As far as I know, technically Android and IOS only differences are because of the system and time of release. So that's why they're trying to figure out how to add the headphones and made a muting system, and also why we get traveling spirits and are thinking about how ultimates could come back. So theoretically both iOS and Android have the same except the system limitations and what still hasn't come back!

Switch is different and actually planned something special

Sorry for late reply, so not pinging anyone. But yeah, I also don’t understand why there should be a specific Android celebratory pack. There isn’t one for iOS, other than maybe the Anni hat. And that one has now been made more generic, probably in time for 2nd birthday.
The Switch pack is most probably a Nintendo thing that came with the deal for the console.

Android has limitations that are beyond TGC’s control, such as how the devices handle sounds, but the headphones aren’t even a cosmetic you can buy anywhere. They just annoyingly appear on your Sky kid.

I have an iphone but I only discovered the game during Belonging. The only ultimates I got which android couldn’t get are the Rhythm ones. So it’s not like all ios players have all previous ultimates anyway.

You could look iOS having the office as a special area/or the early beta testers but then TGC has opened it up so anyone can buy access if they have a friend to show them in the office in the first place. ....

I think it's important to remember that no matter the device-- everyone didn't start at the exact same time. iOS players didn't all start with the global release, and not all Android peeps started with Android release. And i doubt every Switch player will start on Switch release. Someone will always miss something, that's inevitable.

A somewhat harsh reality is that Android was not an entirely new platform, it was an extension of mobile. It took a considerable amount of work to bring Sky to Android, but from a publishing standpoint operate nearly identically when it comes to development and content release. It's fairly common practice for studios to make agreements with console publishers for special accommodations. If you do not play games on xbox/ps/nintendo you may not be aware of this precedent. At the time of Android's release, the studio was considerably smaller with limited resources.

Do you honestly think TGC wants to seperate ios and android players? If you are doing a project , there is a set due date on when it should be done and release, they can't delay ios launch because of android because its a huge waste of resources and money.

I think exclusivity deals are a fine reality but it just feels a little jarring against the rest of Sky. That said although the switch area is a cool nod , I wouldn't buy a switch just for that. It's just nice harmless extra relaly. ..I'm sure we will accept it in time.

I think you're forgetting that tgc was an indie game studio. Launching on an another platform must have been a huge deal in itself at the time. They had limited resources to pull it off

The nice thing about partnering with nintendo is that sky remains entirely free to access, no nintendo online subscription needed, cross-play will be enabled so that mobile and switch players can make friends. and we have cross-save for folks who maybe don't have the best mobile devices for a stunning graphics experience.

Cosmetics are what you describe yourself as when playing and experiencing the game. Let your cosmetics be part of your identity rather than items that need to be grabbed. You want more stuff, you wait patiently for what you need to come. When you finally get the cosmetics you want, the sense of achievement is very high. You may show off to your friends. 😂 Patience is definitely a virtue and at such times keeping it low is the wisest thing to do.

You can probably scroll the #beta-screenshots-videos channel to get an idea of outfit combos. It's also entirely possible that aesthetic changes may be made before live release.

Personally i do like the random aspect-- at least when it comes to the solid coloured trails. It do kinda force you to coordinate with friends on the colours you don't have if you want to make a rainbow trail, or anything else fun. Though the actual rainbow trial itself would be fantastic not being tied to RNG

Thanks Mer. I can’t give winged lights to the statues in Eden. The statues are yellow. And after dying and going to orbit I can’t buy anything from the constellations or the Elder spirits . There was a few friends who reported a server error problem in Eden including me. When I reached to 5th statue, giving light prompted with server error. chibi fall - screen freeze and crash
holding onto someone who chibi falls - screen freeze and crash
someone else chibi falls (and thus crashes) on the same server - no effect
piggyback faint - sometimes freeze and crash for person carried, other times works like normal
spiral downwards through something (person who carries) - screen freeze and crash
spiral downwards through something (person carried) - no freeze or crash
spiral upwards through something - no freeze or crash for either
rocket (empty sky or through something) - works like normal, when you stop there's a weird split second like you're standing on something but it works like normal otherwise

Hi Beth! I just had this error too when reaching the sand hill next to the last 3 statues. Using the controller i could proceed anyway, but then i just restarted the app and could proceed and give lights to some more statues, so i am sure i lit every statue. But i only got 14 Eden candles.

In my first run the error happened after giving light to last 5th statue. I restarted and tried to proceed, but when I gave light to 4th statue same error occurred. I didn’t have enough wings left to try for last 3 so I’m not sure. But I suspect giving lights to those statues are bugged atm. The home trick was possible due to menu manipulation. since we've updated our menus with the completely recoded UI, this glitch is no longer possible. Relying on glitches to circumvent game mechanics is always going to be unreliable in the long term, even if we don't fix them immediately, they will eventually get resolved.

When the ts first came out and it was bugged we helped a lot of ppl to activate it There was barely any wait involved to be able to open the door, merges were so common and players had something in there which worth to go in and wait for the door.
What i wanted to say that normally i wouldnt wait 10 + minutes for 4 strangers to merge and get a candle cake. If that makes sense.

I assume you’re asking about whether you drop your piggyback when going through areas. They patched it so now your piggyback doesn’t drop each time you go through an area. Finally, we can carry our friends through entire levels now.

That was not a patch to our Chibi Fall or Piggyback tricks. The Devs have already confirmed that NOTHING that causes a crash or freeze is on purpose. It is not intentional. It will probably get fixed in the next update if they can figure out exactly what is causing the crashing. Ktjn said they think it’s from the stepping thing. Here’s the message;

I will share what I’d said to my other friends here too;

They will surely find a fix. I highly doubt the Devs would request players to give them their favorite OOB spots, add an OOB Explorer role, and say they don’t intentionally fix our tricks only to go back on all of that to purposely and maliciously make our games crash when doing those tricks.

Nothing that causes crashing or freezing is purposeful. The Devs have known about our tricks for nearly two years now. They didn’t care to stop us all this time so why would people assume now is different?

Also, Home Trick has technically had a work around ever since it stopped working on Eden Krill as they still take your energy. Yet, despite the Devs having “fixed” it there they never brought that outside of Eden. So they purposely left our Home Trick alone outside of Eden which is honestly pretty kind of them since there was never an intended block for Krill. They are like the only enemy in the game that can really do enough damage to be legitimately scary to most players. Instrument Trick still works and the shop’s ? menu will also protect you.

All bugs are worth fixing. Bugs and glitches are two completely separate entities. Home glitch got its name because it shouldn't happen. Nowhere in the code should make you immune to krill attacks. That's a glitch a bug is an error in coding. Imagine you want an algorithm for server splitting and merging. If player within 5 units of another player, don't split. If at 4.5 units they split due to a calculation error, that's a bug. there's some oobs you can get into without glitches too, though! Like for one in dreams area, you fly above the clouds and near where the clouds reach a crack in a cliff -- and the wind barrier actually helps push you into the cliff! Yeah, I notice because ever since I was little, aliasing lines and the shimmer caused by them would give me headaches if I played longer than 15mins. I always had to compensate graphical features to keep AA at its highest to avoid them in PC games.

Since the daily light system was introduced in live I've noticed I rarely visit wasteland. In fact the only time I visit it is when there are daily seasonal quests there.
Could be just me and my friends but I think unless wasteland will get a new season or another one of those passive light collecting options, the realm is going to be underused.

I mean the system can naturally underline which realms were popular and which weren't lore wise.

You don't need to know every hiding place, though. I haven't been spotted by krill in Eden or wasteland (except when playing hide and seek with a hiding spot near an aggro point) in at least 5 months. You just gotta know the pathing. Sometimes waiting 20seconds for a patrolling krill to pass is better than knowing every nook and cranny of a level.

If you can't replicate doing the exact same movements, then it is most likely not a game issue and more of a device issue. 99% of game related crashes can be replicated doing the same actions as the code doesn't change each session. Edit: to clarify, devices run other programs and things, like the kernel, network traffic, GPS updates, etc all the time and sometimes, if your device hiccups doing those actions, the game can crash due to your device and not the game... If your device was coded horribly... This is very noticeable on Motorola/Lenovo Android devices.

Eden works for me, just don't grab the statue before the dunes. You'll get a server connection error until you restart the app

it’s not that, but more like everything else tgc has been trying to get us to do. the new candle, system, the multiple people needed quests, the trying to not let people afk. those friends have been thinking about quitting for awhile. i think this was just the one thing that managed to break the dam

i get that, but

• afk system has gone nowhere since its announcement, we only have indicators
• multiple people needed for quests is annoying but the maximum for treehouse quests are 4, so i think asking around can help? they put some of the scavenger hunt quests as dailies to encourage people to gather around

It's because I know it was a joke since I said it. Doing a cursory Discord search for Carry Rocket and piggyback rocket, my post is the only one that says it would be removed. And it is a joke, especially since no staff has said otherwise... I'll just remove it since people take it so seriously.

the thing that i don't quite understand is people thinking that rocket is going to get patched. it still works in beta, albeit a tiny bit harder to control

it’s hard for players to do when they don’t have many friends in the same time zone, including me. and it can forever before your server merges to someone other people looking for help. i already have social anxiety by having to interact with random people, but my anxiety just sky rockets when I have to wait for ten minutes for 3 other people
