IAPs will only show in the shop when there is some sort of event or something going on with new IAPs to test. They don't put candle packs in the shop in beta because they prefer players to go out and earn them normally, to help test the game and gather feedback and discover bugs and other things

if no items are appearing for you, there is either no event being tested, OR your shop is bugged

Items only get added when they are testing something. There is nothing specific that you can do to get anything to be added there other than play the game and check it when something is added. There are no events going on, so the shop should be empty if you have already gotten the adventure pass for Abyss

they're technically right! the IAP shop usually only has things in stock during events, so if you dont play a lot you may miss many of them
the events in beta are also MUCH shorter than in live so its easy to miss something

Its been a while since I've been in beta, so maybe its just a practice thing, but I'm finding the diving mechanic extremely unintuitive compared to say, glide mode. Does anyone have any advice for swiming while keeping your character level in the water column? I can't seem to pull it off...

If it's possible to repeat the bug, the same way, then report it to the respective beta bug channel, beta issues can carry over to live when new builds are released so it's best to tackle them whilst they're in beta (someone else could possibly test it in live)

Falling off someone else's swing and ending up underground is a bug in both beta and live sky. Do report it 👍

Am i the only one unhappy with the oxygen mask? I was hoping for it to be at least unlimited oxygen or to not make you lose winged light, you know, something thats worth getting it

Anxiety hits me whenever i have a certain deadline of doing something even if i have time, i just get stressed out, and if the mask gave us unlimited oxygen (or just make us not lose wl at least) i would feel more relaxed while exploring the new area

Attempt to memorize the locations of the recharge plants. There really are enough plants and shells around that unless you get spotted by a krill, you shouldn't be losing light, at least not during the quests. I have found the oxygen mask to be unnecessary. You just need to be strategic.

testflight is asking for a code to redeem. is there a code im supposed to put in to become a beta tester or do i need to be invited?

TGC doesn't send out codes to redeem; what happens with the invite waves for the Sky beta is that when they're accepting new beta testers, they'll post invite link URLs to #beta-signup-info -- as an iOS user, you need to click on the iOS invite link while having Testflight installed to accept the invite

Android is basically the same process, except they don't need a dedicated app installed already to accept the invite link since the Android beta is directly hosted on the GooglePlay store, rather than within another app

Everyone experiences anxiety we just have different triggers. Anxiety helps to keep us vigilant and safe. When anxiety causes you to not function in daily life, that's a different story.
There's nothing wrong with experiencing emotions of fear. In fact pushing through those is what it means to be fearless. It is not to be without fear. If we didn't have elements of fear in the game, I'd think it would be rather boring.

I was replying to them equating what they were facing in the game with the anxiety they are facing with tasks in which there would generally not be anxiety present. Having a fair workload and ample time to accomplish it should not bring anxiety inducing stress. A g a I n, speaking as someone who has literally had anxiety for over 35 years I can tell -as my experience- I know that having anxiety when attempting to accomplish something when a deadline is present should be seen as no more than a motivating factor, not an anxiety inducing one. I'm not generalizing anything, but speaking from something I experience in MY daily life. I've responded in the capacity I feel obligated.

Ultimate gifts are items that NEVER come back once the season ends, the mask right now is like one of the most useless ultimate reward (in my own opinion)
Its just a face mask so having ability lile unlimited oxygen would make it way more unique and deserve being an ultimate

Yeah. The problem I have with it is because it is a function cosmetic and therefore unique, ofc it will be an ult. That being said, it's usefulness is severely limited. Limited by the 10 seconds extra it gives and limited because you already have recharge points everywhere already. It kinda makes it redundant. It does do something, just not much of something.

you'll have to chibi fall. sadly the large plants that used to keep you recharged there has moved out of range, so you may lose some wl even if you find it. my tip is to start the fourth quest, it can be viewed around the halfway mark and you don't have to finish the quest if you wanna keep it there

I think for now it's only in the Abyss seasonal area, because there aren't really light orbs underwater in other places? At least not quite the same anyway, some dark plants are partially in the water but it's not really the same as like the shells and stuff in the reef

yes, some of the pieces of light from burning the dark plants and sea urchins that grow out of the water are blue. If I remember correctly, I don't think there was any mention of this by the devs.

Buoyancy is relative to the body of liquid the object is submerged/floating in. It was only ever the ice rink waters where sky kids sank to the bottom in -- all other bodies of water, they'd float and swim on the surface even before the Season of Abyss (i.e. with that kind of inconsistent water behaviour, it's more likely that the ice rink water was somehow less dense than all the other bodies of water encountered in the game)

I admit the new purple-navy lighting in the Valley ice rink might be an okay compromise. It’s certainly less inhospitable looking than the first pass on its redesign. 1. Dive and look at the back of your Skykid
2. Tap the go up button (that one that switches the swimming mode).
3. Start moving forwards or sidewards

Also, yo, quick question: I think that, like, when I was in the first segment of forest, someone relived a spirit while I was in there and I was considered part of it cause I had the circle, and to the best of my memory, I got the "relive spirit quest complete" message because it was the generic quest. But then when I did blowkiss spirit, I had the quest message pop up as fulfilled. But the problem is that I have bad short-term memory, so I don't know if I'm remembering wrong or not? If I think the quest message popped up twice but I'm not 100% sure, then should I submit a bug report anyways or should I not?

The problem is that I can't exactly go replicate it since I've already turned in my dailies... Does anyone else want to try replicating it, or has anyone else had this happen?

to complete the "relive a spirit's memories" quest you now have to view the ensuing cutscene caused by pressing the flame icon. to complete the blow kiss quest you only need to reach the part where you can press the flame icon, but to complete the "basic" quest you also would need to have viewed the cutscene. if you did the blow kiss quest without pressing the flame, you should only have completed one quest with it, if that makes sense

Stand in the middle of the boat, create a lag spike to make your boat bouncy, while your boat is either going up or down try placing the boat somewhere else while standing in it. (Sanctuary is a good place to test it since home space and certain others places dont seem to work.)

I think that the 2 ultimate masks should allow you to breathe underwater freely coz it would be a Lost to have a whole world underwater but you can't explore it all because you won't die
Also it would give the masks more importance in my opinion

we can't fly indefinitely, why would swimming be any different

I dont think masks should give us breath forever since where is the challenge in there?
Myb they can increase the timer of mask oxygen but i think it would be unnecessary since so many fishes and plant supports you

I just want to share a story about a dream I had a couple days ago. So, I went sleep while having thought about the upcoming season—Season of Abyss. As you guys already know, we will have a new feature/mode—diving mode I'm pretty excited tbh . But I didn't expect it would come to my dream, or a nighmare I should say. In the dream, I was the sky character. And I went diving in a really big lake, and at the moment, I saw this big creature, and it shocked me, and then I was drowning. But the worst part was I couldn't breathe, and even after I woke up.

Now, I don't think I could comfortably explore the upcoming new area🤡🤡🤡 ok thats all the story. Also, don't u guys think, it's a little too dark under water👉👈

i might put this into beta feedback at some point cuz i recently saw a video abt it so i wanna know: does anyone think the 'oxygen' feature (skykids breathing bubbles underwater) + the ultimate mask that gives you extra breath seem kind of inconsistent with skykids?

i mean - skykids don't have noses, and water in forest and wasteland only drains our light. ||or maybe its just the spirits giving it to random skykids cuz well... they're dead and they can't use it || and even if it's cuz skykids' light drains way faster underwater, i don't see the need of an oxygen mask, more like they need a suit that can protect their body from the water

the color palette and the plundering are both too dark to be in isle imo and the only areas with krill are either in or very close to wasteland (including starlight desert since vault is part of the wasteland temple)

they function similarly to the urchins from sanctuary geyser in that they can be moved around by players/collision. it happens to me sometimes when im sitting with a candle out
i think it's just that the ball occasionally detects the collision before the flame and bounces away too fast to burn

concerning granny in beta: if you have a full table of props only you usually don’t have to burn the food yourself. less than that and pretty much all the food will be yeeted around due to being affected by the “shockwave” from one of the other balls being burned. white candle works sometimes too, but only if the food manages to stay still for a lot longer than it usually does. collection area is also ludicrously small, so because the food sometimes falls so far from the table it’s often necessary to run around anyway

Its a bit hypocritical that tgc wants to be "fair" to everyone by nerfing the mask but added 2 very useful ults in the past which you could say "ptw"

Bonfire and lightseeker umbrella were useful to veterans, It has an advantage. While the new mask just gives a small buff and then theres the free version.

I feel like its making more of a divide of old players having way "better and useful ults" than the new players because of this.

Lightseekers ult has a better coverage and can cover more friends than the free version, and looks more unique

While the normal and ult scuba masks have small differences

does that mean the ults will always look terrible? no, and taste is subjective, especially when every season the ults varies in category and amount

i can say rhythm have terrible ults with the ultimate being a simple white hair (even juggler hair has a golden lining) and a black mask which is similar to the default mask

but that sounds wack especially when the rhythm ult hair is one of the most wanted ults right?

what im saying is its hard to compare seasonal ults when they have different categories, amounts, theming and time investment (none of the first four seasons have a whole new seasonal area and actual quests)

Most ults are subjective but one of the key aspects of them is that, it targets the audience to buy the ap. One of the main reasons why people buy ap, 2nd being getting all cosmetics.

I know about veterans having more items, but dosent excuse them of having a major advantage than newcomers because that one specific season had a useful ult and took almost a year to fairly get an alternative.

Newcomers dont suffer unlike before, but theres still the history. Even if the old useful arent as op as before there was a time where they were.

Imo it's time players change the definition of ultimate gift since devs have already clarified what it means to them.
Ap doesn't only give you access to ultimate gift but a lot of other stuff.
If you are buying ap for ultimates then you are buying it for something that's behind a pay wall including multiple other stuff someone else might've bought ap for something else.

Honestly I like that there’s a variety of appearances and aesthetic intents behind the varieties of ultimate gifts. Personally I don’t like super flashy and extravagant things for my Sky kid, so when something comes out like Owl Hair that looks nice and can blend in with whatever other style I have going on, that makes me happy

I would wager that the majority of all players who purchase the pass don’t really finish the season, because they either don’t have the time to or just want to buy specific things. personally I think equating the value of the adventure pass with the ultimate gifts doesn’t take into account the many other (even better) benefits of the ap

Yeah, there are definitely other perks of an AP besides the cosmetic at the top of the questgiver’s seasonal heart tree. Just the extra candle alone would make it worthwhile for me

The old and rare thing definitely colors people’s opinions about how “unique” something is. I’d argue that the deer mask from gratitude isn’t at all unique compared to the other gratitude masks—they were all large, colorful, animal themed, and spiky in some way. I don’t know about you Nagati, but I find that the gratitude (ultimate) mask (I believe it’s a gazelle) is the most beautiful reward from that season. I wasn’t around at the time of Sky’s launch because I didn’t know about the game until 4 months into 2021. I started playing Sky just as dreams ended and when Assembly began (that was my first season). But I wholeheartedly wish that when DoF (Days of Fortune) arrives to the live game, that we could have the opportunity to get the (gazelle) mask for in game currency.

I think having cosmetics appear on npcs, or seeing the old quest givers again, is both a way to give personality to an event as well as a way to make seeing those things in sky less “rare” so to speak. kinda like an answer to having seasons repeat, which I believe would be not only impossible overall given the backlash from players wishing their specific favourite season had been the one chosen, but also especially non-feasible due to revenue loss on tgc’s side. I would love having the old quest givers return for even more events, just to see the look of them and feel their personalities again. particularly now that our resident spirit friend in home is gone

yeah, though seasonal reruns can work as some old players may have came during the mid-ending of that season and can have an opportunity to finish it and can allow new players to experience it (plus for the old veterans in the corner it can be a break from the game as they’ve already completed/don care and can skip)

Is being unable to access a realm because the gate doesn't have its portal a bug?

In order for the portal to appear on a realm's gate (e.g. you want to see prarie portal), you have to go through the previous realm's elder temple and out to the exit (e.g. go through elder temple, through the clouds then you reach prarie lobby. That's how the portal is unlocked)

The old constellation is just there until the devs fix the bugs on the new constellation so they can bring it to us in the next update probably, and the new constellation, as the devs said, is still in early development, and it still needs a lot of testing, it's like a prototype, being honest, i like the new one more than the old one in customization terms, but i find the old one easier to use, i think it's just a matter of time until we get used to it, i think the new constellation system can still improve a lot, and i feel like it will

iOS gets booted for inactivity, but the specific criteria is unknown. Deleting the app itself won’t affect your access if you wish to reinstall at a later time, as long as you don’t press “stop testing” in TestFlight

Though no need to be active at this time since the devs will be on a Holiday break + not much else to test aside from the occasional bug report

Beta ts schedule is 16 weeks behind the live one so beta ts are old live ts not future ones.
In general beta ts says nothing about live ts as they might be replaced by someone else for testing purposes.

what kind of device are you switching to?
if you're moving to the** same device** (android to android, or ios to ios) you need to log on with the same app store account you got beta on
it should be in your purchase history and you can redownload it

but if you're moving across devices (from android to ios or vice versa) you'll need to get a new invite

Hey guys, I recently notice there are some change on the juggler cape, the fur being darker than the one in live, right ?

If it's darker, then I have one question too, usually juggler cape or the christmas cape show white fur even in stranger point of view. So I'm not sure if the fur being darker, strangers will still see the white fur or they will see it all gray?

They haven't mentioned any changes to non-seasonal cosmetics as far as I'm aware, so I'd be guessing it's got more to do with them changing up lighting or material settings that happen to impact on how the cape looks as well, if it's different. Have you tried getting side by side comparisons of them in the same area outside of Home?

Bright is a question of opinion and how a device screen handles highlights.

You don't meet winged lights almost every day during social interactions.

Flight area was adjusted a lot during beta test.

In the very first version it was very bright at sunny sides and too dark in shadows that details were lost. Based on beta player feedback it got its current more balanced look.
