The simple answer? We don't want players to have the means to choose their exact height. This is 100% intentional and the wide variety of heights available is on purpose. To paraphrase our Creative Director: You can't choose your height in real life, and you can't choose your height in Sky. Is it unfair? yes, but it creates an opportunity to love yourself exactly how you are.

In terms of the 4000 heights, I think the number is an expression of precision though (it’s a scale of -2.000 to 2.000 according to the FAQ )

Yes to that precision, it would be technically 4001 different heights. And yes if one wanted to get a specific height such as 1.462 it would be a 1/4001 chance to get that height. Or if you wanted to get a height of exactly 2.000, it would be a 1/4001 chance. (Keeping in mind though, the FAQ says your height will change by at least a magnitude of 0.8, so the chance may differ depending on your current height)

But if it’s considered roughly in brackets, such as -2.000 to -1.500, -1.500 to -1.000, -1.000 to -0.500 etc, that would break it up into 8 brackets, and you would have a 1/8 chance of getting a specific height bracket.

The difference in the precision seems to be more about subtlety (for example, rather than it being likely that there are people who have exactly the same height e.g. -1.0, one might have slightly higher than that and the other slightly lower. I think this can give some nuance to each player rather than them having exactly identical heights )

Me too, I'd previously reported it as a bug. I do hope its not that the seesaw is almost all moving parts, but worry that might be the reason/complication to add collision to them both. The swing frame still seems to have collision but not the swing seats themselves which move.

It’s to help evenly distribute wax throughout all of the realms. Vault in the past had a lack of wax compared to other realms like Wasteland, so I assume they are looking for ways to add more wax to the realms that are lacking in it.

Yeah, the devs want to encourage folks to go to any realm they want and have fun instead of making themselves go to Wasteland or Prairie since those were the realms with the most wax/candles. Now people can go to any realm and not worry about not getting as much wax.

Zero chevron is painfully slow to collect and i don't suggest to do that unless you want to run more than a full realm for a single candle. I actually like the new hide & seek spirit, I think it makes sense to have their character be a child, since it's usually a game that children play. And it would make more sense for them to have the chibi mask that makes you small, if they're a child spirit instead of really tall. I really don't mind TGC going back and polishing some of the spirits and stories from the main constellations, like how they did with some of the Isle spirits a while back

It would also probably be relatively easy for them to add the dress to that spirit's tree (if that is the plan, not confirmed yet) since there aren't many things in there. Just a hairstyle and the mask right now

I found out that the little dark balls work like darkness, instead of shrinking, the colour balls in it grow and explode, if you don’t continue to light it, it shrinks, I think the coloured part is light and the darkness is the black part!

The swing seats and rope has no collision. The frame does have collision though and does in beta too. Since #beta-known-issues says the swing hasn't been changed for 2021 and the frame has always had collision I assume it will be staying for now.

That's also a bug but if you like it then be sure to leave your feedback in #beta-feedback. In the past prophecy ultimate mask () changed colours depending on what was worn as a bug. Some people liked it but it was removed because due to the nature of it being a bug it didn't work well and might not work for future updates.
Due to that though it can give ideas to the team on what the community would be interested to see if they ever decide to make another mask that has it as a feature. Its not a certainty at all but its interesting to see when some of these more curious bugs happen.

I am upset about the crabs changing also. The silver lining: the replacement objects are quite pretty. While blowing up crabs (while within the lore, and is just due to them always wanting to kill us) makes more sense, it still is pretty bad out of context. Imagine you are playing sky during a break, see the visitor, and start lighting up the crabs and someone asks you what you're doing on Sky. "Blowing up crabs" does seem a little extreme for people who don't know the game's lore.

Last update for Android was a 15mb "delta" update... At least for me it was.

I think that the crabs got removed specifically because of players who are more sensitive. Sky is the opposite of a violent game after all. We have the friendsnotfood command to remind discord users to treat sky creatures with respect. And even the crab bbq is pretty well hidden so those whom it bothers never have to encounter it if they won't want to. But the Fortune dragon being in home space made that hard to avoid. I think the colorful orbs are much prettier myself! and it makes sense that those would pop like confetti

Why do I find new players in beta? Aren't you supposed to enter with just invitations?

and thats also because android can join right through the playstore, while iOS cant access from their appstore so we have to use an invite that takes us to testflight

Anyone had trouble teleporting to friends lately?
Like I tried to help my friends on 8player door but no matter what I do, I cant teleport to them, and no, server wasn't full, this happened a few times already with different people and I want the only one trying, QwQ

If your friend didn’t go there on their own, but teleported to someone who was already there, you won’t be able to join. What I do usually when this happens is

1. Either ask them to get out ( their savepoint will be in prairie thanks to this, so you can join)
2. I fly there, go in, and wait for a server merge, which will happen eventually.

My other 2 friends (2 different times in beta) that i had trouble teleporting were at home and neather of us couldn't teleport to each other and serves were not full.

I had an issue yesterday where I was able to teleport to an android friend but not an ios one. and the ios friend couldn't teleport to either of the androids until they'd restarted their game about 3 times

I've noticed that the new bun hairstyle has an actual texture compared to other hairstyles. Is tgc planning to change the texture of every hairstyle?

I don’t think so. They mentioned in the “known issues” that some hairs look to shiny (probably referring to this one?) so I think it’s a bug.

i like the new model. it fits more with the chibi mask and a child spirit playing hide and seek also makes a lot moe sense i dont think keeping it simpky for lols would make much sense and you can still make the jokes about it. heck make a joke that she finally actually put the chibi mask on

I think it works like regular heart trading: u can do it as many times in a day as you want but you can’t do it multiple times with the same person

it's usually very hard to server merge with just one person, especially in beta. the door requires 2 people to open it, which makes it hard. there are a few players that glitch into the door, but they'll usually merge with smaller instances first

Yeah, even in live 7 is the unlucky number there. Beta is just cricket noises compared so I’d say it’s more just you need to get super lucky than it being a bug. We could always gather two groups of 4 there to try and force a merge and see if that works?

if you get 7 in beta, i'd just go straight to #beta-looking-for-group and get someone to warp to you. it's way faster

It's because we don't want the beta version to be used for trying stuff on or as an early access. The main goal is bug hunting and that should always remain.
