for it as much as they ask for the original. i think it should be ap locked no matter what but idk

I think you are thinking too much about it, owl and penguin are look a likes. And people think this is supposed to be an owl hair 2.0 so that players can finally have owl hair. But that’s only how they feel. TGC has not said that. This penguin hair is it’s own ultimate gift as far as we know, there as been no talk of this having anything to do with bringing back past Ults. So you are discussing it being an ult again not solving the problem, but It’s not owl hair 2.0

i think only being able to obtain one of an item would make a trading system a horrible idea, i've played more than a few games with really really bad elitism issues because of limited items and even then you could still get more than one of those SkyFaint ults on their own have already created a black market of people buying and selling accounts with pre-android ults and aps, imagine how much worse it would be if every single item is unique

It’s not very doomsday, it’s what’s inevitably going to happen imo. As more seasons come and go, more future players will be asking for the ults we’re having now.

I’m not sure if the penguin hair was an attempt to try bringing back similar ult designs to appease new players or a mere coincidence, but if it’s the former then it will compound the problem long term. They’ll have to make a 3rd owl hair, a 4th owl hair, etc.

They’d be better off just implementing a return system. I hope I don’t come off as condescending or anything! That’s not my intent ^^
I just think this is what’s going to happen until they find a way to return old ults instead of making similar ones, because the similar ones will just become sought after a year or two into the future and the cycle will repeat.

Don't worry you're not condescending, it's an argument I've seen a lot these days. I get it, though I don't think it'll happen.

I don't think tgc would have made this season if they didn't want to, owl hair demand or no. Even so though, this ult concept isn't unique to sky. Limited/legacy items is a model that requires..limited items. It's just something players have to learn to understand and deal with imo.

With how the ts system works, I think it works pretty well. While I think an ult return system could work, I don't find it as neccessary.

I think an ult return system could work if they implemented a “collecting the TS of xyz season to unlock $$$ IAP of the ults”
It would make it challenging (probably more challenging than just doing the season), but possible for newer players.

But I believe sooner or later (though probably sooner as some ults are reaching 2-3 years old), TGC will need to address returning ults.

I will say I adore the cosmetics they’ve made for this season a ton, and despite the similarities to the past owl hair, I hope they choose to keep the ult hair performance guide has now. I think it’s cute and fits the ult mask very well ^w^

you'll have to play live for one year to access beta. how will the dev know this? the player will record them going into the appstore, into their purchases, searching "Sky: Children of the Light", and viewing their download date. the player will then be asked for their live id, then they're allowed to join beta. the dev will then ask for their beta id
to prevent the wrong person from getting the invite, one of the accounts from beta must be linked in the next week, before getting banned from beta (as you're not allowed to give invites to others)

as elysian said, a tester should be at least 13 years old, as discord is where all bug reports go, and discord requires users to be 13 years old. but as for the argument of why minors are allowed to beta test, sky has a very large player base of all age types. younger testers would have different opinions and priorities when it comes to content than older testers

netease items are only for the netease server likely due to their laws. many games with separate chinese servers have exclusive items due to not being connected to the global version. its not a new thing

public chat mode: if you and another stranger have it on, you don't need to light each other to see eachother's outfits ( theyll be grayed out like when you go in a blocked player's menu), and you can see eachother's chat. you also have the option to mute a player, removing their view of your chat and vice versa.

whisper mode: click a friend's chat button to activate, click it again to stop (this can be activated with multiple players)
