I felt a lot of grief following the emote spam glitch - it being what me as a little moth grew up with

Playing the game as it was intended is nice and all but after playing for so long, Sky gets repetitive let's be real. These glitches can be what's keeping the game interesting for a lot of old players. Would TGC really rather have those players stop playing just to force people to play as intended? Probably an unintended fix that they'll hopefully reverse or something since they have acknowledged the oob community several times. If it does go live though, well, it's been a good time

We don't punish people for using the glitch, but that doesn't mean we won't fix glitches, so it's in your own interest to not rely on them. Glitching to avoid taking damage from Krill is definitely unintended behavior. You either run and hide or take the damage.

It seems to be random. I've gotten through both glitch spots a couple times without crashing. It works sometimes. =_= Hammock can get you inside 2nd Floor Door if you're big. I tried to do it as chibi and just crashed, but when I was big, I got through without crashing. But I was also taken under platform by a chibi and didn't crash, so it seems to be random.

Oh! I found out that if you have an instrument and ‘use it’, the krill’s light will turn blue if it spots you! (Not sure if this works for other things tho, I know it works for the regular piano) this I found in the beta btw

They don't lose sight of me when I use the instrument, however, I don't lose light when they hit me, so this isn't wrong. You can also hit home to minimize apps on iPhone (I have to hit home twice) and wait until the red light vanishes then reenter the app and it won't hit you.

Its a little different. In live they face you and then ignore you, but in beta they actually turn/tilt their head to look at you when you walk by

Welcome to beta! Please leave a bug report in #beta-bugs-ios or #beta-bugs-android. Just react to the purple flame and respond to the bots questions. It has a question on what you were doing so TGC can try to replicate.

If the Assembly lantern vs Summer lights lantern would be like the Rainbow vs Healing flowers it’d be like the Days of Summer Lights lantern but it has a blue light instead of orange.

I've always used the piano to avoid the krill and my timing got better slowly. Now i just open the piano just as the krill is about to hit me and close it as soon as it does. So for me, it's the fastest way to avoid it the glitch way

Fun fact: if you flap your wings hard and fly away from it pretty far, the Krill can't reach you at some point, but that requires practice and quite a few of Wing Wedges, so I'd generally recommend the usual spiel with "PANIC AND FRANTICALLY SWIPE TO HIDE BEHIND STRUCTURES" technique

Okay. So after getting smacked around by Krill for science, I've found a sufficient replacement for the home trick.

Pull the piano out just as the krill is going to strike. Stops you from abandoning the burn spot too long and.. keeps your light safe from harm.

Takes a bit of getting used to. I.e getting the timing down. But it works.

It's a completely normal thing to see something like this in the industry based on what I've seen (look at PS4 only capes in Genshin Impact for instance), it's just an fun incentive for Switch players since they've missed out on so much content while the development was and still is ongoing.

Piano trick isn't new, and there's also shop trick that works the same as home trick
As long as something makes you unable to move, it'll help defend against krill
So any instrument or ui/menu that doesn't let you move works the same as home trick

table only works if youre small iirc, because if your model can clip through the top of the table you'll get targeted. people say bookshelf can help, tent might be a good alternative too for cover? but i dont have those so i cant say for sure

About the area with the TS, the chibi trick in the ceiling still work

before the season of assembly is released into live, bookshelf used to look different, it literally is covered on the back. that's why people are able to hide from krills using it. That is why now, the current bookshelf is altered to be see through now as the back of the shelf is removed, there is no cover anymore. so people cant use bookshelf as shield anymore. tho unsure if you are able to do that currently.
