definitely, with a couple wedges forest is a challenge while with 11 I hardly think about recharging - I'm glad builds have added charging to many assembly features as those were quite inaccessible for low power capes

It’s much more of a threat to new players, given the fact that they have less stars and thus less energy for their cape. As a veteran, you’ve likely got upwards of 10 stars on your cape, you could spend a whole minute in the rain and still have some cape energy left to fly around.

Candle running at 0 chevrons is a pain - why, why, why is it so slow? I’ve already talked about this in the feedback channel, but the devs could at least keep the average forging speed once all the chevrons have been used up, it makes candle running in beta feel like it’s only worth doing at max chevrons.

I get that they’d have to rework the amount of wax available, but I can’t stand forging candles at that speed

I can see that, yeah - but it’s already slow enough in live, so I don’t really understand why it needs to be even slower once you’ve collected a few candles. A full candle run for me in live is about 45 minutes to an hour and a quarter, since I like to be thorough - I don’t think I’d be able to carry on for any longer than that.

The maximum player count for each server is 8, and the normal size of Home can easily fit that 8. Besides, it's small size encourages people to talk to eachother and gather in groups to play together.

We throw out more placeholders and prototypes than what players ever see, that's just the nature of game development and is by no means exclusive to sky.

Things that look cool or sounds neat on paper sometimes come out very different in a 3D space.

The longer you sit under the tree, the less rewarding it will because of increased forge rates as your chevrons deplete.

Sometimes the terrain polish is unoticable. In most cases, you won't see it at all because it has to do with the terrian geometry. When the team makes new terrian, they do their best to remove and smooth all edges out.

So far, this is likely the most unfinished season I've come across. This is a great example for those who don't understand that everything in beta is not final.

It's not efficient or a good use of time to spell out every pixel we move, so generalized statements like "terrain polish means the entire map was reviewed and things were moved around to ensure people don't fall through holes in the map, skirts on objects appear correctly, textures aren't stretched, no peculiar edges, or things like z-fighting are happening.

Essentially, Z Fighting is when two or more primitives have similar distance to a camera in 3d rendering. That means they have about equal values in a z buffer. 9/10 chance you won't understand it. It won't be important unless you're working with render fragmentation.

My device runs high def fine, it can run 60 fps also if I force it on. It's a Pixel 3a. Never have any performance issues since I have the Adreno Boost driver that will overclock the GPU if needed.

Yeah, that image you sent still has aliasing lines, not as pronounced, but you're zoomed in to your character, mine was a crop from a distance. High def mode (30 FPS) should be "native resolution" like iOS, but too many Android devices would crash like before, so we got lower res and upscaled with FSAA to compensate. It's not the best, but seems less quality in beta.

It’s not too over top tbh, Genshin uses the same method for merging players who want to play some domain and it works pretty well.. because you’re not sitting there hoping someone is in the right mood to help out all the way... you’ll find players nice enough to help, but not always :(

Let's say you're the one wanting help. You'd press the button, and on my screen, I'd see a pop-up that says that you need help with a quest, do I want to help? If I say yes, I get teleported to you, and help. If I say no, I get to be on my way.

Sorry for late reply on this, but quality does matter, even in beta as once this version goes live, the graphical changes go live also. Feedback on every aspect of the beta is important so live players get the best experience possible.

It's still sad that a device which can handle the higher graphics of 60 fps mode but only can run it at 40 fps can't get that same graphical quality or even better at high def mode 30 fps, which by the settings is supposed to be a higher quality anyway. (3 bolts compared to 2)

But try to sit down and talk to them about the cape, and how they got it. Maybe ask if they have the Bonfire (which is an unobtainable item in Beta bc Reasons)

The general meaning of a chevron is a v shape pattern or arrow like pattern. In sky chevron refers to the speed of the forge rate of the candles ( the arrows beside your candle meter at the top left hand on your screen are called chevrons) XD the lesser the chevron, the slower the forging rate. Hope this is an accurate explanation
