We've only ever had one progress wipe in the Beta game, before iOS launch. It could happen at any time if needed for testing though, so keep in mind beta is a place for testing and not collecting cosmetics or currency

@charred adder bruh you know downloading APKs is against the Terms of Service, right? It could cause a lot of performance, account and malware issues for you. Trying to use APKs will result in download problems and may result in account data loss and inability to contact TGC support. APKs cannot be used to bypass the device incompatibility and do not help TGC with beta testing at all. Please don't use them or discuss them here.

just spent an hour testing the afk thing. conclusion: its weird and definitely not balanced.
it takes 2 minutes exactly to stop collecting light. the timer resets if you tap your screen, send something through chat, or enter a new area through a loading zone. if you go afk while typing, or even take over 2 minutes to type something in chat (so not really afk, just typing slow or something), you still lock yourself from getting wax.

It does not matter if you got the beta access through the Google account, you need to link it via the in-game menu for your progress to be saved. Then you can do the same on iOS to recover it

we don't know how long it will take for google to register that you got into beta. sometimes it takes hours, sometimes days. i've seen players get locked out for months, although that should be fixed. all you can do is wait for google to show that you can download it

the shepherd system is a little way to show how friendly you are. we don't really know how it works, but you can see your progress through the friend constellation. when that bar is full, you become a shepherd. shepherds can see a little heart symbol above new players, indicating who might need some extra help. new players cannot see who is a shepherd.

tldr: shepherds in the game can see new players. just be friendly and see what happens

Here’s an idea. Maybe suggest this.

Passive collection of wax should be limited to one candle per player. Depending on chevron level. The more chevron you have, the lesser time you wait to collect your candle under the tree. The lesser chevron, the longer time etc.

I think it’s a fair trade for the community. Instead of punishing afk players

i think it is a known bug that the link itself doesn't work but you need to actually scan the box/qr

i did not have to wait for the app to be available
once i became a tester, i simply clicked the link in the same page to download sky beta
i did notice, when i went to the playstore itself, it wasn't available for me
but in the browser everything progressed normally
