I think one of the biggest lines between the community is "f2p" and iap consumers. However as long as people would be willing to debate, pick and claw at that topic; it's very simplified to me and not worth arguing or debating over.

The IAPs provided are cosmetic items. They adjust only appearance and otherwise functional items such as the Bonsai Tea table are simply a table, with tea. These items do not produce or change the outcome of Sky or limit/decrease/increase the skill cap or availability of what can be done in Sky. This applies to TLP debate as well. They are simply digital, cosmetic/appearance items. And TGC is simply a business/company that happens to be engaged with their community. For many people on the market that can be a fault. As shown in large, globally spread products - you don't have to say much of anything. People will still buy. TGC chooses to be more involved. And well, this fact is used as a argumentive fault.

But the line in the community seems to be that they feel these IAPs are more or less seperating one person from another. While in the end, they are just digital cosmetics. Fully knowing as well, nobody will play Sky forever. And Sky will not always be, if even years and years down the road, an active project that is lively maintained and tended to.

It is but a moment in now, that will pass in time to come. And debates like as of now over 3 (now 2) items having such headbutts between f2p and iap are.. well.. very inconsequential and unnecessary.

And of course, ultimately, there will always be the next cosmetic to argue over.

If the items were on the pass, it wouldn't make a difference to me personally besides how much I spend on day 1 to go from A to B. But players and consumers seem to think there is a bridge that is meant to be made (if not required or entitled) where there is not. :pPopcorn:

Yes. With or without explanation I think it should have been obvious or understandable unless someone did not, or never had the principle idea of what it means for two marketing groups to collaborate: that if the host is to take on the material of another market, they will owe fee to them for their content. It should be expected but, as of what has been seen since the sparked debate happened.. it is not. Enough so that a body suit was transferred from IAP to seasonal pass, which probably did not happen with ease of mind for whomever group chose to do that.

More so.. accessories in the past have been upwards $20. Capes, swingset, etc. Why another cape+suit being $25 and a suit being $20 is suddenly disgruntling is well.. it's not. People simply want these cosmetics available to a currency they can afford.

The leeway is that it is now provided in the pass. The pajama/green suit, anyways. You unfortunately cannot satisfy any customer or consumer who wants something they cannot have unless you give it to them. But that is not how business works. =/

People in this iap deflection are far too misunderstanding, unwilling to understand and lacking rationale about it. More so, a body suit has been moved to the pass now. That's 1/3rd of the agenda anyone wanted. To ask for more is.. silly. But consumers consume. It is what it is. I only hope tgc remains firm with what remains of their tlp iaps, give or take the fox. And stick with the green suit being added to the UG, as is the fairness of past ultimate gifts. Otherwise all it is saying really is that as soon as something "cool" comes into the iap shop, it will be a riot.

As if the iap shop can only hold items that are lack of quality or "tolerable."

The rioting that happened on Sunday while heated.. was varied if you looked hard enough. there were more than a few pointing out the possibility of collab and the specific circumstances of this season. It was frustrating sifting through the same "tgc greed" points though, can agree there.

I don't see TGC coming to a compromise with these IAPS, as a sign that they will now cave to every future outburst. They're capable of disregarding complaints they don't think are valid, they've done it before with other Iaps and will do it again. Rest assured. Ideally though, the community should only act heated when necessary, and not for their personal reasons but, yeah.

Where we might disagree is that I think there were compelling enough reasons to move things around for once, none that was backed by unconscious consumerism or disgruntled feelings on f2p vs iap.

I resonate with your take that people may be blinded by what they can't have, and that the community over-fixates on cosmetics. But I think that conclusion--consumers can't help want what they can't have--is an uncharitable painting of why these changes happened. thanks for the thoughts .

ok you know how in the book the rose actually dies? the baobab threes eventually overgrow the planet and their roots break the asteroid mini planet.

as we already know that suspicious star is actually the LP's home with the original rose. We see the rose in blue colours because that is not the rose herself, she died on her planet, we see her astral projection.

anyways the rose will die and the planet will be destroyed by the baobabs. but that's a too sad ending for us skids......
wait, don't we have a similar planet system hidden in the clouds in starlight desert? Sounds good enough to be a new home right? But the litttle prince needs his rose.....Well...DONT WE HAPPEN TO HAVE HER AS AN ULT??

Sky Devs work hard to build beautiful cutscenes only for them to be lost after the seasons end. Why should that have to be? Also, what does AP have to do with it anyways? We don’t need them to relieve TS. No one mentioned anything about AP.

It’s kinda like my favorite games. They hit different when I come back to them, like Breath of Fire 3. Or the Phantasy Star Universe series. There is a nostalgic feeling that I love and makes me feel emotions again too.

ah, for that to work, the player being led needs to not own the spirit, and the player leading needs to have the spirit already. if you were doing a daily quest, it does not show since both players own the spirit (i presume).

Wouldn’t be an issue for me. I’m actually really good with carry spirits. A controller makes things so much easier. I only really had issue with Laidback Pioneer and that was because someone came along and took him from me while we were under shelter and made it vanish because the rain.

I agree, maybe we should send feedback. It’s kinda sad that a lot of players have to wait for TS just to get some fancy pants. Out of every Spirit from the past seasons that had pants available only 1 was free to get during the season and that was Postman’s Pants. It would just be nice to have a couple free ones here and there.

I am sure they are working on it. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. I personally can't wait to jump ship from Android and just use Switch in live. (Sadly, my beta screenshots and videos would still suffer, though.) Edit: @crisp matrix #beta-known-issues talks about some in game text missing, exposing code strings. I assume the quest text is part of it. When in doubt, bug report, though. Better reporting a known issue than not reporting a new bug.

Since the seasonal spirits now are available for everyone, it wouldn't be completely out of the question to have them as relive quests. But I think TGC generally considers the amount of time it takes to do the quests daily, so they wouldn't impose the worst guided ones on us.

Late response, but I think that’s actually a thing: there have been rare instances where players will see their QG honking (I’ve seen it with the Dreams guide) — not sure if it’s some kind of Easter egg reminding you to pick up quests, or just some really freaky behaviour from a forgotten feature/oversight

As someone who has not read the book, i still can understand what's happening here though
The prince had a rose as a friend, whom he abandoned and went on his own adventures. Each quest is you getting to know him more, you get to more about his place, his rose and stuff. While the rose keeps dying away alone on the planet. I don't really understand why there are trees growing on his planet slowly, with each quest, is it like a good thing, more trees more friends?
What I'm getting is the prince has forgotten his old friend, who still longs for him, and he shouldn't have done that. (The 5th quest ||is basically his realisation of this fact that he's responsible for the rose and he's wrong in what he's doing||)

The 4th and the 5th quests are really where the story picks up, i love them. The 4th one ||makes him remember his rose, makes him realise that she was unique, after he sees all those roses , none is as beautiful as his own. ||
The 5th one ||makes him regret his decisions sort of, he realises he was responsible for his rose, for she was the only one he tamed. And shouldn't have left her.||
All this with the rose slowly suffering, as his planet is getting destroyed while he's slowly realising is heartbreaking. It's amazing

In the book, ||the prince gets killed by the snake but they didn't mention if the rose dies or not but like we can assume she did die because she had no one to take care of her for a whole year and there were huge trees growing in the planet that will destroy it in the end because no one removed them and they're too big for the planet. By skipping the 22 SC blessing node voi, that gives you four more days of wiggle room. That node is one right before the seasonal heart. So you don’t need it to get cosmetics. Also 22 candles just for a blessing is just too much imo so you can totally skip it if you don’t have AP.

I guess they make the season last longer than usual in sky cause it is a really special one since it is 1st. a collaboration, 2nd. The first one on the Switch and 3rd. The 10th Season (kinda special).
So making it last longer makes sense. Also, if a season lasts longer, it would be weird if they would not increase the prices, since you have more time to collect candles, otherwise you are done with the season kinda early and it would get a lil boring then.

Well for assembly you need 68,6 (well 69 days... and cause of that double seasonal wax 68) days to completely finish the season as a free-player.
In Sanctuary you just needed 54.8 (55) days to complete it as a free-player.
Between these 2 seasons the prices increased (for Prophecy and Dreams you needed 312 as a free player aka 62.4 (63) days) so yeah... the prices are increasing for quite a while now @drowsy wave

Sanctuary cosmetics weren’t my favorites, but a lot of other player loves them and wants to wear them. It’s ok to like different things.

I wasn't on board when it first came out but when I unlocked one after another, I came to love them. Finally a good capes to pair with Prophecy Pants and it's a pleasant change from all the flashy and colorful capes.

Even if you do not like the capes there are also other things in the season that you could cheer about. The star projector is gorgeous, nice hairs, pretty pants, beautiful seasonal areas, good story, and great seasonal quests! I think everyone can at least find something they like about this season. And it ain’t just about cosmetics.

As for IAPs, licensed products could be costly cuz they probably need to pay the licensor a part of the profit afaik. So it’s understandable for me.

Sending feedback won’t always reflect in updates, since there are so many players out there, everyone has their own opinions. TGC won’t just sway to one just because someone requested it.

These seasonal quests are the best ones yet in my opinion due to the interaction and possibilities you can bring to it.

I think it was too obvious that we had to lead him out, i almost skipped the dark plant part because i started flying up straight. I like the idea of these spots where he speaks, but learning from previous seasons especially the first day when a quest comes out most of the players just rush it.

It only happens if I press the arrow symbol (for slow spiral) and the hand symbol (for normal spiral). My friend let's go and we both switch back from Piggyback to holding hands/or my friend let's go, I couldn't see since it happened so quickly.

We were doing the Trials and we wanted to skip Earth, Air and Fire Trial using the spiral trick

I think what it meant is the cost to unlock all LPP spirits is balanced to the total amount of seasonal candles we could get in the amount of time left in the season.

Some spirits have items that they don't sell or it isn't from anywhere or it does be from other spirits
Example for that are the capes from belonging
But TGC started opting to don't use these extra cosmetics on spirits cause it's confusing
