In my opinion it is apparently a contradiction but it is not:

• if you use the boost you make more candles in less time
• stop in the wax areas instead of picking up that particular candle
  They are actually two statements that go in two different directions, but if you think about it those who use the boost and do not do full run do not even get to take those few candles in areas distant from others that are full of them, generally. For those who do full rides it is actually healthier to stop for a moment and talk to the passenger about the case with whom you do not have the chat unlocked, also have the opportunity to make new friends and so on. This is obviously my personal opinion, but if you think about it at the end this (potentially permanent) introduction is not as illogical as it seems at first glance.

The most current night stadium oob bug(in question) makes me think

what if we had a special area, perhaps somewhere in orbit, where we could see every single seasonal constellation even if we haven't participated in it. We can see and summon all the spirit's we personally have had as a seasonal spirit or as a traveling spirit, we can also see what items we have bought and what we didn't, but we cannot make new purchases

the goal for this is for us to be able to check our progress and maybe in far far faaaar future buy the ults when we complete the constellation through the 🚩 flag that appears

Opinion:
Mainly I would say the issue is with the mindset of players assuming these are "passive" candle making spots. But I assume the intention is not to offer alternative way to candle "farm" rather to promote socialising and fill the candle meter for your time. So of course if it was a way to give people option to login and just be idle then afk timer doesn't make sense. But given intention to promote socialising activities it makes sense.

May be once this light system matures we may get more light for time spent on socialising activities than same time spent on mindless candle farming. Until then we can feedback on making the light system better with some patience I guess.

Tbh, even tho I like the idea of idle wax, but removed candles in hotspring kinda leaves me contradicting thoughts, as it was one of little areas where you could collect a lot of wax at once, actually, I was always farming it, cuz it's easily accesssible.

Same actually. It made the trip to Dreams area worthwhile, because, let’s be honest, this place is a bloatware: big empty place that systematically splits handholding upon entry.
The new idle wax spring doesn’t even let you sit and chat. You actually have to swim in circles to collect what little wax it gives. I tested it after Ktjn’s comment yesterday:
Collecting one candle with 2 chevron boost took 10 minutes of active swimming in hot springs. With only 1 chevron, it took me 7 minutes to collect the same amount on an active cr.

My point is, when we’re socializing among friends in Sky, we’re on the move, looking for oob or finding accidental ones, or doing dumb things like racing in Eden. We don’t like to be on an afk leash.

Crab barbecue: knocked over crabs. Left my skid in a “safe” corner by the wall. Indulged myself to a quick run to the loo. Came back to the sound of roaring krill, skid in dark water, red spotlight. Couldn’t get out of there in time, because new controller mapping is sluggish. Wing lights everywhere..

A resting place should be just that. Like the bonfires, or grandma’s fireplace.

Yes this is the case only in the hot springs as the light there behave exactly like the snow 🌨 orbs that fell when grandma was out in the cold before... They had to be collected. It would be better if the light that appeared there homed in on the sky kid as with all other light emitting social areas newly intro'd

True. Do feedback if not done already. All social light areas should have this - candle free option to chat. Otherwise there won't be an incentive to stay there for 'socialising with strangers' and I think not many come with a bunch of friends to a remote location just for socialising (aka why shared spaces are not picking up...)

Graphics quality dropped significantly in this build. Everything is more blocky (aliasing). Fps feels much lower in each settings and 60 fps is gone on my phone whereas it works on live. (Already reported as a bug)

We had that one time , it was a play / test thing from one of the devs that forgot to delete it , where in eden we could see the seasonal constellations besides the regular constellations. I seem to go through only like 3 out of 10 times... I restarted the app and tried. It was the same. When I try to flap the wings as soon as I enter the hermit Valley it seems to work... I somehow make it through without hitting the warp point. Otherwise I think my skykid faces the wrong direction so comes back or the skykid is positioned such they as soon as the hermit Valley tunnel loads, I hit the clouds and turn 180° almost immediately..

Misplaced as in.. May be i spawn the other side too close to the clouds rather than in the center of the tunnel... Or I'm spawning before the warp point for some reason so hit the warp point as soon as the other area loads. Either way it seems the tunnel needs to be increased in size cuz we can't flap or aim to fly exactly to the center of the tunnel always...

Anyway filed a bug as I would not* expect to aim and fly correctly to get to the other side properly... I tried all other tunnels they seem fine. Especially I remember hitting hermit Valley a lot of times without issues in previous builds. It could be the reworked camera system may be? I mean there's this wonky camera shake and sky kid moving from side to side as an animation when we enter/exit these tunnels... May be it is a tad too much in hermit Valley tunnel that I turn back because of it.

geyser wax has a significant amount of variance because of how you can get 3 different sizes of urchins: as a rough guess, could be anywhere from as little to 2/3 to double that of one of grandma's dinners, assuming the dinner wax is consistent

I’m not sure I understand your question. My only point was that the mods are just players like us with no power to enforce copyright issues on other platforms. They would probably just pass the information along to a dev, so why not send it directly to the designated person(s) instead.

i use 1-2 instant recharges weekly, so i coulf see myself rearranging my daily candle and ac spending to fit these in to make my runs more enjoyable

It also depends on your Vulkan drivers. Outdated drivers aren't as optimized as newer drivers on any graphics calls. Example on the range of Vulkan versions on Android: Android 8.0 launched with Vulkan 1.0.3 whilst Android 11 launched with Vulkan 1.1.128. That is a big difference in versioning and saying there were a lot of changes between the two would be an understatement.

as with any game, regardless of the platform. as time goes by, the game becomes more complex, and older hardware will eventually hit a point where it cannot be feasibly supported. we do our best with ongoing optimizations, but there will eventually be a time when it's up to players to update their hardware.

That said, we did recently updated GPU ratings to account for newer hardware, has caused some older GPUs to now fall below the "recommended" specs to run Sky. Eng is working on it, but i don't have an ETA.

When I was doing a performance check on all areas, Forest was one that used the CPU more than most areas. It could be due to a background app taking too many CPU cycles. For those curious about testing— you need and invite code to do beta testing! Beta testing opens at random! They do not give you warning ahead of time— at random means at random after a certain number of people leave I believe they open testing up once more!

In a good world manufacturers would not overtweak their droids or would deliver well written updates at least to make an acceptable environment for the game. Looking at the other side: Sky devs want to develop something which should work but these manufacturers with their poor codes pull them backwards.
On development side the easiest and most bugfree solution would be to support high end devices only. The issues really started around sanctuary when compatibility was expanded to midrange and budget phones. We would not face so many issues but that would be game over for most phones which we don't want. So devs try out new updates, try to tweak and twist settings to see what will work for most phones and what won't. Beta is a test, they are also testing with us and I'm sure they got many useful information with the crashes and already working on it to make it available for a wider range of phones in better screen quality.

Greetings beta testers, I have questions regarding the new 4 wax spots. But first, has it been discussed already so I can read that first, and can it be discussed in the first place

Ibsuppose the spots work like the summer light bonfire, slowly releasing wax over time. I allso assume there is a finite amout of resources, once a spot has been depleted it no longer gives wax. I'm wondering if, for example, I go to one spot, suck it dry untill it no longer gives wax, do the other 3 spots still have a full amount of wax I can suck dry or is it one shared pool, meaning if I collect everything at one spot, the other 3 are empty and dry

In general once you reached 10 candles collected through any passive method - geyser event, feast event, any of the 4 spots in realms and etc you no longer get wax in any of these spots anymore

So for example I got 10 candles only from the geyser the bonfire will no longer give me wax@bronze garden

I don't think we're supposed to be discussing in game trades this way. Currently it's against the ToS. Just the new way within beta I could be wrong..

This is a really bad idea for both sides involved

1. It's against TOS to give control of your account to someone else
2. When your account is under someone else's control, you are completely at their mercy if they decide to just...not give you control back, let alone mess things up
3. There is a technical issue that is outside of our control that means using one Google/Apple account to buy things for multiple Sky accounts can result those players losing items, even those completely unrelated to a particular purchase. We mention it in our FAQs:

The rule is that the gift card of each country is valid only in its own country, for example, an American can not give me a gift card.

@snow dune I'm reasonably certain google's terms aren't forcing anything, but it does sound like you are actively making decisions that compromise the security of your account in order to circumvent google's ToS or EULA.
