if you remember the little orbs you could burn for light from the fortune dragon. there should be pollution/darkness to burn away and restore the shore and geysers to their original pristine state.

it's not "on" all the time, so you might need to hang out for a little while to catch it, but if no one is experiencing the activities, something might be broken. I'll check with the dev who worked on it for more info/further investigation.

I was in sanctuary for a solid like 30-45 minutes earlier aggressively testing the afk timer so I was collecting wax in one spot, waiting 10 minutes and then going to a new spot and I never saw anything I saw the black gunk in the geysers but it wasn’t immediately apparent to me what I was supposed to do with that so I didn’t stay around

There were little balls to burn like from the Fortune Dragon but these balls didn’t leave behind any light/wax.
And I saw no dark plants if there are supposed to be some but some wax appeared after server merge

Me and a group of 7 others stood on the little things around the geyser and the bells thinking that was the "key" to activating it. We thought that was the deal because there was exactly 8 of those things. We were collecting 8 people for like 20 minutes being so sure that was the deal

So, there is a failed boat with the golden objects next to it pretty much like we see in Wasteland. From what I understand those golden things are parts of the diamond creation machines. So... there's no coincidence that these things may bring destruction.

Or they may be linked to darkness in some way like the diamond technology being sky realm's downfall theory.

I feel like they have plans to include more passive wax collection throughout the game , but they can’t do that with the current system.
If there’s no afk timer, people will be more inclined to leave their skykid afk under these types of constructs
People doing this in the realms means more servers with inactive players and less active players to help unlock areas that require 2 or more people.. imagine being in a server with predominantly afk players in daylight — beta 8-player door -> will be a common occurrence in live

I’m not really a fan of it either, but I am open to new forms of wax collection, so I am now compromising with the afk timer

In all honesty, rather than passive forms of wax collection, I really want them to get rid of the afk timer and give us more varied forms of active wax collection

I think the main concern for me, is how inadvertently it disrupts candle running and in addition disenfranchises players with disabilities, who need other people’s help to complete these runs. So while I see the issue with not having the afk timer, there are just as many issues when it is included. I think the best solution, would be to remove passive wax collection.

They've been talking about alternate form of wax collection since the start of the new system implementation, and I think the Days of Bloom tree was their testing ground - hoping that skykids would talk/interact under the tree and profit from wax at the same time. Instead, skykids just lie down and sleep there...

Afk players sometimes hurt other players without they even know how it hurts -
apart from the 8-player door there are other cases such as wasteland trees. And people thought players won't afk in dangerous locations...

You need to turn off accessibility menu on Android 11 for the controllers to work properly. Check if you have the accessibility menu active turn it off and try again. It worked for me on ps4 controller.

There’s actually a pc version of sky in the chinese server! The controls s u c k s so much... wsad for movement, space bar for jump/ fly, click on yourself for honk, shift for changing fly modes (which doesn’t react half the time), click and drag to move camera or swipe. Trust me it’s a pain if they bringing sky to pc they will really needa work on the controls

turn on auto update in Testflight, connect your device to wifi while you sleep and charge if you have low battery. check back next morning it will auto update for you. that’s what I do. when I wanna play during the day, I just click update and wait for 2-4 hours and check again. it is mostly a connection issue because ios beta downloads the whole game every new update which is around 1.3 GB. I notice that if I use my data it doesn’t take that long, but when I use wifi it takes forever

it depends how you quantify “worth” it’s different for everyone

the cape design is pretty unique and non symmetrical which i think is different to all the other capes, half of the cost of the cape is also going to a charity that helps with cleaning up our oceans which is super nice.

I was finally able to see the geyser cleaning. I think the cleaning may be a timely event rather than triggered by something. But I should add that I had a full server. Here are my notes:

• you first hear a sudden explosion sound and then wind starts to come out of golden things and between rocks. The wind travels for about 4.30 mins. (This may also be a delay/bug. On my second try the water got pulled down right away)
• then water gets pulled down and you hear a melody as it throws wax balls.
• about 15 seconds later the water fills back up and 30 seconds later it repeats the second step. This went on about 15 10 mins.
• and when it shoots the wax for last time, you once again hear a similar melody and the geyser doesn’t fill up with water anymore.

Here's what I personally think: the 2020 earth day cape will not return in live. It's purpose was to get funds to plant trees; the fundraising is over now, where would the money go? It would be unfair for people who bought it last year for it to be free this year (like the Santa hat). Maybe they could add half or something of the money to this year's fundraising?
I see it this way: the spells are a way for people who were not there last year to experience the cape someway.
I think the same of the white flower that was made to fundraise for covid.
Those items are not meant to return, I think. Maybe they will but they would lose their purpose, which is not being an item but a symbol

Technically speaking , every past event that brought back the past cosmetics were in the office (swing, batcape). And you know TGC only gives free spells when there's an item currently available for purchase so that we can try them out before purchasing. The appearance of the earth cape in office might be a bug , ok. But i dont think the appearance of free spells in the spell boat is a bug. And if that's the case it'd be an 'exclusive' item for the ios players since most of the android players were moths back then in enchantments. Why would it return? It's not meant to be a simple pretty cosmetic to have but it was a "reward" for partaking in a just cause.
If they are going to do the same fundraising this year too sweet! But they are already doing it for the seas this year.
For free it would not be right and it won't be right for TGC to keep all the money for it.
But who knows. I prefer not to get my hopes up, but I don't want to get yours down.
