We test those things, give feedback and point flaws
Then they go back to work on it and refine the servers
It's ciclycal, and if the bugs are so bad they will postpone the season release in live

You cannot buy candles in beta, this info is included in #beta-faq as intentional. The buying season candles repeatedly you're described was a bug and we removed all those candles from players. Anyone who is doing this now is a hacker and should be reported in-game.

If they can't afford to buy the ap- idk.. people gets the cherry for those who paid for it. Simple as that.
If they want the exclusive items so bad, then buy it. TGC is a company who has potential peoole and they need to pay those people. If you are an artist, you gonna make a high price for your art- how does it feel when u give it for free to after 2 months people who kept waiting- while those people who paid for your art seeing others got it for free just by waiting? If that's the case, then NO ONE WILL BUY YOUR ART anymore- cuz people are patient enough to get it for free. People are smart enough instead of buying AP, they just buy clothes and stuffs- when it is already free after few months later .. just saying.

i think the reason they are adding the pass exclusive items for ts is also because the spirits are gettjng more cosmetics. Like with only four spirits, all of them have 3-4 cosmetics. TGC won’t gain money from this change, they’ll actually lose it from people not buying candle packs as much to get items they want instead of grinding

TGC already said they want this game to be accessible for f2p players and I think that’s a great idea. It’s unfair for those who still love the game but cannot support it with real currency. Children play this game who don’t have money, teens in college play this game who don’t have money, there are so many reasons one might simply not be able to afford the pass
This game is about expressing yourself and people do that in several ways. Pay to win was never the intention of this game
My compromise offer is to still allow those who bought the pass to get those items free, but allow f2p players to still grind and buy the items as normal.

I think its pretty unfair that people are complaining over this traveling spirit update, like said above, if you want something you buy it. Yes, this makes a big difference to the game because i know some people are upset by this because they cannot afford some stuff. And with this new upcoming event (Days of Feast) there will be very few IAPS (snowflake cape and antlers, cape is not availible yet) but them adding a tree for in-game currencies are nice and it helps out the ones who cant afford. As someone who manages a lot of schoolwork irl i know its hard to grind, and ever worse knowing that something that you had worked really hard for something that you cant get is upsetting, but tgc is working hard for us. Just saying, just be happy we get something from a different season!

Yeah, I'm a f2p player, and I feel kinda upset about this update if it ever comes to live.
One of the reasons they're doing it iss because some peoole are being salty about the items being free, but those people forget that a lot of people are actually buying candle packs for those said items. Buying candle packs for those items are much more costly than it was for AP. So for a lot of players, they actually pay them with irl miney, like it was during the original Season. I know I said this here before, but I'm gonnna bring it up again

on the f2p vs paid players thing I feel like both sides of the coin get upset at the other for not understanding their own side while not bothering to understand the other side either. Sky is not a pay to win game (thankfully) but the devs do still need income so there has to be some sort of motivation for people to purchase items in game. However, this ap pass lock is NOT for TGC to make money off of though. it’s one possible solution to people complaining about how hard you have to grind to get both TS and still work on base game items. Remember this is beta and we have quite a few features that have been in the game for months that never made it live. Please be kind when discussing it here and especially be kind/constructive when giving your feedback to the devs. They’re only human and they have a lot on their plate between handling 50 million live players, new seasons constantly, general beta chaos, and the upcoming switch release.

As far as I know, we've made no changes with the clear intent to fix the "home glitch." With that said, if there were other changes in the process of developing or improving existing features that rendered this glitch ineffective, it was purely a coincidence. The fact that "glitch" is in the name is a pretty clear indication that it's the result of a bug, and is subject to being fixed at any time. While we try to preserve glitches/bugs that don't give anyone an unfair advantage or impact game economy, we won't preserve them at the expense of ensuring new or existing features work correctly. Bugs can be fun, but it's important not to get attached to unintended "features" that are not actual features.

I can confirm this! In the cave in Prairie, there's a constellation shaped thing. You can meditate there and it starts a light collecting minigame! It gives you a candle for completion

last night before I fell asleep on accident, I soon managed to find the spirit with the instrument and hat in village of dreams, but for some reason the first and second memory kept moving back and forth of the sorts to the point that I had to activate him almost 3 times just to get his emote.
