Well, the rose being the ultimate gift means that no overlapping cosmetics. I think Assembly spoiled me with 4 ultimate gifts, I expect LPP to do something similar and have the IAPs as ultimate gifts, instead of locking them behind an expensive paywall.

It is important to remember that the little prince story is not by TGC and the company who owns the story needs to create a profit also, hence why there’s probably seasonal IAPs in the first place. It’s copyrighted content not owned by TGC, I think it makes sense to have the items that actually are copyrighted be IAP. Messy hair and a rose isn’t copyrighted, and none of the other spirit items are an exact replica. Only the IAPs are exact replicas

Chinese servers are run by NetEase, and they have power over what happens in there, not TGC.

Hello! I have a few insights regarding the cosmetics this season!

While in an artistic and storytelling perspective, making the capes dull makes sense but.. just because it's meant to be dull doesn't mean that it should all be grey.

It would have been better if they went with a dull, or "boring" color palette, with for example, maybe mauve or some sepia? Something that gives the impression of "old" and "lifeless", to give that very "adult" impression.

But, I respect whatever TGC's artistic direction will go, whatever the final product is. Just sharing some thoughts! :>

On the contrary, the book itself, though entitled "The Little Prince", was mostly about the little prince's adventures and the adults he came across with - the spirits we got to meet this season.

Meanwhile, since he's the main protagonist and most loveable character in the book, I'd understand that the owners of LPP/ TLP will want to have his merch sold reasonably.

The pajama, cape, fox and fancy pants might be actual products of the owners of LPP, and not necessarily owned nor created by TGC themselves. Notice the exact similarity of their iconic designs which was from the book. Those are probably trademarked products and therefore cannot be given by TGC for free/ cheaply from $10 IAP.

The rose is part of the story but honestly is rarely involved in anything, the item although pretty serves no purpose and it'll be taking up a spot of an actual functional item (lantern, instruments, torch etc) which means people will rarely be using it. I get the concept of the rose being a part of the original plot, and how important she is in the story. However, the rose/ a flower in the actual book does not have a trademarked design, as compared to the little prince himself, as well as his actual very iconic look.

We can't have those trademarked and copyright materials become available anytime randomly if and when a TS comes back. Hence, the IAP. Regarding its price, for all I know, it's not only TGC who decided on the price, since both TGC and the LPP owners had a say on this upcoming event.

Meanwhile, a rose is just a flower. We even already have an existing rose now, from the Days of Love.. which explains why the rose came with the AP. It doesnt have a trandemarked design, and can be interpreted by TGC in any way they see fit.

I like to think that ultimates are merely commemorative, rather than the best item in the set. Sure, having the little prince cosmetics in the AP rather than the IAP would be preferable, but I don't think everything has to have a function for it to be nice. To me the owl hair doesn't look like it's worth the effort, but to others it's beautiful. I like the rose as an ultimate, even if others should be added in. But everyone has a different opinions. How much effort you put in should make you feel accomplished, not the end all be all for the best item in the game

Pfft okay, some people care, but TGC doesn't so what does it matter? It's obvious how many people are dissatisfied with the rose because it doesn't add up. Not only comparing to other seasons, but in this season itself the ultimate gift right now feels worse than all other items on the AP.

I remember most ultimates being disliked from rhythm onwards, except the prophecy mask and the dreams cape, and the draw to previous ultimates is usually because they aren’t available even from ts.
What I think the difference between previous ults and this season’s ultimates is that most ultimates you can recognise, like the rhythm hair or the mantra cape or even hand pan, but this season they could easily be looked over as a basic cosmetic not a “woah that’s interesting, where did you get it?”
The only people I can imagine who do like the ultimate is the poor sky players who have been begging for more masculine hairstyles since forever

By word of god Bhutan-inspired and animal mask theme, deer mask fits with the theme and is generally impressive
Distinct delicate, glowing theme, ultbrella expands on the theme and aesthetic and is a sort of beautifully upgraded Pioneer umbrella
Family theme, the bonfire is a cosy and welcoming item to gather with as we see the family do in the final cutscene - generally heartwarming, unique item
Birds and circuses theme, striking mask for an extravagant troupe and a funny unique hairstyle following the bird theme with its feathers
Sort of a cross between Arab/Middle Eastern inspired (mages from Persian origin?) and magic aesthetics, tassels and turban can be associated with those cultures but also designed in a sense for that magical theme
General theme of refuge, showcases the manta subspecies - handpan is a calm instrument associated with that sort (also reminds me of archetypal ‘beach’ calypso and steel pans), manta cape is long-awaited and fits
Ominous themes. Seemingly African-inspired. The talking drum that the QG plays is significant, and then also the mask that strongly resembles Anubis - godly and definitely impressive, also considering Anubis’ entire purpose, is foreboding and works
Not the items of the QG, but eventually significant as the skater’s debutante costume upon their dreams come true - memorable in that sense
Fits with theme of childhood and simply having fun, not exactly impressive to say but significant items in terms of the entire scouting, they represent the troop

If I say what I love, I loved the new area, it was way above my expectation, it was huge and it fits the Vault perfectly. The spirits are gorgeous and the animations are like a movie. I would love to be the Little Prince in such an amazing season. I hope TGC doesn't leave us disappointed with this IAP

this is a mere theory of mine : at first the Ancestors were very very close to the Light. but the more time passed the more they stray further away form the Light. Then somedya they couldnt even remember what it feels like to connect with The Light. They started forget the Light, and become stray further.

the fact is, they never actually got disconnected from The Light. but they overlooked it since they didnt see it with their own eyes (you know how human prefer to believe soemthing they could see with their own eyes? yep, like that). this is when they become even more daring and got interested with the opposite of their creator : Darkness. It was a mere curiosity, but then they dwelve even deeper and start to become part of that darkness (the act of consuming it, etc)

There used to be one ts each off season week . They removed that system because players found it exhausting to keep up with them this fast. Iirc that system was before the pricing change, when spirits were cheaper but it was still a pressure.

There can be 2 reasons:
After Season of Assembly ended, there were still candles in the realms, i just collect 2 of them , and then never did. But when i bought the LP pass, i got 30 candles and then 1 more for forgable. Maybe that was from the wax i collected after season of assembly. So that YouTuber could've possibly collected all the candles after assembly end, for those few days they were present.
Second, if were on ios, they could've reverted to the build in which the season got activated and could've collected candles for a few days, when we were waiting for the season to properly start

I’m inclined to agree, as an LGBTQ+ person myself. I hate to say this but it’s borderline profiting off of pride month. Yes, I’m glad they are donating all the proceeds from the IAP to charity but the only justification for making such an expensive cape is profits. As far as I know those profits made from candle purchases stay with TGC

Others can only see it you have missing spirit and if they have or know where the spirit is.
If someone accepts to guide you, you both get an accept screen.
You then light up and hold hands without a candle.
The guider honks and the spirit needed shows up.
They guide you over to start it.
You let go of hands when it starts so you can't get kidnapped too much

Secondly personally would think it's better if they do a proper collab then to try to twist of the original characters into something that looks like a rip off of LPP. That's just my opinion tho. Make the prince as a seasonal spirit with the pant and the cape. One pant and the fox to the ultimate gift. So there will be four ultimate gifts and because it's 7 spirit if they add prince the the seasonal spirit part and 7 heart's. 1=Rose, 1=Prince hair 1=Fox 2=pants 2=pants. And because it's 7 spirit so they need to reduce all item cost in the seasonal spirit tree until it was balanced

yeah honestly.. i mean im grateful the cape isn't actual money of all things but the flower disappoints me a little. i wouldn't expect that accessory to be the one to be so expensive, yknow? maybe if the cape was the one costing money, and the flower was candles it'd make more sense.. all personal opinion obviously but i think if you want to make a charity donation via prices in your game, you should try making the items bought more worthwhile :D

I think it’s more about the donation itself. You can donate plus you get a little something for the donation. It’s not really about the flower.

For say, if you are providing a message to raise awareness to folks to help these charities, imo it would be better to have multiple range of values to donate , for say i supported the idea of both earth cape and ocean cape to be back during days of nature + the necklace because it gave folks so many options of values to donate. This increases better awareness for public to contribute to the charity

Not necessarily. They probably have the insight to predict which is the closest to ideal price for these kind of events to raise the most amount of money, and still be accessible for that player group who is most likely willing and can donate. Its hard to tell from the outside tho.

Well, the Switch bundle is staying forever, as far as we know. So that's $30 less already. And again, it's always a personal decision of you want to buy IAP. Nobody is forcing anybody. Your money, your choice.
