As for me, there are 3 main factors for an area to be considered big

1. The actual size of it (ofc)
2. The amount of wax/wl it has
3. The time it takes to collect all the wax/wl in the area. (wax/wl distribution)

wl is secondary since we need to collect it once per week at best

Since hermit valley is technically another area of it's own village of dreams for me feels MUCH smaller than citadel.

Imagine if citadel had only 2 cake candles 1 on top of the gates where the shrine is and 1 on the top tower with WL. that's how dreams feels to me.

and then there's the threehouse which for some reason feels both empty and overcrowded/overconcentrated

I agree on the treehouse feeling very small, in comparison, we had the ark and the area was a lot more wider with the caves in the back to the two sunken ships in the front
But to be fair, I think the devs concentration this season was on introducing a new type of quest event
I don’t mind that ><
Dreams felt big to me, because the area of exploration increased a bunch. The village itself, but also hermit valley — I guess that’s what makes me think a seasonal expansion is big
I feel that village is very empty though :(

What seasonal area do you guys go into the most? For sentimental reason?

Ark is hard to get around, there's just a large open area that serves no purpose other than requiring you to fly across it

It's absolutely ok to have small or no expansions at all.

However if you want to have the area explored daily you need well distributed wax.

I don't see myself visiting tge treehouse for any reason other than collecting the WL and taking the overpowered shortcuts

I like to think of that open space being there to make you feel the vast emptiness of a desert... and in that way that section servers it’s purpose to make ark feel so isolated

I just wish they had more plants. Living in the Sonora Desert, I can tell you, you'd be surprised what plants can survive living in a desert. (juniper trees, Ash trees, Honey Mesquite, Mimosa trees... Just to name a few)

I welcomed the big area on one hand... but I just didn’t understand why we were given such a huge area with almost nothing to do in it except traverse it... I’ll be honest, I was low key hoping for a sledding race when I see the peeking postman’s memories

yeah, it was. belonging brought multiple smaller areas, not a whole area for the season like we've been getting recently. that only started during enchantment onwards.

Since it was an era before all spirits were added in a single new area, I'd still consider it seasonal areas for that season. It was before a lot of new formats the player base has come accustomed to, like a full seasonal quest line (before, the closest you had was new daily quests, like seek the light) and dedicated quest giver in the new area, and the new area that housed all the spirits/QG.

Just keep that in mind, that at any time, if TGC deems it necessary, all your cosmetics and currency can be wiped for testing things, like a new currency system. So, don't get too attached with items in beta.

No, android testers don’t get access wipes, all beta testers are still subject to lose all progress at any point

The difference between the two is that an access wipe takes away your ability to download new beta build updates, while a progress wipe directly affects your save data by removing cosmetics/currency and the like. You'll still have the ability to download the beta as an Android user, but your save file may not remain intact if they decide they need to reset it for testing purposes.

Yeah, it's also why in the account menu it says "link" instead of "save." In actuality, your save doesn't get sent to those services, just your Sky ID, so when you reinstall or use a new device, the service can go: hey, x person uses Sky ID {blah-blah}. And the server will find that ID and send the info to your device. Really comes in handy when cough someone leaves their phone in their pockets when I do laundry for them.

Honestly I just focus on testing. we do regularly get asked by the mods not to be talking about hacks and hackers here for a few reasons. 1: drawing attention to them gives them exactly what they want. 2: it’s really more of a waste of your own time/energy to obsess over finding/reporting every one of them 3: there will always be hackers. patch one loop hole and they will find another.
If you come across one then report and move on. It’s not worth getting super upset over or trying to hunt them down. Focus on beta testing and bring more positivity to sky by doing good yourself.

I’ve been here since middle of 2018 and never missed anything, except a few IAP I just didn’t want. As someone else said, in the beginning it was all about the regular constellation Elder items. Those were the coveted ones. For me, seasons have always been an extra that wasn’t necessary to enjoy the main game. Perhaps that’s also why I don’t get the TS hype, although I do love and cherish some of those items also.

For example, I have 200 seasonal candles, but actually I have another 100 seasonal candles "in" red spot.
Then when it turn into Normal candles, I get 200 or 300?

Don't remember it ever being officially said. I think people just came to that conclusion on their own, seeing how it was in the QG tree instead of the spirits. Could be wrong about that, but also them not appearing there could very much be a bug too. We'll hopefully see once the devs are up

It sets a precedent, but not a guarantee that all future seasons will be designed like this either. Consider how Sanctuary, Prophecy and Dreams had all their seasonal spirits in maps which were completely new to the game at the time, but Assembly doesn't have the spirits all in the new treehouse area
