I understand they wanted to make the game more “interesting” for big vets that were getting bored of the game, but they also need to acknowledge that most of their players aren’t vets, don’t have hundreds and thousands of candles, don’t have every single traveling spirits, don’t have enough candles to afford a whole event and expensive ts that are bringing even more ridiculously expensive and useless props.

Well it is. The game can't give you much in terms of story. You need to play the game in unintended glitchy ways to keep it interesting. Stuff outside the game keep it interesting (discord groups, contests there, costume requests, gen chat fights, lore chat confusions etc). So yeah. Sad state of affairs

True that's one thing that is still good. But you quickly run out of stuff to do. And socialising... I mean how many times will you play titanic music again and again. Can't talk too much since it is not actually a social platform and we honestly come to sky world to escape that kind of socialising anyways. So the social aspect while much more lasting than the gameplay and story. Definitely fades out (as someone who has been playing for more than a year now and lost too many friends to the void in the sky constellation )

We literally have nothing to do anymore but just grind all day for cosmetics idk how they are planning to fix this "mess"

coming back from an 8 month hiatus to a very sterile constellation definitely knocked my enthusiasm back down a bit after I decided to start playing again. so many of my memories were coloured by my friends, who don't even have the app anymore. luckily I've found new friends in the months since I returned, but the experience of losing those connections definitely makes new relations a bit bittersweet as well. little prince quests made me really emotional because they almost exactly depicted my experience losing touch with old friends

Prices got raised for no reason, too many expensive ts in a row with the expensive events, not acknowledging that people can’t afford to buy a 200 candles event + a 200 candles ts at the same time and that pushes some of them to actually buy candles pack etc etc etc

Also the fact that a cape that was 70 candles last year is magically 95 candles now.

new friend constellation looks better than before in terms of visibility, but it rankles that they removed the "online friends" section. it was a great step towards being able to find people you get split from, or to quickly see who is online if you're looking for company. it keeps sending me to a previous page when I go from a friend's avatar to the constellation again too

I was thinking about this the other day. I don’t interact with moths very often anymore but I’ve recently made a friend from the server who’s a new player and doesn’t know much about the game. So I’m always answering questions and such, but almost all they seem to care about is being able to get new items and they seem stressed already about candle running and stuff since everything’s so expensive and kinda overwhelming to new players - I try to show them cool places and explore with them to show them what the old heart of sky is

(The numbers don't add up bc I dont remember the exact price but I went from 436 down to around 130 candles to be exact)

I hate to say it but getting new items isn't even rewarding anymore. It's so disheartening losing MONTHS worth of progress in a single day and wiping out EVERYTHING.

This is not sustainable. Most games leave you with SOME currency. Sky does not unless you run everyday and do wax everyday, which we all know most of us do not.

At this point I want to skip out on most items because the cycle of "saving for 3 months and losing everything in a day" is the reason for all the grinding and burnout.

NFTs or non-fungible tokens are very harmful to the environment and can easily consume enough electricity comparable to a house or more depending on the transaction. NFTs are essentialy images you can buy... only its not the image, it's the link. You don't own the image or the copyright. Anyone can steal it.

It's really hard to explain but think of a big energy-consuming computer working day and night on a piece of code, non stop, for massive transactions. That's... kind of what they are in a nutshell?
