after this we're never going to look at swimming much again, and that sucks, because they worked really hard on this mechanic when they could have done something else if it was just another one time gimmick

spells are another thing that's also technically just a gimmick because they're just too expensive, so we hoard them and don't really use them as much as we should or could

imagine glow spell actually lighting up a cave properly or gravity spell actually making flying upwards really powerful, well also being affordable so we'll actually take the time to buy them as a thing at least weekly

spell deserve to be something we actually utilize in our daily CR, especially for vets who can afford it because that will ease up their runs and make sure that they don't get burned out as quickly

so when I found out both of the anti-chrill spells and the color trail spells were locked behind events I was really sad because they clearly don't even think about making spells any less of a gimmick

in order to make this comment a beta comment

what if we got some water spells?
imagine diving up and down like a dolphin moving way faster and with ease, or imagine spells to make sure that we don't lose air as quick, or spells that instantly give us back our air in case of an emergency

we don't know what goes on in their office, but one things for sure, the team is not a group of friends, its a large body of people
they can't just slow down
there are higher ups that sets the deadline, and devs who fulfill it
are the deadlines random? definitely not
they have data that gives them the reasons for deadlines
whether it be the minimum/maximum gap time for player retention
whether there be a monthly/quarterly/whatever monetary goal they must reach
or other bureaucratic stuff etc.
its simply stuff that don't inherently affect players, but affects the company and its employees, as such it isn't simply as taking it slow being always the good choice
there is always a compromise, and a choice to make

the oob being ~~removed ~~different?
its collateral damage from tweaking the levels
its not removed on purpose
will it come back? nobody knows, beta feedback, bug report, whatever
but don't be surprised if it goes to live, cause if bugs can get there what goes for something less relevant

while this is true, switch is only entitled to one (1!!!) of these kinds of hotfixes per year, making it an extreme last resort. for instance, a huge amount of switch users were unable to even access the game for more than 3 weeks during season of flight, and what ended up fixing it was a Nintendo system update - not something on tgc’s side. ensue distribution of compensation that didn’t reach nearly all affected players leaving ap-players without a way to access ultimate gifts they paid for. ultimately the root of the issue is Nintendo’s policy on slow updates, but bringing sky to such a platform also means they have to be significantly more aware of the player impact certain bugs can have

then the people who do play like they would normally, that do crs and earn their candles through hard work, get their candles wiped as well for not much of a reason though. my friend has been beta testing basically from the start, had over 3k candles earned by playing like you’d normally do, just to have it reduced to 200. Wiping candles doesn’t seem to create a better testing environment either. Just the fact that items could be wiped at any point is reason enough for those of us who beta test to keep us playing beta for the testing purposes and not for the freebies.

and please, refrain from the whole thing about how you shouldn’t play beta if you’re not ready to get your candles wiped due to a bug. people are allowed to feel salty about things.

ok guys, i think i can safely say (in my opinion) that abyss area is the most relaxing area in the game, if you stay on the surface or in the safe area, but there's other places that are way more relaxing, like the caves in the abyss area, specially the one in the beggining of the area, you can hear the sea, water drops, the ambient sounds and the surface music

In defense of the ultimate cape: minimalistic cosmetics actually goes well with more items and it allows you to do more experiment with pairing it with different stuff without going too glitzy.

can confirm, people always point to the anubis mask for what an ult "should" look like but the giant distracting halo makes it basically unusable with anything that isn't black or white 😔 having something simple with some baubles like the abyss ult cape is much better imo since it still has a few defining features like the necklace and stars that don't distract from the rest from the outfit

Just gonna say I see a lot of people who are saying the ult is good and too glitzy would be worse, and cool I understand where they come from, but also for my reasoning is I just want a cool ult cape. I'm a new player (LP moth) and just really love capes and wanted a cool ult cape. Not one that looks really basic imo. Most of my fits in game are based around the cape I wear.

So even if we get a glitzy cape I wouldn't really mind bc I build my outfits from the ground up around the cape. Just putting my two cents in and hope eventually we get a really cool cape ult at some point soon. This one is just too basic for me. It's a pretty cape, but doesn't make me feel it's ult worthy. I get why others like it though.
