The Chinese server is managed by net ease, so they have different traveling spirits too
I don’t think their ts is randomized though.. or if it is, I feel like some spirits are more weighted than others

that's because we don't actually test ts. when ts was first introduced to live, beta didn't get them at all for a few weeks. we only get them now because we didn't have anything to do during downtime between seasons.
the only exception was when we tested the new ts system for a week, where we got 3 in a row

that was a proposed new ts system that has since been shelved for another day. those nodes are adventure pass only, so you need a pass to buy it. when we were testing it, those nodes were free

it's not missing currency if you already spent it before the cosmetic shuffle. I can't get the ultimate cape either. that's just how beta works, things will get shuffled and change prices sometimes. it does sometimes mean you will miss out on things here but beta isn't a replacement for live anyways and plenty of people got the cape plus you can still try it on in the closet to give your feedback

it's an unnecessary waste of engineering resources to issue those kinds of compensations for a test version of the game.

we understand that it can be frustrating, but we are extremely transparent about it before players even begin testing. We recommend players who find these circumstances frustrating NOT play beta and wait for a more stable experience in Live.

It's a tiring process. At least how i did it. I move them with the torch. It took me 20 minutes to get them there.

Items like tables (which are big platforms) make them levitate if they're placed under them and then removed.

Also @magnetar#8737 not all spirits sell what they wear unfortunately. It would mean that one spirit from the rhythm would sell the ult gift hair lol

If you only have time to focus on one version of the game it shouldn’t be beta, your progress can be wiped at any time and there will be things that will only be obtainable in live (such as the days of healing flower and other seasonal items)

You can turn off notifications for pings manually, for example, I have notifications turned on so I get pinged when the beta updates ping role is pinged.

In bigger discord servers (like this one), you can’t get pinged for every single message here due to their size.

Also people can choose not to ping you while still replying to your message

There are YouTube videos of people pretending to be moths to see how people interact with them. Then they actively keep pretty much acting and saying they are moths to the people who help them. I’ve seen someone drag a veteran dressed as a moth all the way through Forest before they came clean about it. They had someone drag them through prairie before that. I know it would bother me if my goal was primarily to help new players only to spend an hour or so with someone who wasn’t pretending they were when I could have actually been helping a new player.

The times i wore something else then my moth cape can be counted on 2 hands in all the time I’ve played sky . For me its the simplicity and its easy , like in real life i suck at cosmetics. I also found that wearing my brownie cape makes me more accessible to new players for interaction. Somehow i just didnt bother anymore changing clothes, only if i cosplay with friends 😊

It’s obviously not really a trophy or anything, but it feels to me like something that would require a lot more work to raise, but then again I don’t know the qualifications it needs to go up and I speed ran to get myself caught up to Live. Don't buy from TS yet, it's still bugged. That's why it shows corrupt data. Try close the game and open game to see if the error screen disappeared.

The TS bug might not be fixed in beta by the time it leaves. Since it's not affecting live right now, it's not as much of a priority. They'll probably fix it eventually, but we don't know when or how long that would take

Hello, I wanna ask that there was a beta update about stopping people from collecting lights while AFKing, is that still a thing or eventually decided to be removed? the afk animation is already in live. however, it no longer stops you from collecting light.

I don’t recall the animation making me lose light, but then again I was running solo. That would explain why my skykid would randomly look like they were standing back up. I wasn’t producing 💤s when I had to touch the screen to let the game know I was playing. I had the controller AFK bug. They removed the AFK = No light system entirely for now. It seems to need more work before they add it back.

uh hey guys.. i know outfit requests aren't honored but there's been a gamebreaking bug in live that freezes iOS users upon login if they wear this specific outfit combination, so can i please ask an android user to try doing this outfit to see if anything happens in beta as well..? the specific outfit coordination is as follows:
prairie shorts, chibi mask, bloom hair + IAP orange, brown cape, bowtie + winter piano.
it has to be changed into in that order for the bug to occur.

you need everything listed, and you have to change them in an order i think... that's the most consistent way i could produce the bug!
the special thing for android users is, for some users (like me!) changing into the combination does nothing on your screen, but others could see you as glitched or invisible. for some others they straight up became invisible

A bug that could possibly lock you out of the game with a frozen screen if you dunno how to debug. Restart doesn’t fix it. Caused by a certain outfit combo.
It seems that it only causes frozen screen on iOS devices. Android will have an invisible Skykid/corrupt texture if you try this.
It could possibly freeze any iOS player in the same instance with you and also those(iOS) who try to click on your character from friend constellation.
How to debug/workaround:
basically all the buttons still work as normal, just you can't see them. Chat works normal too.
Method 1 : use an outfit spell and then restart the game (mask/prop spell might have better chance of working). Change into other outfits immediately afterwards.
Method 2 : ask an Android friend in the same instance with you to offer hand, take their hand. Ask them to drag you to the closet. Change to any other outfits. Restart game.
Method 3: if your game freezes after you click on a friend in constellation, then just avoid viewing this friend in constellation should fix this.

No need to report if it’s mentioned in #beta-known-issues or #known-issues too. Sometimes they might mention it on occasion and specifically ask for a bug report though so still important to read the whole message.

I just thought up the solution with some live testing personally, have been ‘lucky’ enough to test out this sort of freeze before. Even if there’s a work around though reporting can still be good to help narrow things down for the TGC team. Work arounds are great if you know them but for players not in the discord a bug like this would be pretty bad.

sometimes skybot just goes off on their own. complex programming. some of it is commands, some of it is keywords (both of which change constantly), and some of it is just skybot spouting lines randomly just because
as for talking about hackers here, the mods are more lenient at/around invite waves because it's helpful to the new beta players to know what to look out fot but it's generally discouraged to talk about them here since we don't want to be giving them the attention they crave. key things to look for: lightseekers umbrella or deer mask are impossible to have in beta (owl hair and bonfire are possible though) and spam buying anything in IAP shop. if you can't report then don't stress about it. if you can do so and move on.

I made a friend in fire trial on beta. When it got extremely difficult and we were stuck in there for hours. I liked them and talked a bit with them afterwards. They almost never got online after that never saw them again

To me, it's the backpack that screams "business". At first I was interested in some items ONLY because of the way they looked in your back, regardless of their use...

often when i find people with the heart over them (which usually means they joined within a week or two ago afaik) who have older cosmetics i always report them. its better to be safe than sorry. if theyre not hacking, then nothing will happen to them ! if they are, their account will be banned. its always best to assume they are hacking and report them

gratitude and lightseekers are not possible. belonging is because season was long enough to test. rhythm was too short to complete 100% but due to a cosmetics shuffle (owl hair and ult mask weren't the ults at first), it's possible to have owl hair and ult mask in beta if they were bought before cosmetic shuffle. every season after that has been sufficiently long enough to test andhave leftover candles

Programmed randomisers aren't entirely randomising. Most of them are based on the number pi(3.14...) which means if we randomise a number between 1-100 there are numbers more likely to be generated and ones who are least likely to do so

It's already reported and tgc is trying thier best to fix it as this is a big bug. If you find out the combo don't share it please. people can get curious and possibly damage their phone.

The person saying that they needed to get a new phone probably due to the bug freezing the screen and they thought there’s something wrong with the phone. But in my experience it just froze the screen, not even overheating. And Android players should be fine too, apart from seeing corrupt texture. But yes better not share the exact combo.
